About the Thermal Water
Today, Bükfürdő is one of the most important health resorts in Western Hungary. The medicinal water emerges from a depth of 1282 m with a temperature of 56oC. It belongs to the group of thermal waters but, because of its salt content, it also belongs to the group of alkaline calcareous, hydro-carbonic waters. With its free carbonic acid content above 1000 mg, it also meets the internationally established criteria for carbonic acid springs.
Because of its high content of calcium, magnesium, hydro-carbonate, carbon-dioxide and iron, it can be used both for drinking and bathing therapies.

Spa Stays
The hotel offers both traditional 'Therapeutic' and 'Well-being' stays
Indications: rheumatism except acute inflammations, traumatological and orthopaedic follow-up treatments, chronic inflammation of joints, pain of joint and muscle/myalgia, arthalgia, complaints of vertebrae/lumbago, sciatica, rehabilitation after implantation of prosthesis, Bechterew-disease, postoperative rehabilitation, spondylarthritis, polyarthritis, dyscopathy, inflammations and knitting after operations, manager-disease, exhaustion.
Contraindications: infectious diseases, acute thrombosis, thrombophlebitis (in case of significantly acute varicose veins thermal bath cannot be applied), serious cases of anaemia, exophthalmic goitre in case of basedow-disease, tuberculosis, all kinds of malignant tumour, circulatory disturbances combined with cardiac insufficiency, circulatory disorders of angina pectoris at an advanced stage, bronchial asthma, hypertonia, acute inflammations of upper respiratory tracts (influenza), viral infections.
Therapeutic Stays
Using our natural resources combined with the expertise of our medical team and physiotherapists, these stays are designed to treat the complaints listed in the Indications. The recommended length of stay is between 14 and 21 days.
