This traditional pub, built in 1735, has an interesting past since many famous characters have been patrons of The Globe, including Charles Dickens. It is rumoured that the youngest Prime Minister in British history, William Pitt the Younger, and Sir Arthur Conan Doyle would have been regular diners along with the writers and critics who frequented the tavern.
