Good: Everything was perfect - breakfast, dinner, bar, pool and sauna. Clean. Bad: The windows cannot be open and it was warm in the night.

The new rooms were really nice, the food selection was great and it was quite.

Good: Easy check-in, very friendly staff throughout the hotel. The bed was super comfortable. The hotel is being refurbished and all common areas, the spa and restaurants are superb. We stayed in one of the rooms yet to be refurbished however it didn't take from our experience. Bad: The kettle and aircon in our room wasn't working however it wasn't really an issue for us.

Good: Access to the pool, spa, and rooftop terrace with herb gardens is a beautiful bonus to staying here. Bad: To buy food was pricey.

Good: We really liked our stay here and we recommended. Beautiful hotel lobby and bar and located in a quiet area by the Danube. We stayed in one of the older rooms so we cannot comment on the new refurbished rooms. But we loved our old style hotel room. Very comfortable e stylish on it's own way. The little park between the hotel and river was lovely. Bad: The air-conditioning was not working properly so the room was a bit too warm for the hot spring days we had. We were assigned a first floor room with a window facing the ugly site air-condittioners above the entrance. Not a problem for us, but it was indeed an ugly view. The breakfast lacked some quality in the cold cuts section, but it was plentiful and varied.

Good: The room was very clean and very comfortable, the staff were friendly and the breakfast was great.

Good: Swimming pool , sauna, view from room , parking, bed mattress, fridge in the room + coffee. Professional staff and service. This place is super clean and well maintained ! Bad: 5 hours late check out charge was 60 euro... that's a bit expensive...

Good: That was my third time in the hotel and impression was the same as previous two times - wonderful. For first time was in a room which is still not renovated but its condition was perfect. Very clean, nice furniture, all needed. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful towards the guests.. Spa zone is also great. There were even more choices for breakfast. The men who are working and renovating the floor where my room was were greeting and smiling. Danubius hotel is my hotel for the trips I have to Budapest! Thank you!!!

Good: Breakfast had a great selection of all kinds of meats, cheese, veggies and bread! We loved the opinion of the freshly made omelette of your liking! We enjoyed the wellness so much, there are three different temperature pools as well as other services such as salt cave - for a cheap price of 5000 huf for two! Clean, spacious rooms that had a great view! Great location - quiet and right by the Danube, the center was about 15 minutes away by bus! Bad: The hotel staff was always nice and helpful, however the staff at the wellness center (except the lady) was quite rude and when we were at the salt cave, the guy told us he would come for us in 45 minutes, but he hasn't come even after an hour - so we had to leave ourselves, thus we would have stayed there for longer than is recommended! The disappointment was the fact, that after we told it to the guy at reception, he didn't acknowledge it and was quite rude.

Good: Location, the welcome from the staff, concierge most helpful! The room super clean, great breakfast… Bad: Maybe consider having the air con set a bit lower as we couldn’t reset it and we couldn’t open the window due to the noise from reconstruction and the room was really too hot..

We love the location, the service , and the breakfast buffet.

Good: Our 7 days stay was exceptional…after a whole day of visiting places and coming back to the hotel and going to the spa was relaxing… the breakfast was good even if everyday the same food served… the rooms were clean and the cleaning lady was so friendly and accomodating ( short haired lady ) from the second floor… the area was near a grocery store and so convenient for us to buy our personal needs…. Highly recommended ❤️ Bad: Nothing

Good: Excellent facilities , Location on the banks of the Danube. Wonderful swim and wellness facilities. Good meals in a nice informal setting. Staff are wonderful. Bad: Nothing.

Good: Nice hotel in every way, except for the pool. The pool was not cleaned for ages (from the amount of dirt on the bottom), and nobody told about "quiet hours" from 8pm, as we entered the pool area at 7:45 pm. Nice breakfast. Bad: The pool staff could have been more friendly and helpful. they didn't told about quiet hours in the pool area, and as a result, we were expelled from the pool, when my son called mom (it wasn't any older, than the average noise level there). The pools also could have been cleaned properly, there was many dirt on the bottom and in the water.

Good: U will see beautiful Danube River when wake up and marvelous lightning when go to bed. All monuments in walking distance. Easy and fast get to main streets restaurants. And! Most important: staff take care of U, like U r a part of Family. Bad: -

Good: Upper floors are renovated and confy.

Good: Excellent variety of heated pools and love that they have quiet hours where kids aren't allowed. Nice view of the river from the room. Good selection at breakfast. Easy luggage storing facilities. 5 minute walk to the M3 metro line. Good size fridge to store a few drinks and chocolate. Will stay here again next time. Bad: Room was a little warm for my liking as the towel heater/radiator in the bathroom was always on. Couldnt seem to turn the air conditioning on to a lower temperature.

Good: Comfortable bed, multi options for breakfast and good spa area. Very close transportation options to get to city center. Bad: A little too cosy room

Good: Friendly and helpful staff, cleanliness, facilities and breakfast. Swimming pool/sauna. Luggage room. Bad: The room was too hot, air con did not work. Only one small window that worked. The salt room is chargeable extra, needs to be pre-booked, relaxing but wear some clothes or a robe, it is chilly.

Good: ultra friendly and professional staff, great bf, wellness could not be better, also the a'la carte restaurant is hoghly recommended Bad: due to maintanence was a bit noisy, but sure it will be even better when the mission is acomplished.

Good: The view of the Danube river, the hotel staff, very friendly and helpful, the room is quite big with a comfortable bed including all necessary amenities, daily room cleaning, excellent choice for breakfast, spa, pools and gym are great. The restaurant at the hotel is good with fair prices. The hotel is located a couple of kilometers from the city center, if you like to walk, you will need about 30 minutes right on the river embankment. The hotel has a big parking lot with a daily rate for their guests. Bad: The windows in the room cannot be opened, except partially one small window, maybe due to safety reasons, but it would be nicer to open it completely for the view towards the river.

Good: The staff is so friendly, helping. Breakfast is very good, you have a lot of options. Spa is a bonus. Hotel is very clean, and the underground is just a few minutes away. Bad: Clean, renovated.

Good: Spa and pool area was fantastic , very clean and easy to use . Breakfast was good value for money and room was very comfortable . Bar area was good as was the menu choice . Would stay again if revisiting Budapest Bad: The pool area appeared to be very busy at certain times and we weren’t sure if this was because it may have been open to the local residents . Room was due for an upgrade but we could see that this was ongoing in the hotel . Didn’t really bother us as our room was very comfortable and clean but just a little dated !

Good: The hotel was really nice. The pool area was excellent. Nice breakfast. Wonderful staff 👏 Bad: There was some construction work going on at the hotel at that time, you wouldn't notice it at first but we where woken up by the noise in the morning which was not that Bad because it helped up went on time for Breakfast :)

Good: Great staff. Amazing facilities esp their spa and fitness. Three different pools which we thoroughly enjoyed - much on lines of the thermal bath spa. Awesome breakfast and good ala carte restaurant. Loved the Danube view and contemporary feel. Bad: Walls / doors were not well soundproof and one could hear others talking in the adjacent room/ hallway.

Good: Renovated rooms with a modern look on the 5th floor and sooo comfy beds, pleasant staff, wonderful view from the Danube - highly recommend it!!!

Good: Breakfast was rich and very nice with view of Danube river, Spa is comfortable with 3 pools with different temperatures for each tast. Sauna is also very nice and clean. Staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Hotel is just 3 min away from the bus station and it takes 20-25 min to city center. Renovated parts are really very nice, comfortable and clean - way to go in improving the hotel :) Rooms are equipped with coffee maker and fridge wich is also really nice. Bad: we have booked one of the cheaper, still not renovated rooms, and there were some traces of mold on the buthtub edge As announced, there are renovation works on upper floors, and I've expected to hear it, but not already starting at 7 am - it wasn't loud, but you could notice that works are taking place

Good: I have long wanted to spend some time in this hotel....It was divine! Bad: Reception, room, cleanliness, dinner, spa... everything is fantastic!

Had stayed here for 5 nights for a software engineering conference(2019 pre covid era) view from the room was excellent and the room was big was a double split beds kinda room,atleast the room that was alloted to me directly faced the riverfront at night i could also see the lights on the bridges and the famous parliment building from my window. Breakfast and lunch(free since conference) and other snacks,pattisere, drinks(again free) were excellent,quite the variety. Front desk lady was super polite and showed on a actual physical map what all we could visit,where the trams,bus lines were etc etc. Other staff was super polite and friendly too(expected some racism as a person of indian origin,got none like absolute zero racism). Bathroom was slightly smaller than expected but was well heated. Sundecks great for sunbathing too. Buildings around the hotel seems straight out of a cold war/spy cold war movie. Best part was its located near to the metro,bus lines and is in the quite part of the riverfront rather than the crowded part of budapest near the chain birdge. The riverfront was quite peaceful to sit and relax in the evenings.

Good: Price of breakfast was different first day and second day...everything else was great and awesome.

Good: Very comfortable beds, nice view, nice breakfast. The swimming pools were great and interesting (three pools with different water temperature). The staff was friendly and kind.

Good: I am staying at this hotel all time when I travel to Budapest. They are renewing the rooms, the lobby is updated and really nice and SPA facilities are great. Good breakfast, kind staffing, safe parking, confortable rooms, good location nearby Danube and old city town. Bad: Some floors are in renewing phase and there are some working arround (it was not too disturbing for us). On the other hand, my Danubius loyalty card was expired and I need to send some mails to somebody to re-activated it. I was expecting to be done there, at the front desk, not spending time with mails and paper works, but this is not related to the overall impression which is a good one.

Good: Nice wellness, comfortable beds. Bad: Staff can speak louder. I can not understand them sometimes.

Good: Nice ambience, lobby area and great breakfast. Bad: Unfortunately some part of the hotel wing was under construction which caused some drilling noise during the day but it wasn’t unbearable.

Good: We stayed at the Helia Hotel in Budapest for the umpteenth time. We had a great time again. Friendly service, perfect location, abundant and delicious breakfast, comfortable, clean room. We will come again next time.

Good: Stay in the hotel was very pleasant. Food was really excellent. It is possible to accommodate in the hotel with dog. Fee for dog is quite high, but personal is more than friendly to dogs. You can feel really welcomed with our pet. Thank you.

Good: Really nice place - I have stayed in one of the renovated rooms. I didn't had time to visit the spa center this time, but both restaurants in which I have had dinner are great. Very good breakfast :) Really close to the public transport stops.

Good: The heated swimming pools was nice to spend time with kids. Also, the breakfast included a variety of options. Bad: NA

My husband and I love the breakfast buffet and the relaxed feeling of the hotel. We also loved the small restaurant, "Yellow," where we had two excellent meals with family. The health club is a wonderful opportunity to work out in the exercise rooms. There are two floors: one for weight training and the second for cardio exercises. bikes, treadmills, and ellipticals. Most of all, we love the three pools of different temperatures. The hotel has all we need for a wonderful getaway.
