Let’s meet at the Belgian!

Let’s meet at the Belgian!

The Belgian Pub and Restaurant is a favourite meeting place not just for people who live in Győr but for those visiting it as well. In a friendly, laid-back atmosphere, you can enjoy the head chef’s special culinary creations, and sample some great Belgian beers and outstanding local wines. The wide selection of food and drinks on the menu assures that everyone will find something to their taste. The furnishings are also special: the huge bar counter that stretches out in the middle of the room, the elaborate carvings of the chairs, and the antique chandeliers create a genuine pre-war coffeehouse feel.

The Belgian awaits you with a journey through time and taste as your eyes leisurely scan the furnishings from the era of our grandmothers and linger over the relics of Flemish and Belgian master brewers.
The air-conditioned restaurant with capacity for 80 people is an ideal and special venue for informal gatherings and business events alike.

Spoilt for choice
Savoury beer snacks, sophisticated starters, flavoursome soups, unusual Belgian salads and treasures from Neptune’s empire are all included in the menu, as are the richly garnished local specialties of the Rábaköz region, colourful varieties of pasta, unmissable retro dishes and irresistible desserts…
Our master chefs shape the offering on the menu with unmatched creativity and careful attention.

Belgian beers
Belgian beers are so flavoursome and diverse that they deserve comparison with the sophisticated flavours and diversity of famous wines.
Let’s familiarise ourselves with the specialties and unmatched selection of the “Home of Beer”! The Belgian beers on sale at our pub boast special flavours unknown in Hungary.
Let’s taste the abbey and Trappist beers, wheat beers, spontaneous fermentation beers, fruit-flavoured beers, and dark and semi-dark beers made based on the centuries-old traditions of Flemish and Wallonian master brewers.
It’s a special feature of Belgian beers that almost every one has its own glass: the thickness, shape and volume of the glass depends on the consumption temperature, and the flavour and aroma of the beer, while the characteristic shape of the glasses of abbey beers is reminiscent of the chalices used in religious services.
When tasting a Belgian beer, do so as if you were tasting wine.
Belgian beers are richly aromatic, so don’t forget to enjoy their fragrance too, and to pay attention to the after-taste as well, as it tends to linger for some long and pleasant moments on your palate.
