Hotels in Smrdáky, the “Mecca” for health touristsRelax and heal in the Slovakian spa town, where your body and soul will recharge!
Smrdáky – which means “smelly rock” - was named in 1898 after the thermal spring which breaks the surface here. The baths were first mentioned in 1617, and over the centuries it became one of the most popular spas in Slovakia. The thermal water gathers fourteen different salt, sulfur and iodine containing springs with temperatures between 12-17 °C. The spa is also known as the Slovak Dead Sea because of the extremely high salinity of its waters. Mud treatments are very effective against rheumatism and skin diseases.
