Danubius Health Spa Resort Hévíz

The town’s biggest attraction, the thermal lake, is only a 5-minute walk from the hotel. Here – while soaking, neck-deep in the medicinal water – you can admire the East Indian red water lilies that cover the lake’s surface in the summer, or in winter the veil of mist rising from the lake. After bathing, it’s worth visiting some of the local historical memorial sites, such as the Jupiter altar stone left from the Roman age, and the Villa Rustica, or perhaps visit the wine cellars of Egregy, which is renowned for its white wines.

Danubius Health Spa Resort Aqua

The town’s first wellness and medicinal spa hotel is barely a few minutes walk away from the famous thermal lake, where you can enjoy the beneficial effects of the thermal water all year round. But there’s more to Hévíz than just the lake! Walk the length of the atmospheric pedestrianised main street, among the historical buildings, the most famous of which are the Nyírádi and Pócza villas. The Egregy district, famous for its delicious white wines, is a popular destination for wine lovers.
