e Singing Fountain belongs amongst the dominant sights of Mariánské Lázně. It is situated on the colonnade by the statue of Abbot Reitenberger. It usually plays every odd hour, and compositions take place in a regular order. The Singing Fountain played for the first time on 30 April 1986. It operates every year from May to October.
A circular pool of 18 m in diameter with a 12-piece stone sculpture of a conventionalised flower forms the Singing Fountain; the centre is fashioned from polished steel. The fountain has 10 basic jet systems with over two hundred and fifty water jets; the middle jet reaches a height of six metres. The operation of the whole fountain is computerised, which enables the creation of interesting jet combinations, including a colourful illumination. The author of this artistic design is Pavel Mišík, an academic architect.
