MARIENBAD SPA TREATMENT STAY GUEST SURVEY

Research carried out by Durham University indicates that 66% of people surveyed experienced positive benefits to their well being, and sleep quality after treatment at Marienbad Spa in The Czech Republic-


Summary

The guests questioned this survey, are reflective of the resort’s guest mix. Most were in the 60+ age bracket (just over half women) suffering from some sort of pain or post operative states. The majority were on a package of 2 weeks including 3 or 4 treatments per day. These were the following results:

  • For the majority of the guests - 63 customers of 80 - all felt that their pain was relieved to differing degrees by the therapy.
  • Massage, mud peat packs and dry carbon dioxide (CO2) gas baths & applications were the top 3 therapies as chosen by the guests.
  • The majority of customers visit the spa annually (51 participants, 64%) because of the positive results of the treatment.
  • 36% of the guests reduced their medication amounts.
  • Most of the guests felt there were benefits and improvement to all aspects of personal wellbeing, anxiety/stress level and sleep quality.

For the majority, 63 customers of 80, they all feel the pain has been relieved to differing degrees following therapy. And there no customers who feel that the treatment increased the pain level.
Only based on this survey result, it seems that balneotherapy can relieve pain levels in the majority of cases. However, the effectiveness and benefits can vary according to the individual.
