Many of London\u2019s art galleries and museums are free, including the magnificent British Museum<\/a>. If you get caught in a downpour in Trafalgar Square, then the National Gallery<\/a>, National Portrait Gallery<\/a> and Somerset House<\/a> are all within a couple of minutes walk of each other. Or, if you\u2019re caught in the rain in South Kensington, you\u2019ll find the Natural History Museum<\/a>, Science Museum<\/a> and V&A <\/a>all within a short walk of each other.<\/p>\n

2.Visit a traditional covered market<\/strong><\/p>\n

London markets are ideal shopping destinations, selling everything from clothes to flowers, food, modern art to antiques.<\/p>\n

Greenwich Market is a fine example of a Victorian covered market, and Leadenhall Market or Covent Garden Market also have similar traditional structures. Borough Market isn\u2019t a bad place to get caught in the rain either \u2013 especially if you\u2019re hungry.\u00a0This dazzling market is considered by foodies \u201cheaven on earth\u201d, as it offers a vast array of artisan food and difficult-to-find ingredients.<\/p>\n
