Program Description
The villa, built in 1870, was owned by the famous writer for 20 years. It was here that Jókai wrote his novel “Az arany ember” (English translations: Timar's Two Worlds, and Modern Midas; The Man with the Golden Touch) and numerous short stories. The permanent exhibition gives us a glimpse into the everyday life of the Jókai family.
