My stay at Astoria was most enjoyable. Hotel is very close to all attractions, just hop on and hop off the bus. Staff is very courteous and friendly. Food is excellent.

Fabulous location! Very convenient and nearby very good eateries. the only downside was the room was very warm, so sleeping with the windows open in a neighborhood that does not sleep.

A very central hotel with a metro on the door step.The staff made us feel very welcome and were always ready to help.The room was spacious,clean and quiet.The bed was very comfortable.An excellent breakfast plenty of choice also you just asked and a perfect omelette was made for you.Would recommend this hotel for a short break.

This Hotel is in a really central Position for touring the city. Near the metro, buses and tram lines. In easy walking distance of the Danube and many of the tourist attractions. The Hotel has real old world charm. The staff are helpful and pleasant. A real taste of old world charm

Excelente la ubicación , caminando puedes llegar a la calle vaci utca , la avenida Andrassi , la ópera etc, la estación del metro prácticamente en el hotel.

Great location. Old world charm and service - great value.

The metro is right at the door, a little coffee shop near by and a few restaurants. You can also walk to everything if you have the time. The metro is clean and very easy to use. There are stops near every major sites. The restaurant in the hotel is beautiful but serves mostly Hungarian food. Good for one night maybe but there are many restaurants within walking distance, about 10 minutes. The staff is very courteous and efficient.

We had an amazing stay. The hotel was fabulous, opulent with very helpful and friendly staff. The breakfast choices were excellent. The decor was gorgeous. We loved the city, our first visit and will be recommending it to family and friends. Stayed 4 nights but wished we had been there longer.

Excellent from arrival to departure, great location and very friendly, courteous staff made the whole experience a pleasure, would highly recommend this hotel.

Great location for our week long stay. Grand old hotel with spacious rooms, comfortable beds and very well appointed. Quiet and had excellent air con. Separate doonas on queen size bed- a great idea. Helpful concierge and staff who go out of their way to assist. Breakfast catered for everyone with lots of choice available. Very close to cafes, bars and supermarkets. Easy walking distance to Jewish Quarter, City centre, Ruin Bars and city markets. We will definitely stay there again on our next trip to Budapest.

Hyvä sijainti keskustassa, josta hyvät liikenneyhteydet eri puolille kaupunkia. Ystävällinen, nopea ja asiantunteva palvelu. Huone (Deluxe) tilava, siisti ja ajan henkeen sisustettu. Suurkaupungin äänet kuuluivat jonkin verran huoneeseen. Ilmastointi toimi erinomaisesti, vaikka ulkona oli ajoittain +34 astetta lämmmintä. Kaksoisvuode kapeahko kahdelle aikuiselle henkilölle. Aamiainen tuore, runsas ja monipuolinen. Aamiaisella mahdollisuus tilata erilaisia kahvia ja muna-pekoni -yhdistelmiä ilman extrahintaa.

Hotel Astoria ligger perfekt i Budapest - i gåafstand til de fleste seværdigheder. - Dejlig morgenbord...

Eksepsjonell god service. Jeg hadde forlagt ett kolli i taxien og hotellet gikk ut av sin vei for å få tak i den igjen. I tillegg strakk de seg langt da jeg kom sent og uten bagasje for å akkomodere mine behov.

Excellent location. Got upgrade to junior suite. Only negative point is street noise. Breakfast is excellent. Staff is very helpful.

Good: Snyggt och elegant i klassisk stil, för ett vid tillfället rabbaterat pris. Mycket dekorativ och riklig frukostbuffe. Bad: Flygbussar och taxi har svårt att parkera utanför p.g.a. den livliga trafiken. Jag upplevde hotellet, klassiskt elegant med förekommande personal, och en mycket påkostad frukostbuffe i trivsam miljö. Hotellet är dessutom centralt beläget, med goda kommunikationer. Utmärkt!

Beautiful hotel, lovely decor, very friendly staff, clean and tidy. In a good area, reasonably near all the main attractions. Relaxed bar atmosphere and serenaded by a band a couple of times, highly recommend.

Excellent hotel, good value for money, well placed centrally for a tourism base, easy access to public transit network. Very comfortable room with all amenities catered for. Breakfast was exceptionally good and included in the price.

The hotel is everything you need, situated in the city centre and within walking distance of many of the attractions and a metro station right next to the hotel. The hotel is lovely, good clean rooms, very helpful staff, and a good restaurant. A great breakfast is available with plenty to choose from including fried eggs and bacon on request at no extra charge.

Good: Отель очень старый, но при этом чистый и уютный. Персонал предельно вежливый и доброжелательный. Уборка хорошая. Кровати удобные. Номер большой, чувствуешь в нем себя комфортно. В целом отличный отель, в самом центе города. Bad: Красивый ресторан, но завтраки примитивные. Что в прочем, не испортило общего впечатления.

Ein bisschen Lack ist ab vom Astoria-Hotel und man könnte sich sicherlich hier und da etwas Make Up vorstellen. Aber es ist trotzdem alles in Ordnung, sauber, die Leute sind höflich (mit dem obligaten kuk Charme). Ich hatte dieses Hotel ausgesucht, weil ich 1965 schon einmal als Jugendlicher dort war - da war ich 15 - und diese Reise mir in guter Erinnerung geblieben ist. Das Hotel war in meiner Erinnerung allerdings größer und prächtiger. Aber so täuscht man sich eben. Ich würde da wieder hingehen, denn neben dem Charme und dem Komfort ist es ja auch wunderbar gelegen. Das Restaurant ist gut und gar nicht so teuer, das Frühstück auf sehr gutem Standard-Niveau und - wie gesagt - die Menschen dort strahlen noch etwas von dem Charme aus, den man aus alten Tagen kennt.

I would stay here again. The staff were welcoming and helpful, the room comfortable, with a touch of classical luxury, the shower was hot and powerful,breakfast was great. We asked for a kettle and one was provided instantly. The hotel is literally at a metro stop and also the city tour buses stop outside. The Jewish district is right next to the hotel too where you can find cheaper restaurants and the retro ruinbars. It only took ten minutes to walk to the river at a leisurely pace..

Very nice comfortable hotel in a very central position.

Lovely hotel, food good and staff generally friendly and helpful. Only drawback was the musicians who played every evening in the restaurant. They played well but made us and other customers very uncomfortable, invading our space and continuing to play until they received payment. Unfortunately we did decide to eat out on two occasions to avoid them The restaurant was otherwise excellent.

Good: Great comfortable location for exploring the city but we did have a room upgrade so sure this helped with our impression of the hotel.

Good: This Hotel is Old School... It's steeped with History and preserved beautifully... The staff are charming, attentive, relaxed and nothing is too much trouble... and it's not false, they are genuinely lovely people. The room was so comfortable, and the plumbing works!! hot water all times of the day and night and pressure to fill a bath in no time. Breakfast is a feast. Self-service and takes a bit of navigation because of the vast array on offer. However, ask the staff. They're all linguists and can guide you in English and other languages too. The bar and restaurant are great for lunch and dinner too! Bad: We should have booked for more than three nights!!

Good: Брали на новогоднюю ночь, причем, 31 декабря и по очень адекватной стоимости. Хотели выспаться, отель в центре и хороший завтрак. Все это получили. Просили тихий номер - получили с окнами на маленькую улочку - действительно, было тихо. Комнату от коридора отделяет прихожая - поэтому коридорные шумы также не были слышны. Номер очень просторный и функциональный, кровать большая, удобная, все чистое. Косметические принадлежности, фен. Месторасположение лучше не придумаешь - самый центр, пара минут до ул.Ваци, два выхода станции метро Астория выходят ко входу в отель. Завтрак - хороший и разнообразный. Вобщем, неплохой сетевой отель в историческом здании, в самом центре и с возможностью хорошо выспаться Bad: Отель уже староват, но дух старины добавляет романтики)

Good: A localização do hotel é excelente para quem gosta de usar o transporte público, pois há uma estação de trem com o nome do hotel logo na porta do mesmo. A equipe é atenciosa (menção a Istvan, um dos garçons do restaurante - senhor muito amigável, de papo fácil e divertido). Os quartos são limpos e confortáveis. Recomendado.

Good: Excellent beds and Wi-Fi, quiet room (we had a room facing the side street). Very good location in the centre of Pest. Lovely old-world atmosphere. We did not try the breakfast. Bad: The parking facility is a little far (200 m at least) and complicated to use. But that cannot be helped in this location. Also, we would have loved tea/coffee making facilities in the room.

Sentralt beliggende hotell, med metro-stopp like utenfor døra, i gammeldags stil. Romslig og rent rom, og god og variert frokost. Et tips angående reisen fra og til flyplassen er at den offentlige transporten fungerer fint og er godt merket, så selv om man må bytte mellom buss og metro en gang, var ikke dette noe problem. Beskjeder over høyttaleranlegget gis også på engelsk. Billetter kjøpes på forhånd fra billettluka på flyplassen ("BKK"), du trenger to billetter per pers for å komme deg til sentrum.

Good: The room was very comfortable and large. The bathroom very upto date and the shower excellent. The buffet breakfast was excellent. Staff were very helpful. The restaurant is also very good. Bad: Very hot, but windows opened so the room could be cooled.

Good: good selection and choice for buffet hot/cold breakfast. If you wish you can order fresh cooked omelette fried egg and freshly prepared coffee which was really great. Service for this was usually very quick and efficient unless it was a particularly busy time which was understandable. No tea/coffee making facilities in room but this was provided when we asked at reception which was really good to have

Good: Super Central gelegen! Ein sehr schönes altes, stilvolles Hotel! Sehr nettes und zuvorkommendes Personal. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Individuelle Wünsche, wie nach mehr Kopfkissen, wurden schnell erfüllt. Bad: Kleinigkeiten, wie nicht vorhandener GIN an einer Bar im 4* Hotel oder defekte Lampen sollten nicht vorkommen. Aber es waren eben nur Kleinigkeiten.

Good: Vi hade bokat ett "dubbelrum de lux" till det facila priset av c:a 800 kr per natt inklusive frukost för två. Vi fick ett jättestort och väl möblerat rum som var störningsfritt. Miljön på hotellet är elegant på ett "gammaldags" sätt. Vi stortrivdes. Bad: Vi kan inte komma på något vi inte tyckte om.

The bed was two singles together with single bedding and not a preferred double.

Good: Grand hotel in centrial location may be a little worn but is very clean and the sepurb decor makes you feel like it's 1920. Excellent staff and breakfast buffet. The decor extends to the beautiful dining room which offers good Hungarian food at a fair price while being entertained by a gypsy band. Bad: Hotel must be close to a hospital because of the frequent sirens heard on the street.

Good: Es un Hotel elegante, confortable, bien situado y con personal muy atento. Recomendable.

Good: Das Zimmer war groß und gemütlich eingerichtet. Das Personal freundlich und überaus hilfsbereit. Sehr zentrale Lage (die Metro-Station ist 10 m vom Hotel entfernt). Mehrere Sehenswürdigkeiten sind auch zu Fuß zu erreichen. Beim nächsten Mal würde ich das Hotel wieder buchen.

Flott ærverdig hotell som ligger like ved Astoria metrostasjon. Her er også stop for hop on hop off bussene like ved. Vi bestilte standard rom som var OK. Rommet var rent og helt greit. Ikke synlig slitasje. Vi velger nok superior rom neste gang, kostet bare litt ekstra og rommene virket større og freshere. Frokosten var verdt pengene. Kjøper man frokost på hotellet koster den 12 euro pr person pr døgn, om man kjøper for hele oppholdet (20% rabatt). Vi anbefaler hotellet!
