Good: La habitación Bad: el cafe del desayuno. Location Tip: Optima. Metro, bus y tramvias para los principales puntos turisticos delante del mismo hotel. Muy bien ubicado, a lado de todo tipo de transporte y a un paso del centro. Muy comodo y ambiente correspondiente a la imagen ofrecida. Todo funciona bien, y genial el audio en el baño.

This is an excellent hotel if you value an old-fashioned hotel experience, with elegantly dressed men at the front desk, marble and damask, tea room and the like. The location is well located in the City Center of Pest near a major subway stop. The rate was very reasonable, and the front desk will exchange currency (not the best rate going, but at least it's convenient). The rooms are recently remodeled and fairly large -- with air conditioning.

Budapest was great, I stayed at the Astoria hotel right in the middle of the city, I walked for hours around 6 miles and as you can see a ton of pictures. So much history, so much culture, the Astoria has a very good staff, they are multi lingual

Very central location not far from the river Danube. Beautiful old world style and historic hotel with comfy rooms - we had a deluxe double with balcony. Hotel is situated right by metro and trams so good transport links too!

We went for my brothers stag do so didnt spend that much time in the actual hotel. The staff were helpful and it is well located with a short walk to the river and the Vinci Utca as well as the nearby bars and cafes.

Das Beste an diesem Hotel ist ohne Zweifel die zentrale Lage. Ansonsten gab es aber auch keine Beschwerden. Die Zimmer und der Service waren gut. Unser Zimmer ging zur Seitenstraße raus, weswegen es stets ruhig war. Wir hatten kein Frühstück und haben das Restaurant nicht benutzt, weswegen dieser Service nicht bewertet werden kann.

Wir fanden es sehr gut, dass in diesem alten schmucken Hotel das ältere Garde von Personal beibehalten worden. Das Lobby und das Kafeesaal sind wunderschön mit den Stillvollen Einrichtungen.

We would recomment the hotel to anyone as extremely good value for money and a lovely place to stay.

We adored everything about the Astoria in Budapest. We did not quite know what to expect, as sometimes what you see on-line and what you actually get are two different things. Not here! Everything was wonderful: the location, the hotel staff, plus a very nice restaurant downstairs. Highly recommend to anyone who is going to Budapest! Time-saving tip: Short walk from hotel Get to know the city with a Hop on, Hop Off bus tour, then go back by foot or Metro to see what interests you. The Metro station is right outside the Hotel Danubius Astoria. You do not even cross the street, the steps are a few steps out the front door. Very convenient!

Good: Das Frühstücksbuffet war außerordentlich umfangreich. Bad: Das Schlafen bei offenem Fenster ist aufgrund des Starken Verkehrs kaum möglich. Location Tip: Sehr zentral, an einer Metrostation, verkehrsreich netter Empfang, mit Kofferservice, sehr zuvor kommend, stets freundlich, egal welcher Bedienstete einem begegnete. Zentrale Lage, Frühstüsk in einem renomierten Café.

Good: 当ホテルは、アストリア駅の前にあります。地下鉄、トラム、バスすべて目の前なので、一日乗車券を買えばどこへでもすぐに移動できます。 又、くさり橋なども歩いていける距離にありますからとても便利でした。 隣にマクドナルド、100m先にレートの良い両替所もあります。(ホテルの方に教えてもらいました) ホテルの建物やレセプションはアンティークな感じで良かったです。 何よりもスタッフがとても親切で、色々質問したりお願いしましたが笑顔で対応していただきました。 また行ったら利用したいホテルです。

Vi är jättenöjda, trevlig och hjälpsam personal, rena rymliga rum. Dock tyckte vi att det som ingick i den frukosten som man fick "på köpet" var lite fattig med bara en croissant och kaffe men å andra sidan fanns det ett fik på andra sidan gatan där man kunde få latte och ciabattamacka för en billig peng så det löste sig ändå. Aircondition fanns men var inte så kraftig. Vi hade 40-45 grader och dallrande hetta när vi var där och hade önskat lite mer drag och kyla från ac'n, men på det hela är vi jättenöjda med hotellet och vår vistelse i Budapest och kan starkt rekommendera detta hotell till andra.

Ein ganz wunderbares Hotel für einen Städteurlaub in Budapest. Ein Haus mit viel traditionellem Flair und sehr freundlichem Personal. Einziger Wermutstropfen - die sehr stark befahrene Hauptstr. gleich vor der Türe. Trotzdem würde ich jederzeit wieder hier buchen.

Staying at the Astoria was a pleasure. Friendly staff, food, entertainment, comfort, location and price all add up to perfection. It made our stay in Budapest most enjoyable, would definitely recommend to a friend!

We stayed at the Danubis Astoria for a stag weekend and the hotel was certainly grander than we expected for the money... The lobby was very nice and the free Wi-fi certainly a bonus... The staff were mainly very good althoughhaving no idea on what to tip and then having been asked for 4000HUF for the guys moving the bags at the start of the trip I can now look back and see this as excessive... So do be carefull what to pay in tips The hotel is easy walking distance to the bar area but far enough away that it doesnt disturb your sleep... and they didnt complain about us coming back drunk at 5am two nights running.... although I did like the look of horror on the barmans face when faced with a bloke in a mankini... Prob not the place where you will be able to be outrageous.... The jazz band in the dining room certainly added to the feel of elegance....and overall a very good stay

Location Tip: The hotel is right next to the metro station so it was easy to access the transport network. And the location is in the heart of the city . More than satisfied-our room was nice and quiet and very tasteful-my wife said it was refined. Staff great-helped with bookings for taxis and theatre tickets and explained how to use the Budapest Card .

Fantastisk service!!! Helt imponert. Litt dyr hotellfrokost, så vi valgte dette bort. Var så billig ellers i byen at man lett kan tillate seg å spise ute, selv studenter. God, sentral beliggenhet, med en noe trafikert gate utenfor, men den var ikke sjenerende når man kom litt opp i etasjene.

We enjoyed our stay very much. The only negative was the alternate breakfast for those who did not want buffet. Limited person to one small croissant and one coffee.

I have absolutely no criticism of the Danubius Hotel Astoria. The hotel is very clean and aesthetically pleasant, the staff is kind and courteous as well as well-versed in English (great asset for any tourist). In addition, the downstairs restaurant - Mirror Restaurant - has an outstanding food and wine selection with appropriate pricing and romantic atmosphere. The location itself is very fine as well, a five to ten minute walk to the Danube River with spectacular bridge views. For anyone wanting to travel to Budapest, the only piece of advice to offer (probably self-evident) is to visit during Spring to late Autumn seasons. I came in February and froze half my face just walking along the river edge.

Astoria är ett vackert hotell med fasad i secessionstil och interiör i nybarock. Erdös Gábor är Front office manager, han gav oss en fantastisk service, långt över förväntningarna. Bl.a trollade han fram Operabiljetter med perfekta platser. Hotellet andas en svunnen tidsepok och har klass och stil. Det är personligt, lagom stort och smakfullt inrett. Här känner du dig hemma och jag hade kunnat stanna länge. Matsalen och café delen är förtjusande och de serverar god mat. Astorias läge är perfekt, en meter till tunnelbanan och spårvagnar. Dett är mycket bekvämt när du skall på upptäcksfärd. Jag kommer helt säkert tillbaka och kommer alltid att bo på Astoria när jag besöker Budapest.

Hotellet ligger centralt och sevicen är god. Det enda jag har att klaga på att är det inte finns fri WiFi.

Das Hotel ist ein traditionsreiches Haus, alleine der Frühstückssaal ist einen Aufenthalt wert. Der Service ist ausgesprochen freundlich, die Zimmer schön und das Frühstücksbuffet läßt keine Wünsche offen. Mein Lieblinshotel in Budapest, ich komme bestimmt wieder!

River cruise using hop on hop off boat great value Trams no 2 and 19 vice you good views of Budapest from either bank of the Danube Room 308 was spacious and comfortable with an interesting view of the junction, though keep the windows shut. Excellent breakfast and good evening menu. Food was exceptional. Try the goulash soup, the pike and the lamb. Great flavours and perfect with the merlot. Less than £20 per head for 3 courses with wine. Good service included. Ideal situation for public transport. Metro and trams outside the door. 1 stop from Deak ter- the centre for tourists with access to all tours and most transport. Budapest card good value for this location. Staff very friendly and good English speakers. Internet can be purchased from the room but sit in the lobby near the wall and get McDonald's wifi free. Would not hesitate to go back here again. Art Deco atmosphere with modern facilities. A very good hotel. if we visit Budapest again, we will go back without hesitation.
