Strawberry-mascarpone crêpes – Hungarian recipes

Most people eat crêpes with jam, cocoa, or sweetened cheese curd, but have you ever tried them with mascarpone? Fresh fruit and a delicious creamy filling transforms these crêpes into a dish fit for a king… A dessert of Royal proportions! 

Ingredients:

  • Crêpes
  • Mascarpone
  • Mint
  • Brown sugar
  • Vanilla
  • Lime juice and grated lime peel
  • Orange peel
  • Strawberries

 

For the filling, mix the mascarpone with the vanilla, fresh mint, brown sugar, grated lime and orange peels, and lime juice. Spread filling over each crêpe and fold into a triangle. Serve with caramel sauce and strawberries.

Tip: Basic crêpes recipe:  beat 2 eggs, 35 dkg flour, a pinch of salt, 1-2 tablespoons of sugar, ½ litre of milk, and 2 dl carbonated mineral water until smooth. Allow to stand a few minutes, then fry in a lightly oiled, hot crêpe pan on both sides until golden brown.
