What to do in October 2016 in London

Autumn was a bit shy at the beginning but now it’s behaving as usual. Get your coats ready because we might need them tomorrow ! Whatever the weather, there are always plenty of things to do in London, and even more in October. Here are some suggestions.

 

New Coffee Shop opening in St. Johns Wood.

Good news for coffee lovers: we will have a new Coffee Shop in the neighborhood! The Ivy Café is opening on 19th October.

Less than a ten minute walk from Danubius Hotel Regents Park, located on 120 St. John’s Wood High Street, this Café, part of the Ivy Collection, will offer all-day dining 7 days a week.You will be delighted with plenty of options starting from breakfast and finishing with cocktails.

Cronut

In 2013 New Yorker pastry chef Dominique Ansel invented the Cronut, a mix between a French croissant and a Donut. Believe it or not, Time magazine named it as one of the “Best Inventions of 2013”.0710b

If you have a sweet mouth, now you have the opportunity to try the original cronut! Dominique Ansel opens his first bakery in London (see more info here).

Run for Osteoporosis

After having that many sweets we would suggest doing some exercise.

Hyde Park is the place where the Run will take place on October 22nd. Organized by PB Race Events (find more info here), there will be two distances: 5k and 10k. A donation from each entry will go to The National Osteoporosis Society.

15 minutes bus drive from our Hotel. The closest tube stations are Marble Arch or Lancaster Gate. Feel free to ask our Concierge Team for directions.
