What to do in London in June 2016

London summer 2016 june

Summer is on its way, the sun is there and the temperature is nicely going up – London starts to get very busy and the list of events happening in the Capital this month is endless.

If you are traveling to London, for Leisure or Business, we thought you might like to have a short list of what you must see while you are here.

First of all, no one can avoid the Royal Celebrations for the Queen’s 90th Birthday.

trooping the colour

Her official birthday is on the 11th of June and will be celebrated with the Trooping of the Colour. She will inspect the soldiers from her personal troops including 1400 officers and men on parade, 200 horses and 400 musicians. Travelling to and from Buckingham Palace in a carriage, she will then appear on the balcony of the Palace with the members of the Royal Family to watch a flypast of the Royal Air Force at 1.00pm.

Lords Cricket Ground

Second most important event in June (according to us of course) is the launch of the Cricket Season! The first Test Match England vs Sri Lanka started on Thursday 9th and we have installed a Marquee on the North entrance side of the Hotel. Come and join us to watch the game, have a drink or burgers cook by our Chef.

euro

As we are quite into sports here at the Danubius Hotel Regents Park, we will be displaying all the Games for the EURO 2016! Kick off Today with France -Romania. There will be a big screen in the Pavilion Lounge Bar but also in our biggest conference room Denis Compton (bar available in the room so you won’t miss a second of it!)

Are you going to attend some of this events? Share it with us on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram!
