A couple of weeks ago, we were honoured to welcome a very special guest into the Danubius Hotel Regents Park.
Kenneth Mayhew, or should we say Major Kenneth George Mayhew, is a British Army veteran of WWII. But what is even more impressive is that he is one of the few knights of the Military William Order to be still alive. Now, for those who don’t know what we are talking about, the Military William Order is the highest honour of the Kingdom of the Netherlands.
Our General Manager Steven Van Herwijnen had the great pleasure to meet Major Mayhew when he stayed with us to enjoy the Cricket Test Match at Lord’s Cricket Ground just across the street from us.
It is not every day that we get the chance to meet a British Army Veteran of WWII and we would like to thank Major Mayhew for his kindness and for letting us share this story with our readers.
