After six billion forints’ worth of renovation works, the Danubius Hotels regeneration project continues

The Danubius Hotels Group continues its renovation projects at three Budapest hotels and two hotels in Balatonfüred. The total cost of the renovation work is more than six billion forints and completion is expected by the spring of 2018.

At the Hilton Budapest, the Presidential Suite is even more impressive and the restaurant has been renovated

This year, the Hilton Budapest enters its fourth phase of regeneration, during which time, the 93 rooms in the south wing will have a new interior design to match those rooms already renovated. The 160-square-metre Presidential Suite – comprising a spacious lounge, bedroom, complete kitchen and dining room – has a bathroom with a panoramic view, a walk-in rain shower and beneath the giant window is a free-standing bath tub blessed with a superb view. On the Historic Lounge’s floor, the Anjou Room, with its view of the Fishermen’s Bastion, is being restored. It is a favourite venue for weddings and gala dinners. The smaller Visegrád room and the double, linking Mátyás and Beatrix rooms are also undergoing renovation. On the sixth floor, the equally panoramic Erzsébet, Margit and Parliament rooms are also undergoing a transformation. The Tower Room in the historic monument tower will keep its gorgeous stained glass windows, giving the ambience of a medieval chapel. According to the architects’ plans, the new interior of the ICON Restaurant will exude a classic, modern style with an open kitchen, complemented by a new buffet counter.

Updated room categories, a conference centre and a café open to all at the Radisson Blu Béke Hotel

Located on Budapest’s bustling Teréz körút, the Radisson Blu Béke Hotel completed the renovation work on the split-level guest rooms and the suites, and now offers three new room categories: 55 executive rooms, five junior and two executive suites. In November 2017, work began again on the total renovation of 40 room units. The entire lobby has been given a complete makeover. On the ground floor, in the area of the six, present-day event halls, a brand new 450-square-metre conference centre has been established in a style to match the new image of the hall, with manoeuvrable, removable walls. Soon, visitors will have a direct entrance from the ‘Nagykörút’ [‘Big Ring Road’] street outside into the Zsolnay Café. All the designs and the construction take into account the artistic heritage of the 105-year-old building.

A lounge-style lobby and a bistro restaurant at the Danubius Hotel Helia

After modernising the multi-storey conference rooms at the Danubius Hotel Helia, the ground floor now has the chance to regenerate, and an elegant lobby greets guests with its relaxed lounge ambience. The present restaurant menu will take on a modern bistro feel, to win over the tastes and expectations of all the regular customers at the swimming pool as well as curious diners, and those seeking exciting new flavours. A Spanish interior design company has dreamed up the new image for both the Radisson Blu Béke Hotel and the Danubius Hotel Helia.
