Very satisfied from my stay with you.

Good: Das Ambiente war sehr schön, der Service ausgesprochen freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist super! Bad: Da das Hotel schon älter ist, könnten Kleinigkeiten ausgebessert werden.

Good: I have to admit I liked everything about the hotel. The room was perfect (especially liked how it was decorated), the bed was comfortable, and even though it was located in the busy area, having the soundproof windows, it was completely quiet in our room. The heating in the room was also perfect. It was nice to return to a warm room after the whole day of walking around in the rain. The location of the hotel is very convenient. The hotel is located just above the metro station. I would definitely stay at this hotel again. Really enjoyed my stay! :o) Bad: There wasn't anything I didn't like about our stay in this hotel.

Good: This hotel is lovely. It is in a 1930s-40s theme. Our room was large and comfortable. We had dinner in the Restaurant, which is also in the 1930s-40s theme. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. There was even a trio providing music while you dined.

We adored everything about the Astoria in Budapest. We did not quite know what to expect, as sometimes what you see on-line and what you actually get are two different things. Not here! Everything was wonderful: the location, the hotel staff, plus a very nice restaurant downstairs. Highly recommend to anyone who is going to Budapest! Time-saving tip: Short walk from hotel Get to know the city with a Hop on, Hop Off bus tour, then go back by foot or Metro to see what interests you. The Metro station is right outside the Hotel Danubius Astoria. You do not even cross the street, the steps are a few steps out the front door. Very convenient!

The staff are very professional and there is a dignified, traditional atmosphere to the hotel, which includes most modern facility. We did not bring a laptop so I don't know what the wifi arrangements are, however there are plenty of places around with internet access. We also dined in the restaurant and had a superb meal. Budapest is a lovely city and we shall certainly revisit and stay at this hotel. If you are new to Budapest we would also recommend that you consider taking the airport minibus to directly to your hotel. This was affordable and was very convenient both on the arrival and departure to the airport.

Good: Das Frühstücksbuffet war außerordentlich umfangreich. Bad: Das Schlafen bei offenem Fenster ist aufgrund des Starken Verkehrs kaum möglich. Location Tip: Sehr zentral, an einer Metrostation, verkehrsreich netter Empfang, mit Kofferservice, sehr zuvor kommend, stets freundlich, egal welcher Bedienstete einem begegnete. Zentrale Lage, Frühstüsk in einem renomierten Café.

Good: Cosy classic style building initially built as hotel, not quick'n'dirty redesign of soviet era office property. Carpeting is everywhere. Quiet, comfy, clean. Most of guests are travelling mature retired pairs. Location of Astoria Hotel is very suitable for exploring Budapest by walking and/or by using public transport. You'll never get a chance to get lost because Astoria is marked on all city maps I've seen since it has "it's own" metro station with entry right at front of hotel doors. Bad: While free in-room WiFi is common practice among most of Budapest hotels, one have to pay for it in Danubius Astoria. But If you happen to get a room at east side (Muzeum korut/Karoly korut) you'll probably be able to use McDonalds' free hotspot.

Good: The room was perfect, with a nice balcony. The king size bed was very comfortable and the bathroom very clean. Bad: The breakfast was expensive : 15 euros, it was correct but not fantastic.

Very quiet room at the back of the hotel. Easy to walk to the Danube. Metro makes it easy to travel to the station and to further parts of the city. Excellent restaurant.

Good: Ideale ligging voor het verkennen van de stad. Klantvriendelijk en behulpzaam receptie personeel. Als groep hadden we geen ontbijt genomen maar er was wel de mogelijkheid om 's morgens gratis koffie/thee plus croissants te nuttigen. Bad: Het personeel (obers) aan de bars. Vond ze niet erg klantvriendelijk, er kon geen lach van af.

Good: 当ホテルは、アストリア駅の前にあります。地下鉄、トラム、バスすべて目の前なので、一日乗車券を買えばどこへでもすぐに移動できます。 又、くさり橋なども歩いていける距離にありますからとても便利でした。 隣にマクドナルド、100m先にレートの良い両替所もあります。(ホテルの方に教えてもらいました) ホテルの建物やレセプションはアンティークな感じで良かったです。 何よりもスタッフがとても親切で、色々質問したりお願いしましたが笑顔で対応していただきました。 また行ったら利用したいホテルです。

Good: Perfect price-location. Easily accessible from airport (bus & 1 metro change). Everything is easily reachable, once you are in the city. Bad: Nothing. It was a regular 3-4 star hotel, good service, good price, perfect location close to everything.

The hotel is very well situated; it's nice and has an excellent service. Breakfast is overpriced but we opted for the continental breakfast that was included and then had a good lunch later.

it's a great hotel with excellent facilities. It's in the city centre and has comfortable and clean rooms. The restaurant in the hotel was fine.

I was very happy with my stay at your hotel. The rooms were very large and comfortable. The staff was very helpful and accomodating. The location allowed access to all parts of the city easily. Good value for the price charged. The only thing that I can comment on is having WiFi int he room would be more convenient. But the WiFi provided in the lobby worked very well and was fast and easy to access.

Good: An ideal location in Pest, modern facilities in an historic building, and just the most helpful and pleasant desk staff one could hope for. For guests who opt not to buy the breakfast buffet, the hotel provides coffee, tea and croissant in the dining room. Truly a delightful experience that added greatly to our enjoyment of Budapest.

Good: it was extremely central- we could walk most places and the metro was also right on the doorstep. It is an old traditional hotel with a lovely lobby and cafe, it has kept it's Hungarian traditional appeal but with all the conveniences of a modern hotel. The staff were also very helpful.

Good: Le camere ampie e comode nonchè ottima ubicazione. La metro è nei pressi dell'ingresso. Location Tip: Budapest è una città molto carina. Merita di essere visitata. Ubicazione e posizione ottima, a poca distanza dal ponte Elisabetta. La camera, per una famiglia è stata molto confortevole, oltre al bagno principale insiste anche un doppio servizio dotato solo di water e lavandino, molto comodo per eventuali necessità. Uno degli addetti alla reception parlava italiano per cui molto utile per qualsiasi esigenza, anche per alcune prenotazioni per visite alla città organizzate da altri tour. La cucina del ristorante è stata buona.

Good: The hotel is very comfortable and airy. The air conditioning was a God send in the heatwave. The hotel is located on a crossroads very close to all the major attarctions and right next door to a metro station. The staff were very helpful and knowledgeable. Bad: We did not avail ourselves of the hotel breakfast. At 15 euro's per person, we thought this far too expensive.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this lovely hotel. Large, airy room with all the conveniences. We could walk almost anywhere we wanted in Budapest from here. Would definitely stay here again!

Good: Posizione, disponibilita' dello staff, pulizia.

Vi är jättenöjda, trevlig och hjälpsam personal, rena rymliga rum. Dock tyckte vi att det som ingick i den frukosten som man fick "på köpet" var lite fattig med bara en croissant och kaffe men å andra sidan fanns det ett fik på andra sidan gatan där man kunde få latte och ciabattamacka för en billig peng så det löste sig ändå. Aircondition fanns men var inte så kraftig. Vi hade 40-45 grader och dallrande hetta när vi var där och hade önskat lite mer drag och kyla från ac'n, men på det hela är vi jättenöjda med hotellet och vår vistelse i Budapest och kan starkt rekommendera detta hotell till andra.

Väldigt prisvärt och centralt beläget hotell med stora rum och bekväma sängar. Vi fick checka in flera timmar tidigare utan problem och personalen var hjälpsam och trevlig. Vårt rum hade fönster mot en gränd så vi slapp den trafikerade gatan utanför och det var skönt att kunna öppna fönstrena (40 grader ute och ACn orkade knappt med). Bra städning, lite småsliten toalett men sett till helheten inget att anmärka på.

Good: La struttura è romantica e piacevolmente datata all'inizio del novecento con arredi negli spazi comuni eccezionalmente ben consevati. L'accesso ai trasporti pubblici, metropolitana e tram in poarticolare, è a pochi metri dall'albergo. La camera è ben arredata, spaziosa, insonorizzata e climatizzata. Bad: Come al solito manca il bidet (ma come fanno all'estero, una doccia ogni volta?). Il parcheggio è scomodo e lontano, non c'è maniera di fermarsi a scaricare le valigie. In più è caro (un giorno costa come un pasto in ristorante) e essendo robotizzato ogni volta che vuoi accedere all'auto devi far timbrare un cartellino in albergo. Budapest è deludente.

Pros: Only 10 minute walk to Danube river and the metro is ten steps from the front door. Cons: Restaurant is a little expensive.but very tasty and well presented food. Der Aufenthalt war sehr angenehm, sehr freundliches Personal welches mehrere Sprachen spricht, rascher Check-In bzw. Check-Out, bei Rückfragen sehr bemüht. Ich werde dieses Hotel als "Stammhotel" für meine Aufenthalte in Budapest wählen. Sehr zu empfehlen !!!

It was a pleasant stay

We stayed 4 nights at the hotel, and we were very pleased with our stay. Since we got a very good price we booked a de Luxe Room which was located in a quiet area of the building facing a side street so there was no disturbing traffic sound. The room was large and bright and came with a refrigerator. We didn't have breakfast included in the price but brought our own kettle to make coffee and tea in the morning and evening. No more than 10 m from the entrance you descend to the metro, the red line. If you want to use your own computer/Ipad they provide the login details so it is free.

Good: Bra frokost. Personalet var hyggelige og hjelpsomme. Selvom hotellet ligger rett ved en av de største veiene inn til byen, var det meget godt støyisolerte rom.

Hotel muy bien conservado y con un aire de tranquilidad excelente. Falla la disponibilidad de wi-fi, pero en general es normal en Hungria. Recomendable

Good: Ottima posizione adiacente all'entrata della metro. Staff cortese e professionale. L'Hotel è un vero 4*S. Bad: All'arrivo per problemi tecnici mai venuti fuori,volevano a tutti I costi spostarci in un altra struttura nel cuore di Buda , cosa per noi improponibile, con un pò di insistenza siamo riusciti ad avere la camera prenotata. I turisti nella strada sottostante sono un pò rumorosi, ma basta chiudere le finestre.

Good: è sopra la fermata della metro, è vicinissimo al centro (la metro chiude alle 23.30 quindi la sera tornavamo a piedi percorrendo zone tranquille, non pericolose e molto trafficate). Lo staff parla bene l'inglese. Bad: Purtroppo la colazione non è inclusa, costa 14 euro a testa al giorno.

Schönes stillvolles Hotel, die Zimmer sind renoviert und das Angebot im Restaurant ist abwechslungsreich. Gute Lage aber ein bisschen laut für mich. Die Mitarbeiter waren sehr hilfsbereit.

Good: Most of all location. Across street from a metro stop. Walking distance to many sights. Hotel elegantly styled with comfortable rooms. Staff were excellent and most English speaking. Bad: Although our room overlooked the city street with a nice view, it was a bit noisy due to vehicle activity late at night and loud pedestrians after bedtime.

Good: Senz'altro un albergo elegante in pieno centro della città di Pest. Camere dotate di ogni confort e molto pulite. Bagni ampi e confortevoli. Ben collegato con tutti i mezzi anche se la maggior parte delle destinazioni del centro erano facilmente raggiungibili a piedi. Bad: Difficile trovare qualche cosa di negativo in un albergo di lusso ad un prezzo ragionevole. L'unica cosa che- personalmente- ho trovato strana che il primo giorno alla reception hanno passato la mia carta di credito il primo giorno come garanzia per eventuali servizi extra (frigo bar, canali tv bloccati, etc...) utilizzati durante il soggiorno. Quando i documenti di identità lasciati il primo giorno per le procedure di chek in potevano essere già sufficienti.

Ein ganz wunderbares Hotel für einen Städteurlaub in Budapest. Ein Haus mit viel traditionellem Flair und sehr freundlichem Personal. Einziger Wermutstropfen - die sehr stark befahrene Hauptstr. gleich vor der Türe. Trotzdem würde ich jederzeit wieder hier buchen.

Vi var yderst tilfredse, spændende gammelt hotel med atmosfære. Kommer meget gerne igen.

Good: The staff were extremely helpful with any enquiry, all speaking good English, and were always friendly and welcoming. The location was also excellent as the hotel is within walking distance of all of the city centre sights in Budapest. Bad: The room was a little dated in its decor, but it added to the character of the hotel. Also, as it is city centre, there was no view from the room. Nonetheless I would highly recommend the hotel and the special offer price via booking.com gave us extremely good value for money.
