Good: Our stay at Hotel Astoria in Budapest was absolutely perfect from start to finish. The location couldn’t have been better—right in the heart of the city on the Pest side, making it so easy to explore everything Budapest has to offer. The staff were truly lovely—welcoming, friendly, and always happy to help with anything we needed. They made us feel right at home throughout our stay. The hotel itself was beautiful, comfortable, and full of charm. Everything about our experience exceeded expectations, and we wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again. A wonderful hotel in a fantastic location with exceptional staff—highly recommended!

Good: Clean and everything is convenient. Bad: Only there was a bad odor in the restaurant.

Good: Exeptional location! Right in the middle of everything! About 100 meters from airport bus stop nr 100E, plenty of small streeats around with trendy restorants which could satisfy taste. Exellent breakfastroom and very rich choise for breakfast. Bad: Some members of our group mentioned that the busy street was a bit noisy even during night time. As for me, nothing could disturb my sleep.

Good: The location just perfect close to everything and also all types of transportation available just a foot outside the hotel. The rooms were surprisingly quiet and comfortable, well cleaned.

Good: Location was great and nice breakfast 😋 Bad: I was asked if I wanted to upgrade my room I say yes but the upgrade doesn't worth the money. The room was already on the expensive side for 3 days but when I upgraded we end up with a smaller room, yes more modern but very tiny no extra. For 100$ Canadians it's not worth it. I should have stay with my first choice.

Good: We loved Hotel Astoria!It's location was perfect very centralil in Pest side of city.The bus from the airport 🛫 stopped right outside the hotel! Our room was in the newly renovated area of the hotel and was very modern, which suited our taste. Other rooms in the hotel are historically designed with older decor. The bar restaurant and breakfast area is very beautiful with a lot of history in design. Reception staff, i.e., Kitty and Adrian, were very welcoming and helpful when booking our trips. The breakfast selection was excellent . Bad: Only one negative point was the bad smell when entering the hotel and in the public toilets 🚻 downstairs from the bar and breakfast area.

Very central for everything. Room was great (solo traveller) and cleaned daily. ALL of the Staff Iet very super helpful.

Good: A hotel with a lot of character, a throwback to the last days of the Empire, at a very good price in an excellent central location. Large room with high ceiling and small balcony to the outside. Breakfast was not the best but still quite good. Bad: Some parts of the Hotel have clearly been updated. Common area carpeting and new solid doors but it still requires some more TLC. In particular the entrance does not do it justice. Outside is dirty and the whole facade with the period entrance and in particular the shop fronts look like they have not been updated or cleaned since it was built just after the titanic sank.

It was truly my honor to choose your hotel for this stay. The facilities are excellent, and the staff are even more outstanding — always helpful and ready to answer any questions. I was especially touched when I twisted my ankle and was worried about missing my connecting flight because I needed to contact the airline to arrange wheelchair assistance. I felt quite helpless at that moment. The front desk staff member, Adrian, showed incredible patience and kindness. He searched across different websites to find the correct contact number and spent a great deal of time helping me resolve the issue. I was deeply moved by his support. Thank you, Adrian, for your exceptional help and care.

There’s a wide variety, but the quality of the products isn't very impressive. We were a bit disappointed. The room was quite noisy. We could hear people shouting outside in the middle of the night.

Good: Location was top class, could not have been more central if we tried! Right beside the tube station and bus stop so it’s so easy to get around the city and to/from airport! Lots of shops and restaurants within walking distance. You’re in the hustle and bustle of the city and it still managed to be quiet at night time with no disruption. Rooms are well furnished and lots of storage. The rooms and facilities are all very modern. Could not recommend danubius more, I’ve convinced a few family and friends to book already 😊 Bad: We had a little run in with the in house jeweller, but other than that all the staff were lovely! 😊

My stay at Danubius Hotel Astoria was absolutely excellent and exceeded all expectations. The hotel offers a perfect city-center location, making it incredibly convenient for exploring Budapest, with major attractions, public transport, restaurants, and cafés all within easy walking distance. The atmosphere combines classic elegance with modern comfort, creating a refined and welcoming environment from the moment of arrival. The room was spacious, comfortable, impeccably clean, and well equipped, providing a relaxing and restful experience after a day in the city. The staff were consistently professional, courteous, and attentive, always ready to assist with a warm and genuine attitude. Overall, the stay was seamless, comfortable, and memorable, offering outstanding service, excellent value, and a truly enjoyable experience in the heart of Budapest.

Good: Great interior, clean and couldnt be more central. Bad: Reception staff could be kinder.

Good: The location of the hotel is optimal, and the breakfast was very varied and nice (€12 if reserved in anticipation which is perfectly fair). The standard rooms are comfortable with historical elegance. The reception is ample and comfortable. Some of the staff is quite nice. Bad: For a hotel of this category, I expected better. One of our rooms lacked accessible electrical sockets, so we had to put the coffee machine on the ground to plug it in. Sometimes the water in the shower ran cold. The blinds in the room did not close so the light came in during the morning. On two days, we came back to the hotel at 4pm to find out the room had not been cleaned yet, and we had to leave the room to allow them to do so, when we wanted to rest. Most importantly for me, some of the staff was incredibly cold and dare I say almost rude, whereas others were more warm and friendly. The treatment of the reception staff changes the entire experience of a guest.

Good: The staff is very friendly and polite. The food is delicious and the antique decoration is beautiful! Bad: The beds are too narrow. The heating doesn’t work well. It takes too long to warm the room.

I totally recomand this hotel, very good location and the rooms are so beautiful and clean. They are pet friendly, we went with a Doberman and it was no problem.

Good: Fab location - easy to walk, catch buses & trains. My room was a single & very cute. Good value.

The room was very clean and with high ceiling, it was always warm, and the temperature of the water was always ideal. The morning shift receptionists were all polite but the night shift receptionists couldnt help us with some important information. But the cleaners were very good at their job! About the location it was in the center of the city, this specific hotel it has every transport next to it, trams, metro, buses, electric scooters even bikes.
