Great location, close to many restaurants and cafes and shops and transport. Not far from city centre. The airport bus has a stop very close by which was great for convenient reasonable priced transport from and to the airport

I enjoyed my stay. The room was clean and comfortable. The cleaning staff was lovely but the men at the front desk were not very friendly at all.

Good: It is centrally located, close to train station and the central market area. Bad: It was a little steep on the pocket.

Good: I loved the little balcony where I could look at the down at the activity on the street and the beautiful buildings in the area. The room was really quaint and I enjoyed it.

Good: Staff were very friendly and helpful, the location was perfect right beside the metro station.The breakfast was exceptional with plenty to choose from, would definitely go back here, thanks to everyone at the hotel for a lovely stay 😁 Bad: Couldn't find anything not to like

Good: Great for city break....clean and comfy rooms. Good transport links for touring. Bad: Ran out of foods at breakfast...such as no bacon left and no breakfast menu just buffet.

Good: Good location. Tasty food for breakfast and a good restaurant at the hotel. Clean room. Bad: Smell of sewage in the hallway. Attempt by the staff to present a regular room as "upgraded for free".

Good: Great location, right next to Astoria Metro station. Five minute walk to Danube, three minute walk to the Jewish Quarter and five minute walk to Ruin bars. Generous size room with a nice bathroom. Breakfast was very good, with a nice, varied continental selection. Very clean rooms and shared areas, and an organized front desk. Bad: Nothing

Good: This 'grande dame' hotel has been beautifully refurbished since my previous visit (many years ago). Very well appointed bedroom, and public areas. Excellent breakfast, and well located for metro and other transport services.

Astoria Danubius was a lovely hotel to stay in. The rooms and corridors were very clean. Bed was big and comfortable. The cafe/bar staff were lovely and helpful, it was a great place to have food or a drink in.

IMHO the absolute best hotel in Budapest. Best location, classic in style, wonderful breakfast, fantastic, friendly, and professional staff. We could not have asked for a better place to stay during our visit to this remarkable city.

Good: Location couldn’t be beaten, room was huge, upgrade was reasonable, breakfast was good. What’s not to like?? Bad: A fan in the room to use - extremely warm at night

Ths is a 111year old hotel. Do not expect modern convenience. However you can upgrade to their new rooms situated at the attached back of the original building. Nice breakfast. Dining area is excellent.

Appreciated the decor and the fact that it is in keeping with the age and history of this building. Location is perfect for walking, metro and restaurants. We would definitely stay again. Bad: We stayed 4 nights and they didn't replenish the coffee and tea sachets.

Good: Location was fantastic and rooms had balconies as requested. Right at Astoria station, easy access to transport or to walk anywhere we wanted to go. Location felt safe. Breakfast was included. Bad: Had to book 2x rooms as couldn't accommodate 5 people in 1 room.

Good: The hotel seems to have a new and an older section, we were staying in the newer section and were guite happy to be in it. the older section rooms look dated, as expected from such a grand old hotel. The newer sections are very nice in my opinion and we were happy to be staying there. Hotel is in a good location with good access to most of the main visitor attractions. Bad: We had one breakfast and one lunch in the hotel restaurant, not impressed either time. Breakfast is a buffet affair so timing may be a factor but the lunch is not, the food was cold when it was brought out, otherwise it should have been ok.

Good: Beautiful hotel. Nice big comfortable room (suite). Great location in the centre of town and able to walk to most places easily. Bad: Breakfast foods on the buffet were usually nearly cold. Toasters took about 5 minutes to toast the bread (not a big issue in itself but when you have queues of people maybe replace the toasters). If you dont like noise, the trams rumble past all day and evening. We are used to them, but just be warned, the building 'feels' the trams as they pass.

Good: The room was fabulous, magic, old school, spacious, luminous, warm, the breakfast was delicious with many choices, the location is central and everything is reachable on walking distance. The staff was friendly and I received all I asked. The hotel and the piano bar Astoria breath with elegance and beauty recalling old historical epochs. I will come back in this hotel! Bad: The water in the bath /shower was changing rapidly from hot to cold, which could be considered as health benefit. I waited a bit longer to check in while other guests could check in immediately as they arrived.

Location was perfect for exploring all the hightlights of the city.Would certainly stay again. Bad: The only minor detail i would change is to have larger cups or to have mugs for my coffee as i like to travel with my own lattes. But this wasnt a huge problem

Good: The location is pretty central to city centre. Inside hotel is very grand and spacious. Bad: The shower kept going cold to hot all the time. Also, nowhere to hang your towel to dry or to sit your clothes on (like a small bench in the bathroom). Plenty if room to upgrade all these things.

Good: I liked everything. Everything was truly magnificent. Stuff were friendly and helpful. They were mindfull and funny. The cleaners were thorough and always replaced towels. Bed was comfortable, sheets were clean, facilities were usefull. Window sound isolation was as good as it could be, but if one is to book this hotel ve aware this hotel in on the road that is often used for emergencies so u can hear ambulance siren frequently but we didn't mind it. If ypu have a late flight or bus booked stuff offers you to leave your luggage in their luggage room for free. Also, everything was close and easy accessible from this location so one huge plus for that.

Walking distance to everything that matters - the parliament ( 20 minutes) , ruin bars and other restaurants ( 11 minutes) synagogue ( 5 minutes) , the pier (20 minutes). If you’re traveling and exploring the city - this hotel is strategically located.

Good: I came to this hotel last minute after I had arrived at the most disappointing hotel I had previously booked. I booked Austria online and then arrived at reception abut 15mins later - I was very warmly greeted and welcomed by staff so kindly after I was stressed and frazzled from a 7 hour travel day. The hotel is lovely, very nice inviting vibe, the rooms were very spacious and extremely clean! I am a 30 year old female who is solo traveling Europe, so safety was my first priority, which I absolutely felt at this hotel! I would definitely recommend

A very beautiful, old-style environment that truly captivated me — rich in stimuli and wonderfully designed, in contrast to the many modern, minimalist hotels that, to me, only offer a sterile and dull experience. The restaurant is like something out of a fairy tale, and the reception staff were kind. Reaching the city center practically starts the moment you step out the door — the location is perfect. I can only recommend it to anyone who is tired of modern hotels and longs for a truly classic experience.

Good: It was all good except for noise coming from room 605 .. not hotels fault but coke my grandaughter and no reply when she rang reception. Apart from that perfect. Lovely breakfast choice .

Good: Very central location and easy to reach any point in Budapest. The building is gorgeous. The breakfast was good. It was very clean. The only disadvantage is that our room was facing the main street and we could hear the traffic even with closed windows.

Good: Late check on as a very late flight, the night receptionist older gentleman was superb - one of the best of Hungarian hospitality - he saw me exhausted at arrival, relocated and upgraded me to the top floor to make sure I have a quiet room and able to sleep well. Location is literally at the corner of Astoria, cannot be better Left luggage at reception, collected 9 pm only, were no problem with that Bad: Nothing I can think of
