Good: The hotel was in a very good location and the staff were always very helpful. The room service was also great and the rooms were very clean. Bad: The shampoo and body wash weren’t good at all and the shower caused leakage onto the bathroom floor causing it to be very wet.

Good: Belle Epoche Hotel with amazing atmosphere. Perfect location to everything. Amazing breakfast buffet (add on), so many choices. We loved the aircon and the ambiance. Bad: A bit gross as there were long black hairs on the bathroom floor on arrival. Carpet and furniture had wear and tear but acceptable.

Good: I liked the history of the hotel. Easy access to metro/tube and buses. Also liked the restaurant. Bad: More accessibility would be great.

The location is excellent. The air conditioning is great because it can be noisy at times at night. So you don't have to have the windows open. Felt our room could do with some TLC. There was a broken dressing table. Tape around the top of the windows. Generally the rooms looked tired. Cleanliness of room wasn't great. Hit and miss is the phrase I'd use. Breakfast, had plenty of options. Not easy to get hot water. The machines only gave warm water. Didn't get much help from the Staff on duty. Could be a language problem. Which i am the foreigner. But the staff didn't seem that alert. A shame because the Hotel could offer so much more

Hotel is in a good location. It is clean but you can see the interiors needs updating. Staff was nice and polite. However, they were not well informed and could not give information or directions about the location.

Good: The location. Breakfast was a little pricy and hasn’t been changed at all from day to day, but a nice variety of food and satisfies. Bad: The mattress was bad. It seem to be broken, and you feel like falling a side at night. The pillows also were uncomfortable and old and need an urgent replacement.

Very Edwardian look but first class rooms. Staff brilliant and very helpful. Especially the waiting staff in the restaurant. We arrived at 20:40 all hungry I asked if the kitchen was still serving and was told yes till 21:00. Got into the restaurant at 20:55, the manager and waiter were both friendly and served us happily. Cleaners were all very nice.

I really enjoyed the smooth check-in and professionalism with customer service. Location was ideal, 10 metres from metro red line, 300 metres from blue line metro, supermarkets nearby and Dohamy synagogue very close. Breakfast was good.

Good: The Danubia Astoria is an elegant reminder of Hungary's glory days of the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Some of the furnishings are old but in good condition. The immediate neighborhood is a little on the gritty side, but the location is amazingly convenient, with subway, bus and tram stops all just outside the front door. Staff were uniformly kind, pleasant and helpful. The breakfast buffet was good. Bad: My only real complaint is that the shower temperature tended to swing wildly between hot and cold. Other than that, there is a bit of traffic noise and exhaust fume air as one would expect being in the middle of a major city.

The reception is a little sluggish to acknowledge you but once they do they are very helpful . Loved the friendliness of the cleaners , always greeted us in mornings . Slight downside is that there is no iron in room and don’t provide one with a request, instead you would need to go to the 6th floor ironing room. Also somehow , while the room was very clean but always found some hair on bathroom floor ( I promise it wasn’t mine as it differed in colour😅). Signed painting in suit room we stayed , also beautiful view from the balconies and nice antique furniture .

Bad: I felt like housekeeping could have done a better job. I only had my room cleaned 3 times during my 11 night stay. They did not always change the towels or replace the toilet paper or completely empty the trash. Thankfully my room was clean when I arrived

Had a good visit but disappointed with room cleaning staf 2 days out of my 3 the room was not serviced coffee cups not cleaned bins in bathroom not emptied and curtesy tray not replenish . Must say breakfast was outstanding

The location of the hotel was amazing. Close walk to many sites and lots of restaurants. Staff were very friendly and breakfast was amazing.

Good: The location is perfect. Bad: Rooms were a bit dated, carpet had visible stains. Asides from that the hotel was a great place to have as base.

I would do 4.5 because of the hard beds but that wasn't enough to warrant a four. The room looked great and we enjoyed the view of the nearby architecture from the sixth floor. The restaurant was GREAT I highly recommend eating there for dinner at least once during your stay. For the most part it was quiet except for one pair of guests in the hallway but that only happened once.

Good: This is a perfect hotel for a successful visit to Budapest. It has the atmosphere and it is beautifully restored. I just loved everything about it. And the breakfast was excellent

Good: I really wanted a more traditional/historic hotel rather than a bland modern one, so I originally booked a Classic Double room. However, I was offered the opportunity to upgrade so I ended up with the Corner suite on the 3rd floor, overlooking the city streets. It was still one of the classic rooms, not like the modernised ones on the upper floor. It was a huge amount of space, and was really a great experience, especially given the history of the building. For example, we learned it was briefly used as Gestapo headquarters, and we also found out thee is a giant nuclear bunker under the intersection outside, built by the soviets during the Cold War, and connected via tunnels to the Parliament building a few blocks away. Bad: The only criticism I had of the room is that it was quite dusty and we both couldn't stop coughing and sneezing. However, don't let this put you off. The positives more than made up for it.

We had planned to stay as a party of two, but we had to add a third person; when I enquired at the hotel, they accepted the third person at the price for two without any hesitation. When we arrived at the hotel, we saw that the room was spacious enough for three people to stay comfortably. Our room was on the fifth floor and faced the street; it had a small balcony, which made our stay even more enjoyable. The ventilation, air conditioning and soundproofing were excellent. As we were right on the main street, the constant noise of the city never stopped, even if you opened the window to sleep. So, keeping the window closed and turning on the air conditioning was the most effective solution. The Wi-Fi worked flawlessly throughout the hotel. Breakfast was superb. The coffee could do with a bit of improvement. The hotel’s location was brilliant. I’m thinking of coming back to Budapest, and I’ll definitely consider staying at this hotel again.

Good: Hotel was very convenient to all forms of public transportation. Don't let the vintage look of the public areas foul you. Sleeping rooms were up to date and comfortable. Bad: Although our room was on the third floor it was noisy from street traffic. We also had to wrangle luggage up and down a half flight of stairs.

Beautiful building in the heart of Budapest. You can feel the uniqueness of the hotel. The location is also great, just next to the metro station, tram and bus stops. The only small detail would be the street noise - if you are a light sleeper, you may not like it, it is next to a very busy street. Also, at this price, it would be nice if earlier check-in (if available), was possible at no extra fee.

Good: The room was clean, spacious and very well air condinioned. It was quiet. Very comfortable bed. A complementary bottle of water was provided. Luggage storage after check-out was provided for no extra cost. Excellent location at Astoria. Metro M2 and many buses are 1 minute away walking. The breakfast was very good. Good: Location is perfect for travelling around Budapest. Danube is a short distance away and many bars and restaurants close by. Multiple transport options right outside the hotel that take you all over the city. Room was a great size, cleanliness excellent. Breakfast was very good, it set us up for a day of sightseeing across the city. I'll certainly recommend it to friends and family if they are going to Budapest.

Excellent Hotel in a good location, breakfast is a real highlight. Only downside was traffic noise from the main road but that can’t be helped. I would stay again if I am back in Budapest

Good location, Airport bus 100E stops acroos street. The M2 subway station (Astoria) is less then 10 meters away from the hotel door. There are restaurants and a supermaket nearby. McDonald is next door. Hotel staffs are very helpful. My computer could not get on the internet due to my setting. A hotel staff called their IT to help me. The bathroom is very clean and spacious but the bedroom carpet has some stains, which look like little dirty. Breakfast is decent. The hotel has a restaurant, which has some good foods. I ate dinner there for three nights. I certainly will book this hotel for my next trip to Budapest.

Good: Very beautiful, historical hotel. Enjoyed having breakfast and dinner in the Astoria Cafe. Tried many delicious desserts. Employees in breakfast room and cafe are very helpful. Bad: The scrambled eggs got cold quickly. Same with porridge. Maybe more choices by adding changes in the variety of roasted potatoes, baked tomatoes, mushroom and vegetables etc. so it gets more exciting .

Good: The hotel was in the perfect location to walk to all the attractions. The staff were very helpful, they recommend places to eat.Everyone was very welcoming at the attractions which were all amazing and very interesting. The night cruise was amazing because everywhere was lit up and you saw everything in a different light.Budapest is worth visiting. Bad: We didn't dislike anything.
