We were really satisfied with everything at the hotel. The room provided to us had a great view in Danube, it was very clean and the bedding also met our expectations. The spa at the property is amazing and extremely clean also which was very important for us, we took 2 massage packages and we have to admit that the masseur (we are not sure about her name, maybe Gita or something like that) she was incredible.. her hands were magical! The only thing that made us feel uncomfortable was a waiter from the yellow bistro who for some unknown reason didn't want to serve us food even if the kitchen was open and that happened 2 times in the same day with the following weird excuse : "we're very busy at the moment and so I dont know if we can serve food now, maybe you go eat at the restaurant" - they had only 2 full tables at the moment so you can't say this was a busy time of the day, at least for my eyes. However the maitre took action immediately both of the times when I told him what happened, found a table for us and made him take the order with no second thoughts. I believe that behaviours like that at a 4* property with the amenities you provide should not be accepted from the personnel because they lower the experience of the guest for no reason, just because one person can't reach the standards of the property. In general all the other employees we met and got in contact with were more than kind and willing to make our stay a memorable experience and we are very thankful for

We spent four days in December.Excellent and friendly staff ready to assist at any time. Very clean hotel, rich breakfest, and a very relaxing SPA. I would highly recommend this hotel and go there again.

Hotel: Ein Hotel, wie man es sich wünscht. Es gab keine Mängel. Nur positives zu berichten. Wir waren ueber die Weihnachten dort. Un das mit unserem Hund. Absolut kein Problem. Da umliegend relativ viele Wiese vorhanden war, sehr problemlos. Wir würden immer wieder dort buchen. Schade in Budapest ist eigentlich nur, das unprofessionelle Verhalten bei der Metro. Als deutsch sprechender bekommt man dort nur abweisendes Verhalten. Die sind sich einfach nicht bewusst, dass man auch in der Schweiz Deutsch spricht. Das zieht sich uebrigens durch die ganze Stadt fort. Interessant, dass Verkäufer auf dem Weihnachtsmarkt praktisch alle Deutsch konnten.

Lovely staff, very helpful. Lovely quiet hotel. Bathroom and under bed could have been a little cleaner. Otherwise a fantastic stay. Would definitely return.

The property and staff were wonderful. The bathroom could use some hair conditioner and lotion, not just shampoo.

We really like the hotel. Near a metro station. The personnel at the hotel, at the reception,Deborah was very helpful when we arrived, at the restaurant, etc. exceptional. The food at the restaurant was very good. The pool and the fitness room very good. All in all everything was super! For sure, we would go back to that hotel and recommend it to others! Well done!!!

Upon arrival we were greeted by the door man, he was very welcoming. First class front desk staff who spoke many languages. Room was excellent with a river view. Very quiet even though it was a very busy hotel. Food was great and fair price for the hotel. We would definitely stay again if we are ever in Budapest again.

Really nice property, close to Margaret Island. Thermal bath was a little crowded but still very pleasing. Would definitely be staying with danubius again.

Hotel: Ich war das letzte Mal vor 3 Jahren in diesem Hotel und kann nur sagen das es sich sehr verbessert hat. Die Lobby und das Restaurant sind komplett umgebaut worden und ich hatte ein super Zimmer mit Blick auf die Donau. War 1 Nacht dort und bin am nächsten Tag nach Szeged ins Novotel (siehe writer Bewertung) weiter gereist.

Since this was our 2nd time staying at the Danubius, they must be doing something right. The staff was ever so helpful, arranging taxis, even a brown-bag for breakfast! They don't know the word "No". Will stay there again next year.Tip: Use the facilities, the Spa is phenomenal!

Second time at Danubius, so they must be doing something right. Tried the Whirlpools: MARVELOUS! Felt WONDERFUL. Anything we needed from staff, and it was done. Day trip to Bratislava: They packed us a Breakfast! Called taxi for us when we were leaving. Hot coffee for our thermos, ANYTHING!! They don't know how to say no. Wonderful hotel, Great staff. Already looking forward to next year.

Superfint på hotellet! SPA, rummen, frukosten och service var femstjärniga! Personalen är mycket trevliga och vänliga. Det var bara en sak som var störande är att folk rökte på rummen och balkongerna, trots rökförbud på Hotelet. Hoppas att personalen och administrationen kommer att vidta strängare åtgärder för rökare. Vänligen Tanja

It's been a 3 days stay for a quick run of the city - Danubius proved to be an excellent choice. Accomodation well over expected - pleasant and friendly staff, nice room with excellent view over Danube, decent breakfast (and generally good restaurant- best gulyash in town, guys!), pleasant relax right on the spot in in-house thermal baths, jaccuzi or (and) sauna, easy transport to center of the city, and of course, helpful reception which deserves special remark: when by negligence I left my tablet in taxi and asked receptionist for help, he managed to find the driver and brought me back my gadget - I don't know how: we had no licence plates, driver's name or at least name of the company. These things give a special flavour to the city - we simply have to come back again. Thanks for a perfect stay, with a lot of sweet memories, Dmitry & Tatiana

WiFi not good in room. Had to use it in lobby. Sometime cleaning forgot shampoo. Breakfast was AMAZING!!!!! Highly recommend hotel.

We have stayed in several other Budapest hotels but this was the BEST! We loved our whole stay. The location is really great, transport easy and facilities are superb. Totally recommend.

Multilingual staff, mostly we'll mannered, respectful and accommodating. Nice break, would use again as location is quiet but within a suitable distance of city centre. Will be nice when renovated.

Et utroligt dejligt sted, som vi har besøgt 2 gange. Begge gange har vi brugt deres lufthavnsservice ved ankomst. Det er dejligt at blive kørt direkte til hotellet, når man ankommer sent. Det koster ca. 300 kr. Vores (superior) værelse havde fuld udsigt til Donau og en fin balkon. Morgenmaden er stor, varieret og indbydende. Hotellet har sin egen spa med 4 forskellige bassiner. Der er også dampbad og sauna, samt masser af behandlinger. Det er let at komme til og fra hotellet med offentlig transport. Lige overfor hotellet ligger et supermarked. Kvarteret er "normalt" beboelsesområde, og vi oplevede intet ubehageligt. Kan varmt anbefale dette sted.

Mycket nöjda med vår vistelse ! Personalen i receptionen var fantastisk. Bra bemötande kl ett på natten när vi checkade in. Senare fick vi hjälp bl a med hyrcyklar och transporter. Mycket bra frukost. Åt lunch en dag och den var också jättegod med mkt att välja på. SPAavd med fyra pooler var härlig men kanske lite sliten. Provade inga behandlingar. Utcheckningsdagen kunde vi tillbringa eftermiddagen där vilket var så bra eftersom vi åkte fr hotellet kl 16. Rummet var rent och sängarna sköna.

We've stayed here a number of times now - the staff in the reception and bar/cafe area always remember us and welcome us. The facilities are excellent - much better than many of the 5* hotels in Budapest - very relaxing and as effective as going to any of the thermal baths. The hotel is located opposite Margaret Island, we had a fantastic view of the Danube and Buda Hills. Transport connections are good - using either the 75/76 tram, the M3 metro, or just enjoying the walk along the Danube.

Séjour très agréable: installations (piscine, bassins d'eau chaude, jacuzzi, sauna, ...) géniales, le balcon dans la chambre avec vue sur la très verte île Marguerite, au soleil couchant... et le petit déjeuner, très complet. Clairement notre séjour à Budapest a été bonifié par le choix de cet hotel (très vieillot d'extérieur ceci dit).

Et rigtigt godt hotel med et meget fint Spa-område. Maden var i top og personalet var meget professionelle, hjælpsomme og venlige. Hotellet kan varmt anbefales.

What can I say? It was just grate

It was one of the most beautiful expriences that we had. everything was perfect in this Hotel. Breakfast, Staff, cleanliness, rooms view, connectivity to the town.

Good: Everything We really cannot fault this hotel at all. The staff are all friendly & efficient. The room & all other areas of the hotel were spotlessly clean. Beautiful Spa & the breakfast buffet was the best we have ever seen. The hotel is a bit out of the city centre, but sits on the bank of the Danube. There is a Metro station 5 minutes walk away with a great coffee shop on the corner. Trains run every 3 - 5 minutes & only take 10 minutes to reach the centre. Brilliant stay!

Good: l'hôtel est super et son Spa est top.large choix de massage et soin en plus. le petit déjeuner est géant. le metro est vraiment pas loin. 5mn à pieds alrs les gens qui disent loin abusez pas. javais lu des commentaires dc japprehendais. certes il nest pas aux pieds de l'hôtel mais il nest pas loin. et aux pieds de l'hôtel il y a un supermarché un restaurant chinois une parfumerie et meme un arret de bus. Bad: la salle de bain un peu etroite avec les toilettes dedans mais bon cest surtout histoire de trouver un défaut.

Alles reibungslos abgelaufen, sind sehr zufrieden gewesen und können das Hotel mit gutem Gewissen weiterempfehlen. Zimmer wurden täglich gereinigt und zum Frühstück gab es ein riesiges Buffet. Da blieben keine Wünsche offen. Bei Fragen wurde uns schnell weitergeholfen. Außerdem in guter Lage um Sehenswürdigkeiten auch zu Fuß zu erreichen.

Good: super friendly staff. very clean. great Wellness area and treatment, not crowded at all, very warm water in the pools, great steam bath. We could stay in the wellness area even after checkout as long as we wanted. Very big fitness area with lots of devices. Best breakfast ever (fruits, salad, freshly pressed juice bar, egg, sausage, cheese, sprouts, soy milk, several cereals, lots of bio, cake, ... ). During dinner time there is a piano guy playing. In our confirmation there was a note about construction work. It is outside of the Hotel. We didn't hear it (weekend). However, we got a free salt room treatment because of the construction site. Bad: the food a la carte sounds better than it is. it is not bad but a bit pricey and nothing special. the evening buffet is also kinda pricey if not included. The rooms are quite small but it is ok. We usually don't spend much time in the room during vacations. No fitness classes on sundays and few on saturdays.

Good: A kilátás a szobából fantasztikus volt. Szuper a medencék kialakítása, a jacuzziban kényelmesen elfér több ember is. A reggeli maga a tökéletesség a változatos, sokrétű kínálattal. Bad: Kár, hogy a szaunánál külön vannak a nők és férfiak, de ez apróság :-)

Good: Non proprio al centro ma ottimo hotel.Di fronte supermercato Prime dove puoi trovare di tutto e alle spalle una profumeria e fermata Bus...a 300 metri fermata metro M3 dove puoi raggiungere tutta la città'...dista circa a 7 fermate dal centro ma vale la pena soggiornarci...la mattina andavo in giro al freddo per la città e verso le 7 ritornavo per un percorso SPA...che dire questa fusione turista/relax e' stato uno dei motivi principali del mio fantastico soggiorno all' Hotel Helia...Ottime le camere,la palestra e il ristorante.

Very clean hotel with courteous staff on the outskirts of the city with good transport links via trams that stop outside close to hotel.Excellent spa facilities if like us you get stuck in the hotel because of cold wintry weather. Will use the hotel again when me and my wife go back to Budapest later this year.

Good: direi che era tutto ottimo soprattutto la spa merita tanto.!!!!! resta un po' fuori ma è servito benissimo dai mezzi ...metro e pullman che ferma proprio li davanti....la colazione super ricca ....il personale parla anche un po' italiano!!! Bad: l'unica cosa che vorrei segnalare è che nel letto matrimoniale usano mettere il piumone separato che resta un po' scomodo per il resto è stato tutto ottimo bella struttura con qualità e prezzo!!!!!

Bad: Peccato che hanno coperte singole anche per letti matrimonali, ma capisco che è una loro usanza!

Good: Very good hotel. Good location. Nearest metro station is in 5 minutes on foot (3 stations to city centre). Big supermarket is across the road. There is free coffee with 2 croissants from 7 to 10 am. Spa with thermal pools and saunas are free for guests. There are bathrobes, a kettle and minibar in the room.

Mancarea la restaurant (si la micul dejun) foarte buna Bad: La masa de revelion, pt toata seara, in meniu era 0,33l apa de persoana. Daca voiai mai mult, trebuia cumparata. La cat a costat meniul si camera in acea perioada, puteau sa nu se zgarceasca la apa

Good: Très beau buffets tant le matin que pour le dîner. Personnel agréable. Spa et piscine très bien. Environnement calme. À deux pas du métro ligne 3 ave Bad: Payer un supplément pour une chambre vue Danube, surtout que nous nous sommes retrouvés à avec une vue sur les travaux de la route. Sans regarder en bas la vue restée tout de même jolie sur l'île Marguerite.

Utmärkt hotell, billigt och du får väldigt mycket för pengarna. Det ligger lite utanför stan men buss och tunnelbana är nära. Bra och proffsig service, de bokade taxi och tipsade om restauranger. Väldigt rent och fräscht. Inträde till spa med 3 stora pooler, bastu och komplett gym ingick, jätteskönt efter en kylig vinterdag. Fanns även många spabehandlingar. Skulle absolut rekommendera hotellet!

Good: Super vriendelijke mensen, ontbijt was goed, grote zaal maar toch heel klein met tussenschotten de zalen. Zwembad was ook goed handendoeken krijgt je bij de balie. Super hotel was t voor ons echt een aanrader. Bad: Kan niets vinden wat ons tegen viel.

Good: Kellemes, nagy légterű a vizes részleg, megfelelő méretűek a medencék. Gyönyörű a kilátás a Margitszigetre. Bad: A személyzet csaknem minden tagja kedves, segítőkész volt, kivéve azt a recepcióst, akinél a kijelentkezésünket intéztem. Ő nagyon nem illik egy négycsillagos szállodába!

Good: Patul foarte confortabil, curatenie si piscinele cu apa foarte calda :). Sincer, chiar recomand acest hotel!! Bad: Mancarea putin cam scumpa.

Good: Am petrecut doua nopti la acest hotel si totul a fost excelent. Curatemia, serviciile, micul dejun bogat, personal foarte amabil. Hotelul este pe malul Dunarii aproape de Centrul orasului.

Good: de bar, het wellness gedeelte health en spa. Prachtig zwembad. De winkels in het hotel. Het ontbijt uitstekend. Bad: restaurant is erg ongezellig, en het restaurant personeel minder vriendelijk dan rest van het personeel. Buitenkant hotel is net een betonblok , niet mooi. Ligging te ver van centrum , metro , bus of tramhalte. Receptie en ander personeel super klantvriendelijk. Terras is ongezellig ingericht en het zonneterras is te betreuren.

Good: Es ist pure Entspannung und Erholung morgens und abends in den Thermalbecken und in den Saunen!
