Everything about it is amazing, second time staying here. Perfect location, great pool and spa facilities (highly recommend getting a hydrating massage from Szinti. She is a gem, very bubbly and sweet lady). Definitely will get a good night's sleep here. Also, good variety for breakfast. It's the only place me and my partner stay when we come to Budapest. Thank you! 😊

Good: Our favorite hotel in Budapest. Has great spa facilities, rooms are very comfortable, excellent breakfast and a parking lot. Not much more we can ask for which is why we keep coming back. Bad: Nothing not to like.

Good: Our room was perfect, except that the window was not tight enough, so we could feel outside air and hear noise. However, this is something I reported to the staff, and they were very thankful that I informed them about it. Bad: Nothing at all.

Good: Hotel is near the river, and 15 min by feet to center, near the hotel is shops and restorants, but you can eat very good in hotel, there is breakfast and dinner, very clean rooms, spa center is perfect. Very polite personal, thanks a lot for my good rest in hotel.

Breakfast excellent, staff nice and friendly - especially Peter - the receptionist, so kind, friendly and helpful. The only disadvantage is the temperature in the rooms. We were in January, pretty freezing outside ( -7) and the rooms were not warm enough.

Good: The hotel is in a beautiful location by the Danube, the room was overlooking the river, the breakfast was buffet so you had a choice of what you wanted. I was at the conference and it was very professionally organised. You are in the city quickly, but you can take a taxi, it is very cheap.

We’ve had a lovely time here. Despite our midnight check-in, Szabi, from the reception, has welcomed us warmly. Very kind staff, clean and newly renovated rooms. Great breakfast, with gluten free and vegetarian options.

This hotel is a gem, a very nice and relaxing place to stay during vacations in Budapest. The location is very close to the center, the breakfast was very rich it had everything you can imagine, the rooms big with nice bed and perfect bathroom with shower. The experience continues with the pools where you can relax. I highly recommend this hotel and I will visit it for sure when I will go to Budapest again.

Good: Staff was friendly and helpful. Pool is enough and very good for families with small children. Hotel is about 20 minutes walking distance to city center. Bad: Dinner buffet is expensive. If the hotel increases main meal options, then it can be worth.

Good: I stay in this hotel few times, and I like it a lot. Rooms are always clean, good breakfast was including in price. We have a beautiful view on river from our room. Also in price was included fitness and spa. Personal of hotel is very polite and always ready to help. I will back here againe.

Good: Beautiful view of the Danube River from our room, excellent breakfast, a very nice spa, and a great neighborhood full of restaurants and bars, just a 20‑minute walk from the Parliament and only a 5‑minute walk from the metro station. Bad: Everything was great!

Pool area should be clean and sanitized and no outdoor shoes should ne allowed at any occasion

Good: The breakfast is fabulous. The spa is relaxing and quite good. Bad: The hotel outside is quite badly maintained, but the inside is good. However, they keep many people waiting for the early check-in until and even past the 15:00. They could have given some rooms when available, but they were allowed only after that time. The worst thing is they also gave the same room for another guest so I got those guests at my room while I was sleeping which was quite unfortunate after my long trip without sleeping. It was a mistake of course, but it really destroyed my sleep schedule.

Good: The rooms/beds were comfortable and clean, the breakfast was great and the pools with warm water were excellent. There is an affordable parking in front of the hotel. Nice view over the Danube if you get a room with Danube view. Bad: The sauna needs an urgent renewal. It is old and smells badly. Some people are going inside the sauna with swimming trunks although forbidden. There is no water inside the sauna bucket. Dinning was quite expensive.

Very close to centre. Clean and very friendly staff. The pools are wonderful with hot and warm water and child-friendly. We had no problem letting our son play in the water on his own.

Good: The location, large parking, good breakfast Bad: The employee supervising the pool was constantly on his phone and did not react when children (and not only children) were jumping into the jacuzzi, disturbing the guests. When we told him that he should do his job better, he said "ok" and then continued to play on the phone, doing absolutely nothing to stop that chaos. The variety of dishes for the dinner was more limited than on previous occasions.

Good: The hotel is highly recommended - we had an excellent stay as a family. The rooms are spacious, the breakfast is varied and rich, the staff is lovely. High level of cleanliness.

Good: The bath was quite nice, and the spa as a whole was really comfy. Staff was friendly, and breakfast was good. The location is really great for exploring the city. Bad: There was a noticeable humming in the room, likely from an electric appliance next to it. I slept with earplugs, so it was ok.

Good: great hotel, very good location (about 2kms from the Palace of parliament but otherwise close to the center and with a beautiful view of Danube). very good food, nice staff. nice pools with heated/thermal water. Bad: overall a very good experience but i think that during the winter the hotel could use a bit of extra thermal insulation. on a windy day with -3 C outside and wind blowing you could clearly feel the cold from outside if you were looking through the window at the beautiful Danube.

Good: We really enjoyed the breakfast and personel was very friendly. The restaurant and bar are quite nice. The bedroom was clean and was large enough for two people (booked a room with two beds - would have been a bit crowded if we had been four people). We enjoyed our massages. The bus stop is on the same corner where the hotel is located, and there is a metro station around 10 minutes walking from the hotel. In general we felt quite safe staying there (2 women). Bad: The hotel is further away from the tourist attractions, so we lost a lot of time getting to the city center and back. Our floor had a strange smell (though not unpleasant - might have been the cleaning agent they use).

Good: Very nice hotel with friendly staff and nice rooms. A little outside the city center but real close to the bus stop and the metro station. We got a room with a view over the Danubius, it was amazing to watch the snowfall and the fireworks throught the flood from our room (we were there for NYE but unfortunately it was to cold outside). Very big selection for breakfast. Bad: There was the spa included with our room which we couldn't wait to use after freezing all day. I would have expected an email or some notification of the fact that it wasn't going to be open for the evening.

Good: Incredible value for money. We have stayed here four times already and were a bit apprehensive about spending Christmas in a hotel, but we really didn’t need to worry. The catering staff are extremely professional—you hardly notice them working, yet everything is always perfectly taken care of. The hotel is spotless and very comfortable, and waking up to the river view is simply beautiful. Breakfast is fantastic, with a great selection of hot, cold, and continental options. The food is high quality and delicious; the chefs and catering team are outstanding and work incredibly hard. The entire service is very well managed. The Christmas dinners were special and delicious, accompanied by a live band playing smooth music. We were also greeted with a glass of champagne or juice, which we only realised at checkout was complimentary—a lovely touch. We are already looking forward to booking our next trip. Bad: There was nothing we didn’t like. It is a little hard to watch people working so hard at Christmas—especially the cleaning staff and catering team and the management —so that guests can relax and enjoy themselves. As a Hungarian, it’s something you notice even more. It is, of course, their job; nevertheless, we truly hope they are paid in line with the wonderful work they do, and that other guests were not shy about leaving tips. Their hard work and professionalism truly deserve recognition.

The only bad thing was the carpet in the room which obviously wasn't clean and nobody cleaned it during the four days of our stay. The location is far from the center but the metro and bus stations are 5 minutes away so everything was easy.

And beacuse all of that price is to expencive, i was definitly at hotels with better facilities for less money. Final is 9/10 just beacuse of welness stuffs. Overestimated. I was staying at this hotel, but during the weekend days the pools are too crowded. Too many people that were not hotel guest were coming only for pools.

Good: We loved the pool. The food was great. The girl from reception was nice (don't know her name). Overall I'll give a 9.9 which in my opinion is great. I'll definitely return if I go back to Budapest. Bad: Staff from the bar need to improve their customer service. Everything else was fine.

Good: To be really honest me and my wife have never had such a positive, relaxing and satisfying experience, we think the Danubius Helia can be considered one of the best hotel in all of the European continent in the relation quality/service/price (and we saw really many hotels). We warmly recommend the hotel for a relaxing regenerative and recharging rest. The hotel is very highly recommended not for one but for several reasons. First of all the warmth and professionalism of all staff, always ready to help, then the breakfast was fully satisfactory for all tastes and plenty of many choices. The room was clean and big enough for our comfortable rest with a stunning view on the river, the position useful to reach all the places of main interest of the capital. Me, my wife and my son want to express our sincere gratitudine to all of the staff of Danubius Helia to have given us the possibility to live a lifetime experience of a great enjoyable holiday. Bad: No one helped me from the train station to the hotel…. So I walked. They could not arrange transport. They could not give directions. I learned how to get there from some young ladies Promoting tourism.

Good: The breakfasts were amazing. The staff were very friendly and exceptionally helpful whether they were at the front counter or the restaurant areas. Bad: That the rooms weren't cleaned every day, nor the beds made up every day even though we had stayed for 11 days. Maybe they should employ more people for housekeeping.

Good: Beautiful location on next to the Danube. Plenty of facilities available on site. Parking available on site. Rich breakfast, with plenty of choices suitable for all tastes. It's within walking distance from the Ferris Wheel, or you can also take a Bolt taxi. You can easily take a walk back from the Ferris Wheel, alongside the Danube.

Good: Loved everything about this hotel, the staff, the food, everything was clean. Bad: The room was way too hot, doesn't go below 22 degrees, air con didnt work, and windows are locked. Sauna and steam room was also closed on 2 of our days here, which was a shame because we purposely stayed in this hotel for the facilities.

Good: The swimming area was fantastic and the breakfast and loads of food. The Club sandwich was beautifully and well done to the kitchen 👏👏

Good: Breakfast was excellent each morning with a huge choice of food. Fresh omelettes made to order were a bonus. Bad: The spa at this hotel has separate spa for male and female guests. It requires guests to enter naked which is an unusual request.

Hotel on the very bank of the beautiful Danube, the hotel is good, the rooms are enough for two, impeccably clean, the staff cleans them every day, changes towels, leaves a bottle of water. The morning breakfast is good, you can find something even for the pickiest. The hotel also has three indoor pools with a decent size and warmer water and one slightly larger where you can swim with a water temperature of about 28 degrees. For people traveling with their own vehicle, the hotel has its own parking lot, which is charged 12 euros per day, a quite decent price. The location of the hotel allows you to visit most of the city's sights on foot. Excellent balance between price and quality.

Even with the kid’s bed there was space to move around. I would advise to buy public transport card (you can buy that from the metro station 8 min walk), then you can use that on any bus/ metro. The bus station is a 2 min walk and there is one that takes you straight to their city centre.

Good: Immaculately clean, warm and comfortable, loved the pool area and the breakfasts were amazing, lots of choice, beds were very comfortable and the shower was perfect.. A little way from everything but the metro is a 5 minute walk, we walked to the main area twice and it’s a lovely walk along the river, took about 40 minutes, Ubers are cheap enough and easy.. i would recommend this hotel
