Nice and cozy

Excellent location, excellent breakfast, very good staffs, I recommend this hotel for everyone Amazing vacation in Budapest.

Good: Excellent room with a balcony, comfortable bed, rich breakfast, helpful staff, location (Danube is about 15 minutes walk from here, a supermarket Tesco - in 3 minutes)

Good: Comfortable hotel in a central location at a very affordable price :)

Good: Le charme d’un hôtel hors du temps, la chambre immense, la salle de bains moderne et impeccable, le petit déjeuner hongrois, le personnel qui paraît être là depuis des siècles. Ne changez rien!

Good: The size of the room, the comfy beds, the location, the decor and the restaurant Bad: The concierge staff were a bit reserved and weren’t overly helpful.

Good: The hotel services were good and pleasant, the Hotel is located on the Astoria station which is both good and bad. Good because the metro line 2 is very close and there are quite a lot BUs abd trams lines. it's also 5 min walk from metro line 3 which make it very useful and helpful. Bad, because it is located on the main street and the rooms are a bit noisy. Breakfast is standard European, for me there were missing fresh vegetables. The rooms are clean and welcoming with a comfortable bed. There are coffee shops and restaurants in a walking distance, the Parliament and other key attractions are also in walking distance. All and all, it’s a nice hotel in a good price and is value for money. Bad: A teaput would be nice, Make the windows more isolated to the noise in the street. Fresh vegetables in breakfest would be great.

Good: This was my second visit to this hotel, in five years. I stayed separately from my friends (from USA) because I liked the decor and the service as well as the situation within the city. My expectations were not disappointed; and I received lots of helpful advice at the hotel. They also upgraded me to a room which was pleasantly quiet, within the busy city.

Quick check in, very helpful polite staff from reception to cleaners, restaurant staff always available to provide individual needs. Comfortable rooms, with authentic decor. Close to all attractions and transport, central location.

A historic hotel in a very historic city. Thank you for the upgrade room and fine service by all staff members. Hotel is only 10 minute walk to Danube River.

Good: Erinomainen aamiainen upeassa ravintolasalissa. Ystävällinen, palveleva henkilökunta. Keskeinen sijainti, julkinen liikenne helposti hyödynnettävissä.

Skønt hotel med dejlig beliggenhed. Morgenmaden var god og vælger man at spise på restauranten får man en oplevelse plus dejlig mad! Værelset var ikke så stort, men det gjorde heller ikke noget, da vi kun brugte det til at sove i. Eneste som kunne have været bedre, var værelsets placering, det lå meget langt nede af en lang gang, i hvad der virkede som en gammel del af hotellet. Tak for et dejligt ophold, vi vil helt bestemt anbefale hotellet :)

Good: Het personeel is uit stekend, zeer attent en behulpzaam. Het centrum is op loop afstand. De Meteo kost haast niets helemaal top. Bad: Dat je de ramen niet open kon doen . Jammer was dat. Teveel Auto gassen.

Good: Location, staff, the room itself, the restaurant, and all the appointments of the hotel. Bad: Unfortunately there was a fire alarm that went off around midnight. It turned out to be a false alarm, however, we were in room 347 and after trying all ways to exit we found that we were locked in no matter what exit we tried escaping from. Had this been an actual fire we would have had a possible life threatened situation.

Good: לא לקחנו ארוחת בוקר מטעמי כשרות. המלון נמצא ממש ברובע היהודי ולכן היה קל מאוד להגיע לבית חב"ד ולמסעדות ובית הקפה הכשר. התחבורה הציבורית עוברת ממש מתחת למלון. מיקום מצויין, שירות מעולה (המליצו על תחבורה, סיורים וכו'. דאגו למונית שתגיע לפנות בוקר)

Wonderfully maintained stylish and classy hotel. Dining at the Astoria Cafe Restaurant is an experience second to none, it is on par with the famous New Yok Cafe in Budapest. Comfortable large room with retro decor and furniture. Hotel staff are very polite, attentive and helpful. Free Wi-Fi is excellent. Unfortunately I could not have breakfast at the famous cafe as I had to check out by 7 am to catch a flight. Perhaps breakfast could be served from 6 am like in many other classy grand hotels around the world like the Astoria in Budapest.

Good: The room was very comfortable and the reception staff were very helpful. Bad: The day tours. We took 3 tours and were not impressed with the tour company. We were never picked up on time and had to find our own way back after the tour. They did not drop off.

Good: na een klein probleem op onze kamer werden we direct overgeboekt naar een andere kamer, dit bleek de suite te zijn! Geweldig. Personeel is erg behulpzaam en vriendelijk, het ontbijt is echt okay, niet super de luxe maar meer dan genoeg variatie. Schoon hotel. Top locatie. Bad: als er dan een minpunt genoemd moet worden dan vind ik persoonlijk vloerbedekking nooit top in een hotel, en de kamers aan de straatkant zijn enorm gehorig, maar goed je zit midden in een stad waar behoorlijk veel verkeer rijdt ! Mocht je rust zoeken dan zou ik een kamer aan de andere kant vragen.

Good: Удачное месторасположение отеля - в центре Будапешта, рядом вход в метро и остановки общественного транспорта, но основные достопримечательности находятся в пешей доступности;) Приветливый персонал на респепшн (привет Ласло, спасибо за знание русского языка). Просторный номер (бронировали делюкс) в классическом стиле в светлых тонах + балкончик с обзорным видом. По запросу предоставили (сразу же!) халат, тапочки и чайную станцию. Хорошие завтраки, достаточно разнообразные. В ресторане можно поужинать в приятной атмосфере под живую музыку) Bad: Uорничные смену постельного белья не производили не то, что каждый день, а вообще за все время пребывания, а также не всегда обновляли туалетные принадлежности.

Good: The staff was excellent. Super friendly and helpful. Balcony and ability to open windows was great. The location is walking distance from all major attraction. We walked everywhere from the hotel to the Buda Castle and Parliment. We took the 100E bus from the airport as it drops you off across the street of the hotel. On your trip back, you need to catch the bus about 3 blocks away. Very easy. Starbucks across the street if you miss home. Bad: A bit loud from guest in the hall as in a lot of hotels.

Good: The hotel looks like a slightly faded Grand Hotel - you can imagine what it would have been like before the war. Don't let that description put you off the rooms are very comfortable and the staff very helpful. It is in an excellent location right next to the metro and a short walk from the Elizabeth bridge. Good: Astoria has a very friendly atmosphere. Fantastic air condition which was really needed on these extremely hot summer days and nights. Great breakfast and we did not hear anything from our neighbours and hardly anything from the hard traffic in the streets. Bad: The hot weather which was not Astoria's fault. Many homeless people and drug addicts in and around the metro station (neither was this the hotel's fault.

Excellent service, everybody is helpful and smiling. Slept really well on a comfortable bed. Central location, very close to inner city restaurants and museums. Very clean and reasonably quiet for central location. The restaurant deserves a separate filling in in as its brilliant as well, with good portions, absolutely delicious and reasonably priced too.

L' hotel Danubius è situato nel centro di Budapest, vicino alla stazione della metropolitana Astoria e a soli 4/5 minuti a piedi dalla conosciutissima Váci utca , nei pressi della storica Sinagoga e dei tanti mercatini che i turisti adorano . L'albergo Danubius è arredato con uno stile da inizi del 900 ed ho letto che i suoi saloni sono stati utilizzati come set cinematografici per molti films sin dagli anni 50 fino ai giorni attuali anche con attori italiani come Zingaretti ( il famoso Montalbano ). - Confortevole e ben arredata la.mia camera, solerte e composto il servizio, ma il meglio l' albergo lo offre con le sue splendide colazioni continentali che vanno dal salato al dolce ..... dalle salsicce alle torte assortite, dai diversi tipi di latte ai tanti tè, ai diversi yogurt, marmellate,frutta,brioches dolci vari, tanti tipi di pane, possibilità di ordinare uova ed omelette express....e tutto questo ben di dio viene servito in un bellissimo salone con stucchi dorati lampadari e lumi Bell'Epoque.

Wilde je toch wat anders, bijv een gebakken ei, ook dat werd geregeld.. super personeel en erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam Bad: We hadden een brandmelding net voordat we gingen slapen, dus hup aankleden en toch maar naar beneden gegaan, veel mensen stonden in de lobby.. Het personeel zei niets, je moest alles zelf vragen, ze kwamen niet uit hun eigen vertellen wat er mis was, beetje jammer..
