Pros: Position, convenient u/g Astoria Cons: Nothing Facilities: Reminiscent of The Grace ; Value: Affordable; Happily stay there again. Arrived with flu, took ginger, honey tea up to room within minutes of arriving :)

Good: Restauranten Bad: Utsikten. Location Tip: Midt i Budapest veldig sentralt. Vi var veldig fornøyd med hotelets restauranten. Og servicen var utmerket både på hotelet og restauranten. Maten var også veldig god. ;-)

Per quanto ci riguarda è stato perfetto. Pulito e curato (avevamo la stanza da tre posti) e con entrata dell'hotel direttamente all'accesso del metro. Ottimo per visitare Budapest.

We would recomment the hotel to anyone as extremely good value for money and a lovely place to stay.

We adored everything about the Astoria in Budapest. We did not quite know what to expect, as sometimes what you see on-line and what you actually get are two different things. Not here! Everything was wonderful: the location, the hotel staff, plus a very nice restaurant downstairs. Highly recommend to anyone who is going to Budapest! Time-saving tip: Short walk from hotel Get to know the city with a Hop on, Hop Off bus tour, then go back by foot or Metro to see what interests you. The Metro station is right outside the Hotel Danubius Astoria. You do not even cross the street, the steps are a few steps out the front door. Very convenient!

We did not bring a laptop so I don't know what the wifi arrangements are, however there are plenty of places around with internet access. We also dined in the restaurant and had a superb meal. Budapest is a lovely city and we shall certainly revisit and stay at this hotel. If you are new to Budapest we would also recommend that you consider taking the airport minibus to directly to your hotel. This was affordable and was very convenient both on the arrival and departure to the airport.

Good: noi abbiamo solo usufruito della camera e questa era nelle aspettative letto comodissimo calda e spaziosa Bad: data la posizione dell'hotel prospicente ad una via molto trafficata un po' di rumore ma sopportabilissimo Location Tip: posizionato in posizione strategica per poter visitare la citta' comodissimo ai mezzi pubblici "metro appena fuori dall'albergo" ci siamo trovati ottimamente personale ottimo e molto cortese disponibilissimo ad aiutarci posizione ottimale per mezzi pubblici

At first, I thought the hotel is a little dark (as in, not well lit), but I think that's just a Hungary thing. I will say, the staff ALWAYS went above and beyond for every guest. Good: 当ホテルは、アストリア駅の前にあります。地下鉄、トラム、バスすべて目の前なので、一日乗車券を買えばどこへでもすぐに移動できます。 又、くさり橋なども歩いていける距離にありますからとても便利でした。 隣にマクドナルド、100m先にレートの良い両替所もあります。(ホテルの方に教えてもらいました) ホテルの建物やレセプションはアンティークな感じで良かったです。 何よりもスタッフがとても親切で、色々質問したりお願いしましたが笑顔で対応していただきました。 また行ったら利用したいホテルです。

Stayed here for a few days. Location was great and conveniently next to the metro. Easily accessible by walking to many attractions and restaurants.

Posizione ottima, personale gradevole e preparato. Buon il ristorante Mirror.

Good: Le camere ampie e comode nonchè ottima ubicazione. La metro è nei pressi dell'ingresso. Location Tip: Budapest è una città molto carina. Merita di essere visitata. Ubicazione e posizione ottima, a poca distanza dal ponte Elisabetta. La camera, per una famiglia è stata molto confortevole, oltre al bagno principale insiste anche un doppio servizio dotato solo di water e lavandino, molto comodo per eventuali necessità. Uno degli addetti alla reception parlava italiano per cui molto utile per qualsiasi esigenza, anche per alcune prenotazioni per visite alla città organizzate da altri tour. La cucina del ristorante è stata buona.

Vi är jättenöjda, trevlig och hjälpsam personal, rena rymliga rum. Dock tyckte vi att det som ingick i den frukosten som man fick "på köpet" var lite fattig med bara en croissant och kaffe men å andra sidan fanns det ett fik på andra sidan gatan där man kunde få latte och ciabattamacka för en billig peng så det löste sig ändå. Aircondition fanns men var inte så kraftig. Vi hade 40-45 grader och dallrande hetta när vi var där och hade önskat lite mer drag och kyla från ac'n, men på det hela är vi jättenöjda med hotellet och vår vistelse i Budapest och kan starkt rekommendera detta hotell till andra.

Schönes stillvolles Hotel, die Zimmer sind renoviert und das Angebot im Restaurant ist abwechslungsreich. Gute Lage aber ein bisschen laut für mich. Die Mitarbeiter waren sehr hilfsbereit.

Staying at the Astoria was a pleasure. Friendly staff, food, entertainment, comfort, location and price all add up to perfection. It made our stay in Budapest most enjoyable, would definitely recommend to a friend!

We stayed at the Danubis Astoria for a stag weekend and the hotel was certainly grander than we expected for the money... The lobby was very nice and the free Wi-fi certainly a bonus... The staff were mainly very good althoughhaving no idea on what to tip and then having been asked for 4000HUF for the guys moving the bags at the start of the trip I can now look back and see this as excessive... So do be carefull what to pay in tips The hotel is easy walking distance to the bar area but far enough away that it doesnt disturb your sleep... and they didnt complain about us coming back drunk at 5am two nights running.... although I did like the look of horror on the barmans face when faced with a bloke in a mankini... Prob not the place where you will be able to be outrageous.... The jazz band in the dining room certainly added to the feel of elegance....and overall a very good stay

Fantastisk service!!! Helt imponert. Litt dyr hotellfrokost, så vi valgte dette bort. Var så billig ellers i byen at man lett kan tillate seg å spise ute, selv studenter. God, sentral beliggenhet, med en noe trafikert gate utenfor, men den var ikke sjenerende når man kom litt opp i etasjene.

We enjoyed our stay very much. The only negative was the alternate breakfast for those who did not want buffet. Limited person to one small croissant and one coffee.

The location was perfect for a easter in Budapest. Walking distance to everything, buth also metro busses and tram outside the door. Friendly and helpfull staff. The restaurant was nice, service good, but the food was without taste.

I have absolutely no criticism of the Danubius Hotel Astoria. The hotel is very clean and aesthetically pleasant, the staff is kind and courteous as well as well-versed in English (great asset for any tourist). In addition, the downstairs restaurant - Mirror Restaurant - has an outstanding food and wine selection with appropriate pricing and romantic atmosphere. The location itself is very fine as well, a five to ten minute walk to the Danube River with spectacular bridge views. For anyone wanting to travel to Budapest, the only piece of advice to offer (probably self-evident) is to visit during Spring to late Autumn seasons. I came in February and froze half my face just walking along the river edge.

Astoria är ett vackert hotell med fasad i secessionstil och interiör i nybarock. Erdös Gábor är Front office manager, han gav oss en fantastisk service, långt över förväntningarna. Bl.a trollade han fram Operabiljetter med perfekta platser. Hotellet andas en svunnen tidsepok och har klass och stil. Det är personligt, lagom stort och smakfullt inrett. Här känner du dig hemma och jag hade kunnat stanna länge. Matsalen och café delen är förtjusande och de serverar god mat. Astorias läge är perfekt, en meter till tunnelbanan och spårvagnar. Dett är mycket bekvämt när du skall på upptäcksfärd. Jag kommer helt säkert tillbaka och kommer alltid att bo på Astoria när jag besöker Budapest.

Hotellet ligger centralt och sevicen är god. Det enda jag har att klaga på att är det inte finns fri WiFi.

Good: location, atmosphere, spacious room a very nice hotel, at a very convenient location, easy to reach anything on foot, but also exactly at the metro station with the same name, a bit old fashion, charming for this reason, maybe not so charming for some for exactly the same reason, staff professional, if a bit distant. stayed there for more than a month in total, so i obvioysly like it, especially for the price!

Excellent breakfast and good evening menu. Food was exceptional. Try the goulash soup, the pike and the lamb. Great flavours and perfect with the merlot. Less than £20 per head for 3 courses with wine. Good service included. Ideal situation for public transport. Metro and trams outside the door. 1 stop from Deak ter- the centre for tourists with access to all tours and most transport. Budapest card good value for this location. Good: Staff were very friendly and helpful, food was good . Although this is a very old hotel the room was nice & large very comfortable.and spotless clean with good showers etc. Location was excellent with a lot to see in just a few minutes walk.

Can't complain about anything. I had to go to the airport at 4am and they offered me coffee and packed my breakfast and gave it to me. That was impressive. Just for their improvement sake, the window curtain in my room was slightly torn and couldn't cover the entire glass window.

Location Tip: So much to recommend! The tour of the Parliament building, the old town in Buda, St Stephen's Basilica, and just taking a stroll along the Danube and over the bridges. We had a really pleasant 3-night stay at the Astoria. Staff were superb, the rooms were clean, warm and well furnished and the hotel location is excellent, an easy walk from the city centre and with both tram and underground stops on its doorstep. I'd definitely stay here again.

Le Danubius Astoria est un hotel historique de Budapest, idéalement situé au centre ville, si bien qu'il n'est facile de visiter nombre de lieux à pied à partir de ce point. Sinon, le métro est situé à 5m de la porte de l'hotel, ainsi que plusieurs lignes de bus et de trams.
