Good: Perfect location, very friendly staff, amazing style of the hotel ("astoria" style), very good breakfast, good wifi. Bad: I think maybe some additional cosmetics in bathroom like bodylotion and conditioner will be more befitting to Astoria style, especially women will appreciate it ;-)

Good: Perfect location, 1mins walk to Metro, 10mins walk to Elisabeth Bridge. 10mins walk to Vagy Vasarcsarnok. Very friendly staff team. Separated bath and toilet . Bad: The room was next to the main street, a bit noisy but it’s acceptable in the night time. The “ historical” carpet is beautiful but I won’t step on it without slippers.

Good: Excelente ubicación, a menos de 5 minutos andando de la Gran Sinagoga. El autobús del aeropuerto tiene parada delante del hotel. Parada de metro casi en la misma puerta, con línea directa al Parlamento y/o zona de Buda. Mobiliario antiguo pero con encanto. Habitación amplia y cómoda. Bad: Pocas máquinas de café en el desayuno

Good: The hotel was roughly a 7minute walk going to the city centre, the room is very eco-friendly and classy and the intercontinental breakfast was good! Good: La ubicacion Bad: Para acceder a mi habitación tenia que subir un tramo de escaleras, que aunque pequeña, fue incomodo porque traía maletas muy pesadas.

Good: Das Frühstück war sehr gut.Es gab sehr vieles zu essen!Die Lage ist großartig!Man konnte direkt zum U-Bahn.Würde ich gerne empfehlen! Bad: Die Zimmer waren nicht sehr ruhig.Beim Schlafen konnte man noch Autos und Bahnen hören.

Good: The staff was excellent and very professional. The breakfast was delicious and there were a wide variety of choices. The bed was comfortable, and of course the interiors were amazing! Bad: The room was very clean, the only thing that was not perfect, that there was a bit of limescale in the sink.

Good: Superb location. Bad: The front doors entrance to the hotel is narrow, cumbersome, heavy to push when entering and exiting the hotel.

Good: great location on the edge of Jewish quarter, close to ruins bars and the river. Great variety at breakfast. excellent wifi; we were able to stream films and mirror them to tv Bad: hotel is next to a main road, so you hear some noise from the street. on the first night a local bar was playing music loudly until the early hours which kept us awake. Perhaps a British thing, but would like a kettle in the room for tea making.

Good: Un hotel de toda la vida, con habitaciones espaciosas, con camas cómodas y un cuarto de baño amplio, con el lavabo con gran poyete para apoyar los productos de aseo, no esos lavabos donde no hay sitio para apoyar la bolsa de aseo de otros hoteles. La presión del agua de la ducha magnífica y además hay bidé, que ya siempre lo quitan en casi todos los hoteles y a nosotros nos gusta que haya. Hay 4 carteles para poner en la puerta desde no molestar a limpieza diaria que es ecológica. Nosotros poníamos la diaria y nos cambiaban también las toallas. Las habitaciones están insonorizadas y como estábamos en un piso alto solo oíamos las sirenas. La ubicación es perfecta, con el metro y autobuses en la puerta, incluso la parada del BIGBUS. de todas formas en 15 o 20 m llegas a todas las atracciones importantes de Pest andando. El bufet del desayuno muy bueno, aunque no tiene zumo de naranja natural, pero lo puedes pedir y te cobran un extra. La cafetería es una opción tanto si quieres desayunar poco como si quieres merendar o cenar, tiene una cristalera a la calle y una vitrina con pasteles muy ricos. En definitiva hemos tenido una estancia estupenda. Bad: Algunos del grupo se quejaron de que el edredón era un poco justo de tamaño, aunque a mí me pareció bien.

Good: Location was excellent. Close to everything in city center. Metro and local transportation very cheap to use. Restaurant food was excellent and reasonably priced. We would definitely stay again. Bad: Evening restaurant staff could be a little more friendly, Or possibly brushing up on their english language skills would help. Most had communication problems. Maybe having a man or woman on staff that have English as a second language would change that up to a better level of service.

Historic nature of hotel added to the whole Budapest experience

Good: Excellent location, right on the metro station. Close to all the main tourist attractions. Bad: The HVAC barely work, it was too hot in the room. The hot water in the shower is not constant, for one moment it is too hot and right after it is too cold. The soap dispenser does not work.

The neibourhood seems safe. Bad: Breakfast could be more diversified, but in any case it covers all preferences in basic terms: cereals, vegetables, eggs, meat, fruit, coffee, etc

Good: The room was spacious and the beds were very comfortable. The small table and two chairs we had in our room were very useful for when we ate meals there. The bathroom was well equipped and modern. We really liked the combination of Old World European style in the lobby of the hotel with the modern and comfortable room. The location is near a major Metro hub and plenty of supermarkets, restaurants and a Starbucks.

Lovely old hotel conveniently situated downtown and walking distance to popular districts. Close to train station and City Tour bus stops. Staff is friendly and helpful. Rooms overlook a busy main thoroughfare, making it noisy both in daytime and at night - bring earplugs!

Location is perfect near a hub for public transport. Staff are very helpful and friendly. Room had nice size but was very warm (unclear if AC worked or not). All in all great value.

Good: breakfast and location were excellent. The staff was very friendly, especially I would like to thank to reception for their warm welcoming and effort to satisfy all the customers. Everything went very well. the location is really very nice just a few steps to Astoria metro station. I attanded a conference in Expo and it took me only 15 mins from the hotel to Expo everyday and I also stayed very close to all historic places. the refurbished rooms are better I recommend them to book. You find everything needed in the room. And the breakfast was great, to be honest the best that I have ever had in Europe. i recommend this hotel. Bad: The old rooms need to be refurbished. but the new ones are excellent.

Good: I had a great time in the hotel. A great place. The restaurant is the best. My waiter and the restaurant manager are the best. The reception guy was super-friendly. A great classic hotel to stay in a center of Budapest. A walking distance to the museums, their main St. Stephan cathedral and the bridges. The room is decorated in the Baroque style and had a mini-fridge. Highly recommend.

Good: Das Astoria ist ein wunderschönes altes Hotel in sehr zentraler Lage. Das Personal war sehr freundlich, schon der Eintritt ins Foyer macht gute Laune und die Zimmer sind prima ausgestattet. Unsere Zimmer hatten Fenster zu einem sehr engen Lichtschacht, ein eher unattraktiver Ausblick. Aber da das Astoria an einer sehr befahrenen Kreuzung liegt, garantierte diese Lage eine sehr ruhige ungestörte Nacht, es hat eben alles zwei Seiten. Die Frühstücksauswahl war gut. Bad: Nichts, was den guten Gesamteindruck beeinträchtigt.

Good: The location was very good, the metro was right next to the hotel, it was also very easy to reach many touristic areas on foot. The friendliness and helpfulness of the staff was very good. We liked the lemon water dispenser opposite the reception :) We also liked the pillows of different hardness, the quality of the extra bed for our child, the originality of the restaurant and the general cleanliness of the hotel. Bad: There was nothing missing in the room we stayed in, except that there was no balcony. Our room was on the side facing the main street, which was nice in a way because we could see almost the whole street through the window. But on the other hand, the noise from the street at night was coming into the room. I would also like to point out that when the window is closed, the noises decrease a lot.
