The hotel is a good option when visiting Balatonfüred. It was nicely renovated recently and provides a cozy place to stay a few nights. The rooms are small, but they are well equipped and the position of the hotel counter all other problems.

Good location, good service, private beach.

I had a wonderful stay at Danubius Hotel Annabella in Balatonfüred. The location is absolutely beautiful—right on the lakefront and along the promenade, with easy access to shops, cafés, and restaurants. It truly doesn’t get better than this setting. The hotel itself was clean and well-maintained, and the amenities made our stay especially enjoyable. The pools and saunas were fantastic, and having access to a private beach was a real highlight. The food was amazing at the hotel restaurant! What stood out most was the exceptional service. A special thank you to the staff and manager, who were incredibly helpful and accommodating, especially with arranging an early check-in. Their kindness and professionalism made a great stay even better. I will gladly return with my family and highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Balatonfüred.

Great breakfast and dinner

Good: Big hotel with nice refurbished rooms and lobby, good breakfast and dinner with plenty options, you can always find something for you. The best part is the view, the park behind and a beautiful privat beach. We also used the option to rent hotel bikes, which were in very good condition. Bad: Parking could be maybe included in the room price, so there are no extra costs... The restaurant gets during breakfast/dinner wery crowded, but this could be expected, as the hotel is so big.

Good: Staff were very friendly and helpful, room was very comfortable, clean and spacious. Location was ideal with good local transport links for visiting other places in the area. There was a good selection of food in the restaurant. Overall a very pleasant holiday, hopefully get back next year.

Good: The location is absolutely perfect — right by Lake Balaton and the beautiful promenade, with amazing views and a relaxing atmosphere. The hotel has been nicely renovated, the rooms were clean and comfortable, and the balcony was a lovely bonus.The private beach and pool area made the stay even more enjoyable, especially during warm days.Breakfast and dinner offered a great variety of food.What we loved most was the combination of great location, relaxing atmosphere, and excellent value for money. It’s a perfect choice for couples, families, or anyone wanting to enjoy Balatonfüred comfortably. We would definitely come back again! Bad: /

Good: I like hotel location, my room was facing the lake and it was so good to sleep with fresh air. Bed was very good, nice shower, big towels. Breakfast was good, lots of choices, but dinner was kind of ok, some meet was just reheated, and warm. Overal is a good hotel. Bad: I didnt like that guests need to pay for parking.

Great location just by the lake promenade. The hotel has been clearly renovated. Liked the atmosphere and colors. Breakfast is good but coffee sucks. Dinner was ok. Rooms had everything you need but lacked slippers. Comfortable beds. All rooms have balconies. In general very friendly staff especially at reception and housekeeping.

Excellent! We are really enjoyed everything. The food , our room was great, staff was very nice. Hotel is new modern with cool design. Every room have a balcony with a lake view. 2 pools ( indoor and outdoor with sauna , towels and a drinking water) I believe only one thing hotel should be add : a drinking water at the reception

Good: The renovated rooms are nice. It was great that when we booked two rooms, they were connected. Good breakfast and dinner. The staff was kind and responsive. Bad: Putdated pool with changing rooms - also in need of renovation. when checking in the staff did not explain about breakfast/lunch times, the possibility of visiting the pool, etc. but they explained everything when we asked.

Location is the best part, directly on the lake shore, with a beautiful park in front of the hotel. Otherwise it's good enough, nothing special. They offer rich breakfast in the morning and cooked warm dinner in the evening. But the hotel is quite dated, old-school, "retro".

Clean and comfortable room, a little outdated and in need of an overhaul. Quite expensive for Hungarian prices, but would stay there again. No complaints. They also handled an infestation of moths that had arrived through what I thought was a closed window very rapidly!

Good: Location and quality of food. Bad: Room was tiny but ok. TV and AC were not intuitive to operate. TV had no option to change language whereas other hotels I’ve stayed in did have that. AC kept shutting off and there were no instructions to operate. Front desk was not very helpful regarding that. Also, parking was a nightmare.

Good: Our 3th stay at this hotel as the family. What surprised as positively is that we got interconnected rooms, even we did not expected. It made our stay even much pleasant and comfortable, and we found this much better than to have an apartment. Also, I would like to appreciate empathetic and professional approach of the staff, willingness to help, when one of us had a health issues. Thank you! I was blown away, and the room, price, and food were all top drawer. Dont get put off by the outside. it's recently been refurbished. I would stay here again without question. Everything was great about this stay.

Location was good but the private strand wasn’t comfortable. There were no sun beds available for to use, had to rent them which is bad! Should be provided! The restaurant was crowded hard to find tables anytime!

Good: Fully renovated rooms, friendly staff, close to center and own beach Bad: No even salt and pepper at dinner, while food was quite boring and tasteless. Eur 10.- extra for a sun-bed on the hotel’s beach. (Yes, it’s very expensive when compared to Italy and Spain, and there we’re talking about seaside, not a grey lake)

Good: New rooms, freshly rebuilt. So everything was in perfect condition. The hotel is almost on the beach with private beach entrance just for guests. Nice variety of food for breakfast and dinner. Bad: There are 300+ rooms, so sometimes there was no space where to sit for breakfast and dinner. We also needed to wait for clean glasses and plates because of that. So maybe there is a little understuff.

Good: Breakfast had a wide choice, much above ***. Everything was tasty, met my expectation. Bad: Reception staff was not really friendly, legs up, no question about my stay at check-out. Some part of the hotel is very old, "retro" feeling.

Good: Property was excellent! Location is very suitable, few meters to Balaton lake, own beach only for the hotel guests as well as own swimming pool in the hotel. Good: The facilities were exceptionally and we had a comfortable stay as a family. Bad: The breakfast could be more varied, some pancakes and omelettes would’ve sweetened the stay. However, the breakfast is not that much of a deal breaker.

My husband was here business and I accompanied him.  The hotel was in an excellent location and I rented a bike on 2 occasions to see the sites:  Tihany Abbey and Church, pleasure boat trip on Lake Balaton and a tour of the city.  The food was good and I was able to select a healthy variety at breakfast and dinner.  The desserts were excellent!  I had a great massage and used the swimming pool regularly.  In summary, I enjoyed a very pleasant break whilst my husband was working very hard in the heat!  We would definitely recommend in low season but in July and August may be more suitable if you have children!

Good: We had a really lovely stay here. The room was smaller but nicely renovated and had a balcony. The hotel exterior and reception area haven’t been renovated yet, but the rooms have been – if you choose one of the renovated ones, you'll be satisfied. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel is located close to the lake and even has its own private beach – really a top location! The dinners were excellent. Breakfasts could use a bit more variety, as they were the same every day, but for our stay, it was fine. Thank you!

Good: I stayed in a renovated room and everything was new and clean, with a beautiful view of Lake Balaton and the park from the balcony. Breakfast was the same every day but offered a wide selection. I personally missed having some bacon and pancakes. Dinners are totally worth it, soft drinks are included. There’s a large paid parking area in front of the hotel, and if it’s full, the staff is very helpful. They speak fluent English. Each floor has a terrace with a panoramic view of Balaton, which is a great bonus. In front of the hotel there’s a large pool, and the hotel also has its own private beach, the whole area is very well maintained.

Good: The location of the hotel is great. Lake Balaton and the cozy promenade are right next to it. Although it looks like it's a 60-year-old building, you can see that they care about it. The food is delicious and varied. What I would like to highlight is that the staff members were really nice to us from start to finish. Bad: The only weak point was the lack of room darkening. The blackout curtains didn't really block out the light, so the sun came in very early and it was still daylight at dawn, which bothered my kids.

Good: Room was very new, refurbished. It was small but well equipped. We had a great view of the lake. Bathroom was clean and very functional, no bad odors. Hotel looks outdated from outside, but inside it is very well maintained. Parking in front of the hotel, a lot of parking spaces. It's not free, but well worth to pay it. There is shade from the trees, spaces are not narrow, and it seemed like there was always enough space to park. Also location of the hotel is fantastic, it's very near the lake and center. The private beach was small but nice to have. :) Bad: Breakfast was very basic, and food was bland. It was just okay, we kind of expected it to be a bit better. But there are enough options.

Room was newly renovated and clean Bad: Rooms were a bit small and the air conditioner worked but locked so we couldn’t lower it below what was preset. The service at breakfast and dinner was a bit lacking but I can understand why. Lots of people, a bit chaotic and felt like a school cafeteria

Good: The food is great. We enjoyed the pool. Bad: We expected a view of the Balaton. We only saw it from the balcony. The AC unit was very loud. People can still smoke in the building on the side balconies. Our room was right next to the smoking area therefore when we opened our window the smoke was coming in.🥲

Good: Location :). Also the refurbished rooms are pretty Bad: A bit expensive, but clearly you pay for the location and the proximity of the promenade and the beach. The lake view is partially for the roofs, but you can see the lake, indeed :)

Good: The location was great, close to everything!

Good: Despite our visit being very short, we had a really pleasant stay here. The room was nice and the staff were polite. We enjoyed the pool, plenty of sunbeds. The location is perfect, right on the Tagore promenade. I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of food also, apart from international "standard" hotel food there were proper Hungarian dishes e.g. "borsófőzelék" and "túrós csusza" that tasted homemade and delicious, so all credits to the chefs. I hope to come back at some point in the future for a longer stay.

Good: Very well located in Balatonfured, everything was easy to reach by walking. Room was quiet and nice, a lot of options for breakfast and dinner. Access to pools and private hotel beach. Loved that room had net for bugs/mosquitos built into the doorframe, so we could keep the door open for fresh air. Bad: There was a strange citronella smell in the bathroom, my assumption was that it was to repel bugs, but not sure. Maybe it came from the shower gel which had citrusy smell. Also, it would be nice is sun beds were for free for hotel guests on the hotel beach (they were free at the pool). Overall, no complaints, just minor things.

Good: The rooms are a bit older but the view we had was incredibly nice. The location is very close to the lake and it's easy to go out for the night from the hotel. Bad: The pool is a bit crowded and small for such a huge hotel with so many rooms, so swimming wasn't that relaxing of an experience. But otherwise we had no complaints at all.

Good: The most memorable part of the stay was the helpfulness of the staff. I specifically remember Bora and a young female employee who's name I cannot recall helping us with making phone calls, directions and giving us suggestions. They made our trip such a fun experience. We loved the included meals. They were delicious and again the staff in the dining hall was so kind. The location was ideal and the hotel was easy to navigate. If I get a chance to return to the lake , I will definitely stay here again!

Good: Food and service was great. Most of the stuff was very nice. The position is amazing, right on the main walking boulevard. We enjoyed our stay. Bad: Parking should be free like in most of the hotels. The walls are thin, if other guests are loud like in our case, you cannot get a good sleep. A pair of earplugs can solve it though:) The hotel has a private beach but the chairs are not free.

Good: The selection of buffet breakfast and dinner is amazing, plenty of choices, fresh fruits, different kind of meat foods, cakes, soft drinks and so on... delicious and excellent. Bed was comfortable and big, nice room with small fridge for cooling drinks. Very nice outside and inside pools and free entry to the beach at the lake. Bad: The tap for the bathtub should be changed because it was difficult to open and turn. Otherwise no complaint at all.

Good: The hotel seen a better days as it is quite old, however everything is working as it should, the rooms are clean and have mosquito nets which is a big +, staff are very friendly and helpful, facilities are good, and the food choices and quality was 4*👍 Bad: A little bit of investment into the bathrooms would do a huge change on a + side. Our rooms didn’t have the shower holder which is not a big deal but make the shower a bit awkward.

Bad: Small child beds, if you are from usa or canada its very strange for you, it's smaller than twin. Rooms,smaller then standard size, max can fit 2 people.

Good: Danubius Anabela is a large mass tourism hotel on Lake Balaton. As such, it was a complete experience with its own swimming pool, its reserved stretch of "beach" on the Lake, music in the lobby, bikes to rent, a "club," 2 meals a day (breakfast and supper) via cafeteria. It provided a "total comfort" experience for its guests. Many guest - like me - were "seniors" taking advantage of a "no hassle" vacation. I thought it was pretty good at its goal. The staff were friendly and professoinal. My room was small but clean with a balcony and a view over the Lake (if you looked hard). The location waa great for access to the Lake and the town of Balatonfured. I would stay there again. Bad: I had no complaints. It didn't have any "charm" or "historical ambience." But that isn't what it was offering. All the comforts, no need to go outside for anything. It was good for that.
