Good: Quintessential old school charm Bad: Air conditioning is good but still a bit warm in the room

Good: Breakfast was very good! Location was excelent

Good: Hotel was old and well maintained building. Also it is located near to public transportation, restaurants and others. Bad: Bathroom. There is no shower curtain that can cover the entire bathtub. There's a glass but only half of the bathtub was covered. It's only a minor problem.

Good: A clean and cozy room. A fridge to keep all your food in. Excellent location, in the middle of everything. Received an early check-in without additional charge. Understanding and co-operative reception and cleaning staff. A good breakfast. Bad: Soundproofing between my room and the corridor was poor, luckily my room was located in a "corner" so a lot of people didn't walk past it. When I first checked in and got to my room, there was lots of hairs and toilet paper in the toilet, and I didn't have a bath towel. I received one the next day so no problem. Otherwise cleaning seemed to be done well. Breakfast good but slightly overprized.

Good: The location is just great. Direct shuttle from the airport -100E. Metro station Astoria is in 1 min walk. Lots of restaurants around. Few minutes walk from the parliament. The staff is friendly. Offered free upgrade to existing reservation. Its good value for money. Bad: The hotel is a bit old, but still worth staying at.

Really enjoyed my stay. The hotel is situated very close to bus and metro stops and really convenient for both airport and train station. It was also easy to walk to the main sights and restaurant areas. The hotel is on the corner of 2 busy roads so some rooms could possibly be noisy. The room we stayed in was at the back of the hotel so quiet, very spacious and clean

Good: (1) Building design, authentic condition & history; (2) Breakfast in beautiful room & well managed by staff; (3) Bathroom shower; (4) Openable bedroom windows; (5) BBC World channel on bedroom TV; (6) Water kettle delivered to bedroom upon request. Bad: (1) Staff almost without exception efficient, helpful & friendly. Only one grumpy bloke found in restaurant at dinner; (2) Towel policy seems shaky - changed even if rehung carefully, as instructed; (3) Room not visited by housekeeping on 2nd day.

Good: Amazing hotel with an old-fashioned yet very charming vibe that makes you feel like you are in another time. The room was very big and elegant with a very nice view on the streets. The staff is super friendly and available, ready to satisfy every need. The breakfast is huge and it is worthy also if you just sit in the beautiful room and relax with a coffee. Very good quality-price ratio. Highly recommended! Bad: I would have liked to have a boiler/coffee machine in the room and a bottle of water in the fridge. The "sweet" offer at breakfast is a bit limited. Sometimes the noise from the streets in the night is very loud although the windows usually shield it very well.

Good: The location was great. Not far from the river and right next to a metro stop. The front desk was very helpful on recommendation, including the best place to exchange money. The room was quiet and staff was great. When asked for additional pillows, they were delivered very quickly.

Frontdesk staff was helpful. My room initially had a minor electrical power problem. The maintenance staff came by within minutes to resolve it. There was also a mix-up in room assignment. Both guests assigned to the same room were amiable, and the front desk quickly resolved the matter. Not a big deal but obviously should not have happenened in the first place.

Wonderful hotel with amazing staff that are so friendly and welcoming.

Very impressed. Obliging staff - aloowed us to leave our bags at the hotel on our final day and helpful with directions and bus services. Would highly recommend.

Good: Location. It is right in the center of the city. It is within waking distance to everywhere. You can enjoy the night view of the river every night. I did. It has a Macdonald in the same building, very convinient for a good cup of nice iced americano which is not easily available in Hungary. There is a cafe in the ground floor which serves good food in the classic atmosphere. The room is big enough for two of us and the bathroom has a tub. If you are a big fan of an old classic hotel, this is it. We stayed for 7 days and I would recomend it to my friends. And the airport bus stops right before the hotel. Bad: It is situated right in the middle of a big cross road so a little noisy even at night. If you are very sensive to noises, this hotel is not for you.

Good: Beautiful historic little building in the center of Pest. The rooms were spacious, clean and cozy. Everything was pretty much walking distance. The breakfast options were decent enough as well. Bad: Some of the restaurant staff can be a bit more courteous towards guests.

Good: it’s beautiful. the staff is very helpful, courteous pleasant and the meals were exceptional. the room was extremely comfortable. Bad: You have the best front desk manager. Laszlo Zsida is a great asset to the hotel. He goes out of his way to make sure the guests needs are met.

Good: location was excellent and very helpful staff. Nice hotel which although slightly less modern than some alternatives has all the facilities needed in full working order. Had a really nice bathtub!

Good: Location was AMAZING - right in the center. I 10 minute walk to the jewish quarter and restaurants. A Tesco literally 2 minutes away. Every mode of transportation from the underground hub. The airport bus drops off right across the street - going back to the airport is a 10 minute walk to the stop (which was a bit of a disappointment - but not the end of the world - as we left in the middle of the night - we opted for a taxi instead of the walk - there are shared shuttles too). staff was outstanding - not that we needed them much, but when we did they were really pleasant and helpful. Room - we choose the cheapest...it was a bit dated, but really not something that affected our stay at all. the room was large and comfortable with basic amenities. Bad: I think I would prefer a walk in shower to a bathtub, but I knew that I had chosen a room with a tub (the ones with showers cost a bit more). the hotel is at an intersection that requires going down a flight of stairs and then up - I am not sure how someone with mobility issues handles this intersection - important to understand first if you have such issues - this is not a problem with the hotel, but rather an issue at this specific intersection, which could affect someone who stays at the hotel.

Fantastic hotel steeped in history and elegance. Great central location. Lovely staff who go above and beyond to help. Reception staff very helpful with booking taxis, giving advice and recommendations. Even printed my boarding passes for us at no charge. The gentleman and his trainee who checked us out this morning was extremely , polite , helpful and professional, a real credit to the hotel. We have travelled the world and it’s not often you find a gem of a hotel with amazing staff like this ! Thank you so much for everything .

Bad: Wifi connection was very weak for the entire stay. Multiple times it would stop working altogether and or work extremely slow sly making it impossible to research anything.

A charming art-nouveau/deco establishment in the heart of Budapest with 'excruciatingly' friendly staff, and in the practical centre of town from which access to all major sites is easily manageable. Can highly recommend for atmosphere alone!

Good: Spacious twin room, great water flow shower, decent breakfast, metro station and buses next door, great value for money. We were given a room in the newer part of the hotel. Bad: Noise from street, trucks collecting garbage at 6:30 are audible even when room windows are closed. Reception demands an extra fee for checkout later than 12:00 even when it's not in full room booking capacity.

Recently stayed here on a business trip, ideal location for bars and restaurants, after a long day in the office you don’t always feel adventurous so it’s great to have loads right on your doorstep. I was fortunate enough to have some time for sightseeing and it’s only a 7minute walk from the ferris wheel in the heart of the city. The airport shuttle stops right outside the hotel, much more convenient than a taxi and a tenth of its cost too, it cost me less than £5.50 for a single from the airport in April 2023. Sometimes housekeeping visited late in the day, which was fine since I was at the office, however they didn’t always replenish the empty shower gel / shampoo or toilet roll. I stayed in one of the newer renovated rooms, decoration was very much to my taste. I really enjoyed this hotel and would stay here again.

The hotel is located in a perfect central location near to public transport , restaurants, supermarket. Walking distance to major landmarks. Great breakfast and coffee shop , gracious service at the front desk. All said, my only remark is to pay more attention to the make-up of the rooms every day.

Very comfortable and accessible to underground, trams and bus systems. More information about entertainments and places of special interest needed.

Great hotel in perfect location. Staff were friendly and helpful. Bar is nice; not for the younger traveller of you want to party though. Perfect for couples. On the down side, it is located by a noisey road, particulary at night, so if your a light sleeper it may not suit.

Good: It turns out I had stayed at the hotel years before my stay here the other day - by chance, I booked here again thinking it was a different hotel in the area and when I stepped into the lobby, was pleasantly surprised to find out I was back! You are immediately greeted by friendly, helpful staff at the front desk and check in is quick and easy. The room I stayed in was massive with high ceiling, not to mention clean and functional and you are offered the choice of room with a street view or otherwise - I chose street view and so I also had a nice view of the city below. Speaking of, the hotel is situated very conveniently in the city - it's pretty close to several sights and attractions, shops and a tube station so as soon as you're ready to head out, you're sorted. As a side note, I also chose to have the breakfast buffet one morning and that was also good, with a big selection and a nice atmosphere. Bad: N/A

Good: Very comfortable and spacious room with a marvelous view of the city from the balcony. The bar and restaurant was welcoming and the food was excellent. The staff were friendly and professional. The buffet breakfast was lovely. The reception staff were very helpful and knowledgeable. We will return. Bad: Coffee and tea facilities in the room. Otherwise perfect.

Good: We did like the hotel location. Breakfast was delicious, there were many variations of food. We came to check in 1 hour before and the room was ready. Helpful was an option to keep our suitcase (free of charge) in the hotel lobby, on the date of check out, so we didn’t have to carry it all day with us.

I loved the historic feel of the Hotel. Very clean and recently updated. Location is awesome. Easy access to everywhere. Room was perfect. We had the Jr Suite., corner location with two balconies. Bed was so comfortable. We are returning to Budapest later this year and will stay here again. The Breakfast Buffett was very convenient, but disappointing on some days. Still, I recommend the Breakfast Buffet

Friendliness of the staff. The hotel restaurant has excellent food at reasonable prices. McDonald is located next to the hotel. Supermarket and dm are 3 mins walk. However, the room that we stayed in was very old and outdated.

You can go in many places by foot, Parlament, market Hall, restaurants, fashion street, and don't miss to visit Margaret Island. You can go Elizabeth Bridge and pass between buda and pest. Bad: The buffet breakfast everyday the same items.

Great location, pretty big rooms and friendly staff upon arrival, what else to ask for a hotel. The rooms were very spacious, a bit noisy due to being located in the city center, but nothing unbearable. We really liked it as it was cozy and comfortable. The reception staff was very very nice too.

Superior rooms are great. Standard rooms are a bit dated. Location is fantastic but is noisy as it's in city center. Rooms: Rooms were very hot, opening the windows helped. Walkability: Very close to many dining and entertainment options.

Good: We loved the breakfast, very good range of foods. The room was big and spacious and the lobby was very pretty. Bad: We booked the room with a double bed, but there were just two normal sized beds stuck together, which were on wheels, so they moved easily, therefore we couldn't really sleep together. The room had a little bit of dust, but nothing too mayor.

Good: Everything was fine expect the requirement to sign up for newsletters before being allowed WiFi access. Bad: WiFi access requirements. The overly large chair in the room was a blockage to movement.

Good: 1. Fantastic location in the Heart of Pest. 2. Hop on Hop off stop right across the road. 3. Walking distance to most sites. Great Heritage Hotel at very a reasonable price. Bad: Breakfast was great but a bit on the expensive side.

Good: Location was brilliant, the building beautiful and room was very comfortable Bad: one of the blinds in the room was broken, not a big deal for us though

Good: quirky old fashioned hotel. clean beds could be bit more comfortable. the location was fantastic. Metro just outside the hotel, tram station within 5 min walk . Bus to and from the Airport again 5 min away next to the tram station. restaurants bars all within a few minutes walk. the reception staff are fantastic so helpful can’t fault them. Bad: Breakfast was very basic not much variety. was the same for the 4 days we were there. lots of other places around again within walking distance McDonald’s next door to the hotel.

Good: great location. 10 to 15 minutes walk to most tourist places, but one can access subway or tram right next to hotel. Room size is very large. We did not eat breakfast at hotel so no comment on food. Bad: a bit dated, but it is a historical hotel.
