Good: Brilliant location Bad: I liked everything

Good: We did like the hotel location. Breakfast was delicious, there were many variations of food. We came to check in 1 hour before and the room was ready. Helpful was an option to keep our suitcase (free of charge) in the hotel lobby, on the date of check out, so we didn’t have to carry it all day with us.

Good: Breakfast and location were excellent. Beautiful old building with antique furnishings.

Good location, cheap hotel. Old fassion hotel. For 4* I would like to see a little bit more, like slippers ... Rooms: Big with a city view. Has no slippers and no kettle. Walkability: Close to the center. Bus 100E from and to the airport stops next to the hotel. Very convinient Food & drinks: Good breakfast

I loved the historic feel of the Hotel. Very clean and recently updated. Location is awesome. Easy access to everywhere. Room was perfect. We had the Jr Suite., corner location with two balconies. Bed was so comfortable. We are returning to Budapest later this year and will stay here again. The Breakfast Buffett was very convenient, but disappointing on some days. Still, I recommend the Breakfast Buffet

Friendliness of the staff. The hotel restaurant has excellent food at reasonable prices. McDonald is located next to the hotel. Supermarket and dm are 3 mins walk. However, the room that we stayed in was very old and outdated.

Good: Breakfast - very good Location - great (bus stop for 100e bus from/to airport). Very easy to get to most interesting places, some of tgem by foot. Stuff - very nice, friendly and helpfull!!! I had a very plasant stay!!! Bad: Since it is 4* hotel, I think it would be nice to have an electrical kettle and slippers. Breakfast was very good but same all days.

Good: Nice room with tv, fridge, towels, In a good location, metro, buses, even bus no 100E direct from the airport stops opposite the hotel. Nice area. You can go in many places by foot, Parlament, market Hall, restaurants, fashion street, and don't miss to visit Margaret Island. You can go Elizabeth Bridge and pass between buda and pest. Bad: The buffet breakfast everyday the same items.

Clean room, comfortable bed. Excellent restaurant for dinner and breakfast. Hungarians excel at cakes and the selection at the restaurant is perfect. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Great location, pretty big rooms and friendly staff upon arrival, what else to ask for a hotel. The rooms were very spacious, a bit noisy due to being located in the city center, but nothing unbearable. We really liked it as it was cozy and comfortable. The reception staff was very very nice too.

Superior rooms are great. Standard rooms are a bit dated. Location is fantastic but is noisy as it's in city center. Rooms: Rooms were very hot, opening the windows helped. Walkability: Very close to many dining and entertainment options.

Good: We loved the breakfast, very good range of foods. The room was big and spacious and the lobby was very pretty. Bad: We booked the room with a double bed, but there were just two normal sized beds stuck together, which were on wheels, so they moved easily, therefore we couldn't really sleep together. The room had a little bit of dust, but nothing too mayor.

Good: Everything was fine expect the requirement to sign up for newsletters before being allowed WiFi access. Bad: WiFi access requirements. The overly large chair in the room was a blockage to movement.

Good: 1. Fantastic location in the Heart of Pest. 2. Hop on Hop off stop right across the road. 3. Walking distance to most sites. Great Heritage Hotel at very a reasonable price. Bad: Breakfast was great but a bit on the expensive side.

Good: Location was brilliant, the building beautiful and room was very comfortable Bad: one of the blinds in the room was broken, not a big deal for us though

Good: quirky old fashioned hotel. clean beds could be bit more comfortable. the location was fantastic. Metro just outside the hotel, tram station within 5 min walk . Bus to and from the Airport again 5 min away next to the tram station. restaurants bars all within a few minutes walk. the reception staff are fantastic so helpful can’t fault them. Bad: Breakfast was very basic not much variety. was the same for the 4 days we were there. lots of other places around again within walking distance McDonald’s next door to the hotel.

Good: great location. 10 to 15 minutes walk to most tourist places, but one can access subway or tram right next to hotel. Room size is very large. We did not eat breakfast at hotel so no comment on food. Bad: a bit dated, but it is a historical hotel.

Food & drinks: The service at the hotel restaurant was not great.Unkind waiter who ignores guests.

Good: Classy Hotel, very comfortable facilities, staff were very helpful and polite, location is excellent, room was lovely, decor so tasty in an old world fashion. I would highly recommend this hotel.

The spot was the most convenient for exploring Budapest, the staff was really friendly and helpful, the room was beautiful, clean, and warm and everything was great, we loved our stay.

Good: The staff was very charming and friendly. The hotel was recently renovated which upped the comfort of the rooms by a lot. The hotel still preserved all of it's old school charm but offers the comfort of a modern resort. There is a very charming quiet cafe on site with great confections and affordable pricing. The area is extremely central with 2 large supermarkets within a 3 minute walk from the hotel. They have all the amenities you'd expect such as luggage room, cloak room, etc. There is also a very authentic old school lobby where you can chill before going out to the city. The staff speak several languages and are generally very helpful. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for an authentic stay in Budapest. Travellers interested in a nostalgic experience in a hotel with a lot of history should not hesitate. I loved the fact that the TV in the room has a truly international offering with state media from Hungary, Italy, Spain, China, Russia, Germany. You really don't get this in most hotels nowadays. It was one of the best stays we've had in a hotel in quite a while and I travel a lot for work. Would love to return here in the future. Bad: Some of the floors are still under renovation. The hallway carpet is not regularly vacuumed, they were a bit dirty. The cleaning lady was very nosy and came into our room twice during a 1 night stay. For most people this is something very out of line and would warrant a chat with the hotel manager. Unfortunately this is not that uncommon at many hotels so we didn't make a thing out of it. Luckily she backed off after I confronted her on this in a friendly manner.

Good: The location is great! easy access to everywhere there is a metro station just next to it but no need to use we walked everywhere. The breakfast is also good with various options. A very cost effective hotel! Bad: There are some comments about house keeping but it was pretty clear. the building is old for that reason some room equipments are old fashioned but to me all is fine!

Bad: Parking that hotel recommended (4min walk) is twice the price compared to the parking at museum (5min walk). Also parking at museum is normal garage parkin, while recommendation from hotel is robotized platform lift parking that you have to wait when you pickup the car.

Good: Historical authentic hotel on an excellent location., just 10 min to the central shopping street. Super comfortable bed, cosy and warm room. The bus from the airport stops in front “of the door”. To the direction “Airport”, the stop is 700 m from the hotel. We had a festive Christmas lunch at the Astoria cafe, amazing food and experience.

Great price, location, service, and shower pressure (important, right?!). This is an old European style hotel with beautiful ornate decor. Simple, but classy. No silly over the top fancy luxuries, but I personally don't travel to a city like Budapest to sit in a hotel. Perfect location. The hotel is walking distance from some of the best sights in the city, and it's also only a 5 minute walk from the 100 bus, which means getting to and from the airport is a breeze. All of the staff was extremely friendly and professional, often going above and beyond. I give it five stars and highly recommend it to any traveler looking for that charming, old European experience. Rooms: Small but comfortable. Nearby activities: Too many to list. Walkability: Walking distance from many of the greatest locations/sights in Budapest. Food & drinks: A restaurant is attached/adjacent to the hotel.

Perfect location for exploring city. 100E bus from airport stops in front. Metro just outside and 2 stops from rail station or short taxi. Walking distance to center and river. Tour bus stop across the street. Lobby and restaurant has old world elegance. Only negative is room furnishings could use upgrade. Otherwise, room and bath spacious for Europe. Definitely a good enjoyable place to stay. Everything close and area safe.

Great accessible location. Ornate yet clean room, staff very amenable and helpful in assisting us getting around the city for a short break. We were assisted by a staff member not usually on the front desk, but boy was he knowledgable on the city sights and the easiest ways to explore the capital. I would definitely recommend this hotel and their staff who went over and beyond for us during our stay. The food in the hotels restaurant, both breakfast and dinner were the cherry on top or should I say the sour cherry on top as the Hungarians say.
