Good: We spent the NYE in the Danubius Health Spa Resort in Bük on All inclusive basis. At first impression I can say the hotel to be dated a bit but the overall we had great exprience. Two floors of the hotel was under construction so the hotel (restaurant and spa facilities) were not crowded. The service and the employers were very kind and polite that seemed to be a great plus for the hotel. The food was also above overall 4* hotels in Hungary - pointing on the taste and variety. Bad: Nothing special to mention. The staff did their best to satisfy all the guests. The service is great & the employers were very friendly.

The front office manager asked us when we checked in if we would mind getting a free upgrade - we got lucky with the room assignment:) Although we felt a bit sorry for the bar and restaurant staff, they work very hard and some of the other guests don't really seem to know how to say please or thank you.

Good: Our third time here, with my elderly mother. The pools are excellent for swimming and relaxing, hotel is clean and comfortable, staff nice and helpful. So much food and verity of it, and always a gluten-free option. Tennis, squash, ping pong. Very relaxing few days!

We travel a lot but this is one place we always return to for weekend of all inclusive relaxation (for reasonable price). On our 7th visit and definitelly not the last. Great pools, delicious food and also ways to be active if you feel like it (tennis, squash, table tennis, minigolf, bowling etc). The exterior and interior are bit dated but for me it just adds a nostalgic feel.

Good: nice place for few days of relaxation, spa food and opportunities are fine Bad: I had already expressed my doubts in a previous review regarding the management of restaurant reservations and I was told on this site that reservations were only possible for dinner and only from 18 to 18.20. The second evening of my stay I went to the restaurant and found almost table occupied except a small one, near the buffet, fine for me. Being 18.50 I picked up the sticker " reservation" (no handicap sticker on site) and showed it to the waiter saying to him the time was over. The waiter,a big sweaty man, looked at me with annoyance, badly repeated me to wait and, after a while allows me to sit down. Fortunately I have not seen him again, I hope it was returned to Sarvar to refresh body and mind! The next day, to be sure, I went to the front desk to ask about and was told that reservations were only possible for dinner, not for breakfast, not for lunch. This is absolutely untruth! The "reserved" sticker were on many tables for all meals (only one was for a disabled person) and people often arrived more than an hour late. The height was when I realised that a reserved table (num. 8) had also a nice white tablecloth and not the usual cutlery like the others. This a shameful way to behave, there are obviously very important guest and very common guest. The twosome on table 8 had no mobility problem, no be part of a group and they were staying on the 6th floor like me. Now I expect an answer from the Hotel telling me my comments will be forwarded to the head of the department, but I'm sure on my return in July nothing will have changed!!!!

Good: I'm happy with everything and I think it's a great place to spend relaxing days, staff, spa, food, rooms, entertainment, everything very very good Bad: as a habitual guest (with 4 stays this year and already 2 reservertions for 2018) I would like to make notes for a better service. it is not possible that in a 4 stars hotel one of the two lifts stays out of order for 5 days ( there were long queues even though we were told that we could use the elevator service ) in very windy days the outdoor pool should be cleaned every morning in a consonant manner ( in the Danubius of Sarvar , for example, every morning a person cleaned the pool from the fallen leaves ) for 2 o 3 mornings the pool was really dirty, with innumerable leaves both on bottom than on the surface. many people reserve a table at the restaurant for dinner and arrive very late leaving empty tables and people looking for a place, at my request to reserve a small table as I was alone and did not want to occupy larger table, I was told I could do it only for 6 o'clock p.m., obviously the reastaurant manager , very confident of himself, does not turn around the tables, as many are empty with the "reserved" card for over 7 p.m. the hours of silence must be highlighted with specials signs in the corridors, as often people go to sleep far beyond midnight making noise e talking loudly however these are small things and I, after experiencing several hotels in the area, will continued to be a trusted customer!

I come back there a few times per year. Great place to spend 3-4 days and rest. Lovely personnel, perfect food, all inclusive service so you dont worry about anything. Delicious desserts. Swimming pools, saunas, relax room with silence. Tennis, squash, mini golf, bowling, spa center, fitness room... Great place for kids, they have separate pools for them and play rooms. Live music sometimes and some parties in the evening like bingo. I love this place

Good: the food was excelent. the staff was nice and helpful. Pools were clean and perfect. plenty of pool chairs outside. we had an easy-access room for no extra charge for my elder mother. Each room has a balcony. Fresh water bottles brought to room every day. The Wellness center was fine, with lots of massage/treatments options. Bad: The squash court and rented bikes were very basic - could be better but we still had fun!

Good: The room was standard as in other similar DHG hotels. The variety of food was really good. Interesting activities like mini golf, chess or table tenis were available. Good drinks with the all incusive offer.

I would also like to thank mr.Peter, the G.M.,who started after my complaints about people who laughed, sang and talked loud late in the night in the garden, by his intervention the problem was solved. The first thing you need to know is that the Thermal and Sport Hotel, Buk , is really in Bukfurdo. Confusing, well its not, Bukfurdo is a little SPA town about 5 minutes from Buk. If you look up the Hotel, you will find the address is H9740 Bukfurdo. One little thing here, very little English is spoken here. We were the only American's staying there (Jul-Aug 2005) We stayed 3 weeks.Its a four star hotel. Facilities: Unbelievable.Indoor pool, a thermal pool, then another indoor pool, that goes to the outdoor pool, a jacuzzi, sauna, steam bath. Rooms were great, with a balcony overlooking a fantastic outside area, with a pool, tennis courts(4), miniture golf area, outside eating area and about 100 lounge chairs, spread over a great garden area.There are 2 indoor tennis courts, a bowling alley (2 lanes) squash court, fitness center and a golf course next door. The hotel is a SPA with a number of trreatments available.The meals were outstanding, music during dinner, a very nice bar/lounge area. The workout room was open 24 hours a day. There was also a lounge area upstairs on the 2nd floor. There is a weekly schedule of free activities (its written in Hungarian and German) A great big bathrope is part of the service. Unique Quality: The indoor pool was just fantastic. The second indoor pool that ran into the outdoor pool was also great. The outside grounds were beautiful. This was aSPA that had 3 weeks for the price of two. Its run by the Danubius which also ran the hotel in Budapest. The prices were a little cheaper than the one in Budapest. The meals were great, 2 meals per day (buffet breakfast , dinner) lunch was soup and was free. Also the 3 or 2 weeks, gave you 15 SPA treatments per week. Price: about $1100-$1300 per person, depending on when you traveled. Did not include transportation. We used air miles to Vienna and made arrangement with Tradesco for transportation to and from the hotel to airport. Our tennis group has in the hotel extremely felt at ease and work assessments! Our package with Tennistrainern was from the value for money excellent! Everything great!

I would definitely recomend this hotel for everybodyv who is looking for great leisure spa area, excellent gastronomy, frienly staff and nice surroundings. It is ideal place also for families with children. Everyday animation program for children is considered as a standard.

Good: Были в этом отеле уже не первый раз и как всегда все отлично. Качество услуг ни сколько не ухудшилось, а можно сказать даже улучшается. За прошедший год полностью переделали парковку, облагородили и улучшили. Отремонтировали второй этаж. Все чисто и комфортно. В отеле в основном отдыхают люди старшего возраста или семьи с детьми. Поэтому это очень хорошее место для тихого и комфортного отдыха. Что касается питания, то в основном все очень вкусно и достаточно разнообразно. На ужин всегда было предложение и мяса и рыбы. Всегда есть предложение нескольких диетических блюд. Ещё большой плюс, что в какое бы время вы не пришли на завтрак, обед или ужин есть весь ассортимент и в достаточном количестве. Все постоянно докладывают. Единственное, в зависимости скорее всего от повара, иногда блюда, на ваш вкус, были слишком уж пересоленные. Bad: Анимация для детей. Она как бы и есть и в тоже время ее нет. На мой взгляд, аниматоры должны ходить и завлекать детей на разные мероприятия, а не на оборот. Мы были в мае, может в летние месяца как-то по другому, более живее.

Good: Snídaně byla skvělá i veškeré jídlo, menší vyber, ale chutné a dobře ochucené. Pokoje prostorné, spa a wellness bezkonkurenční. Víno je krabicové, některé typy ale byly i chutné. Bad: Na pokojích nefungovala klimatizace. Ani na jednom ze dvou, které jsme obsadili. Kolečko regulace nefungovalo. Klimatizace foukala pořad stejně. Ale bylo možné vyvetrat přes balkon.

Bad: Matrace na postelích - příliš měkké 🤷‍♀️

Good: Wir hatten ein EXECUTIVE Doppelzimmer - gartenseitig, mit kl. Balkon, welches den Anschein hatte, neu renoviert zu sein! War ausreichend groß, hell, mit Kühlschrank, Handtuchwechsel war täglich. Essen in Buffetform, war klein (2 Suppen, 3 Hauptspeisen, Beilagen, Salatbuffet) aber ausreichend, auch für die kleinen Besucher und die Veganer gab es extra Angebote! Personal war freundlich und flott beim Abräumen des Geschirres! Die Gartenanlage ist einem Park gleich, sehr schön und gepflegt! Durch die Weitläufigkeit haben sich die Gäste (denke das Hotel war aber nicht ausgebucht) im Garten schön verteilt und man hatte genügend Abstand zueinander! Der Spabereich scheint auch neu renoviert zu sein - war sauber und modern! Es gibt auch ein Kinder- und Babybecken! Bad: Die Empfangshalle und das Hauptrestaurant sind leider sehr dunkel, durch den dunkel braunen Anstrich - ein wenig helle Farbe und das Ganze wäre freundlicher!

Good: Fantastický all incluzive - celodenní výběr jídla, pití. Skvělé odpolední zmrzliny, dezerty aj. Oddělené bazény a herny pro děti. Ochotný personál. Krásná zahrada s aktivitami / mini golf, tenis, síť na badbinton, obří šachy, dáma.../,zahrádka pro živé želvy, plavecký bazén...Všude dostatek posezení i stolečků... Bad: V době, kdy jsme pobyt rezervovali, hotel inzeroval nejen welnes, ale i termály, ty však hotel již neposkytuje. Bohužel nás na to nikdo neupozornil, museli jsme si do termálních lázní zajet a přišli tak o inklusivitu pobytu s termály. Také škoda, že jsme nedostali ubytování v nově zrekonstruovaných patrech i když hotel nebyl zcela zaplněn...

Good: Zuerst einmal war einer der großen Punkte das Personal, entgegen einem anderen Hotel, welches zwar günstiger war und ich bisher jahrelang aufsuchte, war hier das Personal um ein Vielfaches freundlicher. Ein weiterer Punkt war die Ausstattung- Zimmer neu und modern, Wellnessbereich ebenso. Leider fehlt es noch im Eingangsbereich und ein bisschen im Badebereich, wo noch das dunkle Holz etwas drückend ist, aber nach einer kurzen Eingewöhnungsphase war das auch in Ordnung! Vor allem auch sehr sauber!!! Das Personal im Wellnessbereich ist gefühlt 24h am Putzen, was man auch sieht und merkt! Das ist sehr erfreulich! Zuletzt möchte ich mein Lib an das All-inclusive aussprechen- es war einfach köstlich und vortrefflich! Jeden Tag gab es Fisch, Hühnchen, Fleisch, und wirklich ein vielfältiges Angebot, sogar für mich waren aufgrund einer strengen Diät sogar Grapefruits(!) und vieles andere noch vorhanden . Das Buffett war so genial, dass es zwar schwerfiel, brav zu bleiben aber Gottseidank waren genug Alternativen vorhanden!!! Bravo Danubius Hotel!!! Bad: Fehlender Shuttle vom Bahnhof zum Hotel - wird viel zu teuer (pro Weg - ca 6km um 20€!!!) angeboten! Wäre beim nächsten Aufenthalt ein Thema gewesen! Massagen usw etwas überteuert im Hotel Parkplatz pro Tag (6€) zu bezahlen ist dahingehend also auch einfach fehl am Platz… das gehört doch dazu, also entsteht ein bisschen ein unangenehmes Gefühl… leider!!! Ansonsten alles sehr gut!
