Can I register through Customer Service, the Central Reservation Office, or at the hotel’s reception?
No, due to the provisions of GDPR, the hotel’s employees may not register guests for the program; all guests must register by themselves.

I haven’t received an information e-mail about the new program
We have sent an information e-mail about phasing out the Danubius Europoints program and the possibility of re-registration to the Danubius Friends program to all active Danubius Europoints members who have shared their e-mail address with us when registering.
What level will I have in the new program if I have had a blue / silver / gold card in the Danubius Europoints program?
Members of the Danubius Europoints program have received an e-mail from us informing them about the new loyalty program and the possibility of re-registration. They can register for the Danubius Friends program using the link in this e-mail. If the registration is complete within 60 days following this, members who had a Blue or Silver card in the Danubius Europoints program will be added to Friend 2 level, while members with a Gold card will start at Friend 3 level. If registration takes place after 60 days, the Danubius Friends member can start the program at Friend 1 level.
How long is the former Danubius EuroPoints (DEP) membership valid for?
The Danubius Europoints (DEP) loyalty membership program will be terminated, and will be replaced by the Danubius Friends loyalty program. During the so-called transition period, former Danubius Europoints members can re-register for the Danubius Friends program using the email address they previously shared and during this period, they can simultaneously enjoy the benefits of the new program and redeem the points they have previously earned in the Danubius Europoints program but have not yet used. Final deadline for re-registration: 15 August 2025 23:59.
How long can I use my points on my Danubius card?
Points can still be redeemed in the Danubius Europoints program for 270 days from the launch of the new loyalty program. The final deadline for this is 13 March 2026 23:59. While using the Danubius Friends program, points can be used according to the DEP catalogue (for example, one night can be requested if the sufficient number of DEP points is available.) Points not redeemed until 13 March 2026 will be lost. Points cannot be exchanged for cash, and cannot be transferred to the new loyalty program. No discount applies to point values listed in the DEP points catalogue.
I have 200 points left which I cannot redeem according to the point redemption catalogue. What happens to my points?
Points can only be redeemed according to the point redemption catalogue, if the member possesses the full point value. Points not redeemed until 13 March 2026 shall be erased, cannot be exchanged for cash, and cannot be transferred to the new loyalty program.
Can I still collect points in Danubius Europoints after my current stay?
Points will continue to accumulate for 90 days after the start of the new loyalty program, until 14 September 2025 23:59. If the stay exceeds this date, no point is collected for any nights following 14 September, but points will be collected for the nights preceding that date. If the stay begins no later than 14 September, the room upgrade or early check-in and check-out applies to that stay (depending on availability)
I have a Danubius Silver partner card, how long can I use the discounts related to this?
The 15% discount and the F&B discounts can be used for 90 days from the start of the new loyalty program (until Friday, 14 September 2025 23:59).
I have a Danubius Silver/Gold card, how long can I use the related advantages? (for free room upgrade and early check-in / late check-out)
The advantages of the Danubius Silver/Gold card can be used for 90 days from the start of the new loyalty program (until Friday, 14 September 2025 23:59).
Do gift cards and accommodation voucher purchases count in the Danubius Friends loyalty program?
No points can be collected in the Danubius Friends program, but in the case of room reservations made with accommodation vouchers we provide the exclusive rewards if the guest is a Discount Program member and has indicated his or her membership in the Danubius Friends program by providing the membership ID when booking.
Do amounts spent in the restaurant and on fitness room access still count in the loyalty program?
Amounts spent in the restaurant and on fitness room access do not count in the Danubius Friends loyalty program, only nights spent in the hotels do. These will determine the membership level, as well.
Where can I get my physical loyalty program card?
There is no physical card in the program and no physical card needs to be presented. After joining, we will send the Danubius Friends membership ID. The advantages offered by the program can be claimed any time by providing this number. This virtual card will not be available upon kick-off of the program, but will be made available to guests later.
Will I have a PIN code?
There is no physical card in the program and there is no PIN code either.
Where can I see my membership data and where can I access my discounts and program advantages?
The Danubius Friends members can use their e-mail address and password to access their account via the Danubius Friends Portal, where, when booking online, they can access discounts corresponding to their membership level.
Where can I see which level I’m on?
Information can be found on the Danubius Friends Portal.
Does the loyalty program of Ensana hotels also change?
No, those hotels continue to have the Ensana Life program which is completely independent of the Danubius Friends loyalty program. There is no connection between the two programs, guests can register separately in both of them.
Are Radisson Blu Béke Hotel and Hilton Budapest hotels also members of the loyalty program?
No, the Danubius Friends loyalty program only covers the Danubius hotels in Hungary.
Will this loyalty program also apply in London?
No, the loyalty program is currently not available in London.
Is my membership transferrable?
No, membership is nominal, but it is possible to book with the extra booking discount also for people traveling with you. However, discounts may only be used in the presence of the Danubius Friends member.
How long is my membership valid for?
For as long as you wish to be our member.
What should I do if I am a registered Danubius Friends member but I no longer want to be one?
We are sorry to see you decide to leave the program, but of course you can do so by sending us an e-mail to friends-customerservice@danubiushotels.com. We would appreciate it if you could tell us why you made this decision so that we can improve our services. Please note that we will not be able to restore any progress you have made in the past if you change your mind later.
If I booked a room but only joined the Danubius Friends discount program later and I indicate this to Central Reservation or at the reception upon check-in, can I still receive the extra booking discount for my booking?
No, we can provide the discounts after registration. However, the discount can be claimed for any bookings after that.
When booking, if I do not wish to book online but by e-mail or phone call, do I need to indicate my Danubius Friends membership to Central Reservation? What identification do I need to provide?
Please always indicate your Danubius Friends membership by providing the membership ID. This can be accessed by logging in on the Danubius Friends portal using the e-mail address and password. If this information is not available, the Reservation service will try to identify the member using the e-mail address provided upon registration, but the member must make sure to indicate the Danubius Friends membership, because afterwards we cannot provide the discount.
I would like to book on the website as a loyalty program member. Where can I indicate my membership so that I can get the % discount?
Following registration, the Danubius Friends member must access the Danubius Friends portal using their e-mail address and password. Once logged in, in the user account the member can access the discounted prices / exclusive offers available based on the loyalty program level.
I arrive with a larger group, how many rooms can I apply the extra booking discount to?
The member can apply the discount to the member’s own room + 3 rooms. However, the exclusive rewards will only be provided to the Danubius Friends member who made the booking.
If a guest traveling with me is also a Danubius Friends member, will that member not receive the exclusive rewards if I made the booking for them too?
Within one reservation, we can only provide the exclusive rewards to the person booking. We recommend that the Danubius Friends member traveling with you make their own reservation separately.
I cannot travel right now. Can I book for my friends using my discount?
No, the extra booking discount only applies to the Friends loyalty program member. Discounts may only be used in the presence of the program member.
I booked through an agent (Booking.com, on Expedia, Szállás.hu, etc.), but I have registered in the Danubius Friends loyalty program. Do I get the extra booking discount and exclusive rewards right away?
Danubius Friends is designed for individuals booking directly. When booking through agents (travel agencies, tour operators, such as Expedia, Booking.com, Szallas.hu), we do not provide extra booking discounts and rewards, even to Danubius Friends members.
Can the items included in the exclusive rewards be bought?
No, these items are only available as part of the exclusive rewards granted to members of the Friends program.
Are my rewards transferrable?
Rewards apply to the Danubius Friends member who made the reservation. Vouchers and discounts can be used by the Danubius Friends member personally.
If I booked other rooms besides my own, are exclusive rewards granted for each room?
Only the Danubius Friends loyalty program member will be entitled to the exclusive rewards, which will be prepared in that member’s room only.
What do I need to know about the Gastro voucher?
The voucher may only be used once, before its expiry date, and only in the restaurants and bars at the hotel where the member is staying. It is not redeemable for cash, it cannot be combined with other discounts and cannot be replaced if lost. If the purchase amount is lower than the face value of the voucher, the remaining balance will be forfeit. Please inform the staff in advance if you wish to use a voucher for payment. The voucher expiry date and place of use are indicated on the voucher. We cannot compensate unredeemed vouchers, and we cannot replace lost or damaged vouchers.
What do I need to know about the Wellness voucher?
The voucher may only be used once, before its expiry date, and only in the spa section at the hotel where the member is staying. It is not redeemable for cash, it cannot be combined with other discounts and cannot be replaced if lost. If the purchase amount is lower than the face value of the voucher, the remaining balance will be forfeit. Please inform the staff in advance if you wish to use a voucher for payment. The voucher expiry date and place of use are indicated on the voucher. We cannot compensate unredeemed vouchers, and we cannot replace lost or damaged vouchers.
I forgot to redeem my voucher, will its value be compensated later?
The voucher cannot be exchanged for cash.
If the voucher is lost or damaged, can you replace it?
No, we cannot replace lost or damaged vouchers.
If I only use a part of the full value of the voucher, will I get the rest back in cash?
No, if the purchase amount is lower than the face value of the voucher, the remaining balance will be forfeit.
I left my exclusive rewards in the room when I checked out. Can you send it to me?
If any of the exclusive rewards is left in the room after departure, the hotel will not be able to post or hand them over later.
How is the level upgraded? How do I move to Friend 2 or Friend 3 level?
Every new entrant who becomes a Danubius Friends loyalty program member starts at level one (Friend 1). The member can access the extra 10% booking discount available here and the exclusive rewards depending on the number of nights without any limit in time. Following a completed stay (even for one night), the member will automatically move to Friends 2 level for 365 days. At this level, the member gets a 15% extra booking discount. If the member misses the 365 days, the member will be moved back to Friend 1 level. If the member has another completed stay within 365 days, the member will be moved to Friend 3 level for 365 days, where we provide other extras. If the member misses the 365 days, the member will be moved back to Friend 2 level for another 365 days.
