Good: Great location – we could easily walk to all the main attractions. The bed was very comfortable, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Bad: Breakfast could be better. There’s a wide variety, but the quality of the products isn't very impressive. We were a bit disappointed. The room was quite noisy. We could hear people shouting outside in the middle of the night.

Good: Location was top class, could not have been more central if we tried! Right beside the tube station and bus stop so it’s so easy to get around the city and to/from airport! Lots of shops and restaurants within walking distance. You’re in the hustle and bustle of the city and it still managed to be quiet at night time with no disruption. Rooms are well furnished and lots of storage. The rooms and facilities are all very modern. Could not recommend danubius more, I’ve convinced a few family and friends to book already 😊 Bad: We had a little run in with the in house jeweller, but other than that all the staff were lovely! 😊

Really good value for money and definitely will come back again (: Bad: Its a little bit hard to cross the streets next to the hotel since there are no crossings at the area so we had to cross through the Metro station every time. My stay at Danubius Hotel Astoria was absolutely excellent and exceeded all expectations. The hotel offers a perfect city-center location, making it incredibly convenient for exploring Budapest, with major attractions, public transport, restaurants, and cafés all within easy walking distance. The atmosphere combines classic elegance with modern comfort, creating a refined and welcoming environment from the moment of arrival. The room was spacious, comfortable, impeccably clean, and well equipped, providing a relaxing and restful experience after a day in the city. The staff were consistently professional, courteous, and attentive, always ready to assist with a warm and genuine attitude. Overall, the stay was seamless, comfortable, and memorable, offering outstanding service, excellent value, and a truly enjoyable experience in the heart of Budapest.

Good: The location of the hotel is optimal, and the breakfast was very varied and nice (€12 if reserved in anticipation which is perfectly fair). The standard rooms are comfortable with historical elegance. The reception is ample and comfortable. Some of the staff is quite nice. Bad: For a hotel of this category, I expected better. One of our rooms lacked accessible electrical sockets, so we had to put the coffee machine on the ground to plug it in. Sometimes the water in the shower ran cold. The blinds in the room did not close so the light came in during the morning. On two days, we came back to the hotel at 4pm to find out the room had not been cleaned yet, and we had to leave the room to allow them to do so, when we wanted to rest. Most importantly for me, some of the staff was incredibly cold and dare I say almost rude, whereas others were more warm and friendly. The treatment of the reception staff changes the entire experience of a guest.

Good: Perfect location, comfortable and good standard of cleanliness.

Good: Location Heritage look and feel Room size and comfort. Bad: Was a little old in its infra - creaking main door and dark lobby.

Good: Top. Best place in Budapest that I've ever stayed. If you like character, history, excellent rooms and style, get here. Bad: It rarely happens, this hotel has no negative points to mention.

Good: The staff is very friendly and polite. The food is delicious and the antique decoration is beautiful! Bad: The beds are too narrow. The heating doesn’t work well. It takes too long to warm the room.

I totally recomand this hotel, very good location and the rooms are so beautiful and clean. They are pet friendly, we went with a Doberman and it was no problem.

Good: Fab location - easy to walk, catch buses & trains. My room was a single & very cute. Good value.

The room was very clean and with high ceiling, it was always warm, and the temperature of the water was always ideal. The morning shift receptionists were all polite but the night shift receptionists couldnt help us with some important information. But the cleaners were very good at their job! About the location it was in the center of the city, this specific hotel it has every transport next to it, trams, metro, buses, electric scooters even bikes.

Enjoyed our stay in Dec 25. Staff were lovely and very helpful. Would stay agin. Old facility so if you want a new mod con building, this probably wouldn't be for you, but if you like a bit of history in a building, then Danubius Astoria is for you. Excellent location.we stayed on the 5th floor so not too much noise from traffic.

We had a good experience here. The room was modern and clean . Situated in the center of the city , you can easily find all the groceries store or restaurants nearby I recommend this hotel

Good: The hotel is a step back into the grandeur of a different age. The rooms are a little dated but have all the pre requisites and have a charm of their own - also spacious. The public areas are beautiful. Location is excellent too .. 10 min from Vorosmarty Square, 5 min from ruin bars , and with a metro stop outside. Also on a main route with good connections to the airport. Bad: Not a problem for us but bathroom / showers were a little dated

Great stay with friends , breakfast plentiful and a great variety to suit all tastes . Lovely large room and bathroom , spotlessly cleaned . A little too warm for us but easy solved with the aircon . Great stay an a fabulous location.

Bad: Breakfast finishing at 10.00 rather than 10.30 and no on-site bar. The reception area could have been dressed up more for Christmas.

What a superb hotel - excellent location within easy walking distance of many of the attractions of Budapest. The hotel is elegant with very comfortable rooms, superb breakfast offerings , a lovely cafe and really helpful staff and I could not fault it.
