Good: My room was spacious with a comfortable bed, good shower and good aircon. It is a good location just a few minutes walk to the nightlife, right next to the metro, and close enough to the main railway if you want to walk.

Good: Brillant location right in the centre easy walk to all the sights no need for taxis at all. The staff were all very helpful and polite, if I come to Budapest again I will book this hotel. Bad: Only one tiny niggle would be better if they had smart TVs in the rooms so I could log into my own Netflix etc,because you can’t get any English tv but that’s a tinny niggle wouldn’t stop me coming again.

Good wifi, enough sockets, Bad: The buffet breakfast (normally 17€, a "promotion' at 13€, was disappointing in many ways. Slow and poor quality coffee, muesli ran out and stayed out for 3 of 4 days, cheap baked goods. Someone has decided to run the low cost, low quality version when there is no need.

Good: Spacious, clean room. Location close to lots of facilities. Very handy for drop off from 100E airport bus. Plenty of choice for breakfast. Good: Great central location with a nice ambience. Metro just steps away and easy access from the airport as the 100e stops immediately opposite. Bad: The only thing I can criticise is the fact that the hot water took ages for it to find its way through the pipes.

This property, once outstanding, now shows signs of wear and would benefit from targeted maintenance. The staff remains exceptionally helpful and attentive throughout the stay. Guest rooms are spacious and furnished in a classic style; however, the carpets require more thorough cleaning, and the air-conditioning units need better calibration to cope effectively with summer heat. Several minor, easily addressable issues currently prevent this hotel from delivering an excellent overall experience. With modest improvements, the property could readily return to its former high standard.

Hotel Danubius exceeded my expectations. Great location and easy access to the airport and train station via public transportation. The hotel looks impressive the minute you walk in. The lobby is big with old fashioned furniture and so is the breakfast room with plenty of food to choose from. Everything about the hotel looked royal to me. The hotel rooms are also cozy and decorated in old fashioned style. However, there is a newer section of the hotel with modern rooms and that's what we had. I was amazed by clever design of the bathroom, plenty of closet storage, refrigerator and the whole room was awesome and very modern looking. I don't know about the other rooms but ours wasn't facing the main street and it was very quiet. I would definitely stay there again.

The Hotel cleaning staff, and Guest services were very helpful, and responsive. The pillows were not very fluffy; they could use better quality pillows. Also, the carpet in the room could use a good carpet cleaning. The street view from our room was beautiful. Location was great, close to all City attractions and amenities.

Good: The room was really beautiful, and the view was amazing too!! The only issue was that the bathroom wasn’t cleaned properly, and there were hairs left behind from previous guests. Bad: There were hairs from previous guests in the bathroom. The reception staff was friendly, although the overall experience there was a little strange, to be honest. Centrally located with old world charm. Airport Express drops you off right in front of the hotel. Breakfast buffet was very nice. Walk to all the sites.

Good: A beautiful hotel with fantastic staff. The location allowed us to walk where we want to go. At night we ate at the hotel restaurant and our waiter Josef was exceptional.

Stayed at Astoria for 3 nights with breakfast included. I must say the front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent, good choices and the location was convenient. The only thing I didn’t like was there was no phone or fridge in the room.

Good: Belle Epoche Hotel with amazing atmosphere. Perfect location to everything. Amazing breakfast buffet (add on), so many choices. We loved the aircon and the ambiance. Bad: A bit gross as there were long black hairs on the bathroom floor on arrival. Carpet and furniture had wear and tear but acceptable.

The location is excellent. The air conditioning is great because it can be noisy at times at night. So you don't have to have the windows open. Felt our room could do with some TLC. There was a broken dressing table. Tape around the top of the windows. Generally the rooms looked tired. Cleanliness of room wasn't great. Hit and miss is the phrase I'd use. Breakfast, had plenty of options. Not easy to get hot water. The machines only gave warm water. Didn't get much help from the Staff on duty. Could be a language problem. Which i am the foreigner. But the staff didn't seem that alert. A shame because the Hotel could offer so much more

Good: The location. Breakfast was a little pricy and hasn’t been changed at all from day to day, but a nice variety of food and satisfies. Bad: The mattress was bad. It seem to be broken, and you feel like falling a side at night. The pillows also were uncomfortable and old and need an urgent replacement.

Very Edwardian look but first class rooms. Staff brilliant and very helpful. Especially the waiting staff in the restaurant. We arrived at 20:40 all hungry I asked if the kitchen was still serving and was told yes till 21:00. Got into the restaurant at 20:55, the manager and waiter were both friendly and served us happily. Cleaners were all very nice.

I really enjoyed the smooth check-in and professionalism with customer service. Location was ideal, 10 metres from metro red line, 300 metres from blue line metro, supermarkets nearby and Dohamy synagogue very close. Breakfast was good.

Good: The Danubia Astoria is an elegant reminder of Hungary's glory days of the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Some of the furnishings are old but in good condition. The immediate neighborhood is a little on the gritty side, but the location is amazingly convenient, with subway, bus and tram stops all just outside the front door. Staff were uniformly kind, pleasant and helpful. The breakfast buffet was good. Bad: My only real complaint is that the shower temperature tended to swing wildly between hot and cold. Other than that, there is a bit of traffic noise and exhaust fume air as one would expect being in the middle of a major city.
