Brilliant location and very friendly staff. Would recommend to anyone staying in Budapest. One negative would be none of the plug sockets in the lobby area worked the day we was leaving when we wanted to charge our phones before leaving to the airport.

Good: Great hotel in easy walking distance to tourist spots. Local cafes pubs and restaurants around each corner. The hotel breakfast was delicious. Make sure you get a reasonable rate under 100 Euros. The room was small and staff had to be reminded about cleaning. Bad: Things just didn’t get done until you asked. No fridge, no stream tv and we had to ask tea/coffee top ups. Also had to get someone to clean the room. We stayed 6 nights. I believe we also have to make our own beds. Not a big deal but small things count at the price we paid.

Good: The Danubius is in a good location. Very close to metro and trams, lots of restaurants and shops. it is walking distance from where the walking tours start. The room was very clean. We bought the breakfast and it is quite good - the food is fresh and there is a wide assortment of breads, cereals, veggies, fruits and hot food. The staff are super helpful Bad: The room is very small - so be prepared - there is no coffee machine - just a tiny kettle. That said the cost is reasonable and we don't spend much time in the room except to sleep so It really was not an issue for us

Located in the heart of Pest, the rooms are brand new. The hotel provides excellent breakfast, served by very attentive and helpful staff. We will come again.

Good: This hotel has a great location. It is nearly updated. We had a window facing the garden. Our issue was they did not have air-conditioning and the windows barely open. This is going to be a huge issue in the summertime if they don’t get that fixed.

Lovely hotel situated within a five minute walk of several bars,cafes, restaurants, very clean and the rooms were a nice size also the staff very friendly and helpful

Good: Being in Budapest, I choose this hotel. Very nice place. In the central part of the city. Subway, buses, airport connection. Everything is nearby. Many restaurants and sightseeing places also nearby. Very friendly people. Rooms were renovated, also the entrance of the hotel. Looks nice and cosy. Street is not so noisy, nice view from the windows. Good place to stay with kids also, near the hotel there is a nice park. Absolutely recommend. Bad: It would be great to have information how to call administration. There is telephone, but no instructions how to call to administration. It would be a good idea to install a ramp at the entrance. The step is quite small, but considering the recent renovation of the entrance area, it would have made sense to include a ramp. It would make it much easier to bring in a suitcase. Since it’s already very convenient to move luggage around inside the hotel, a small, neat ramp at the entrance would be very appropriate.

This is a review for Danubius Hotel Hungaria, as the original Hotel is being renovated and I was offered a free transfer. Everything was great, thank you very much for your hospitality!

Good: The hotel has its benefits and problems. The biggest benefit is the location, easy access to everything and right in the city center. The staff was also very nice and accommodating. The room was decently sized and the stay was definitely worth the money, even with the problems listed below. Bad: The hotel is very dated. The room had a lot of old age stains and holes and so on. The bathroom had a serious mould smell as well. Overall, the place is very old and you can see why the cost as it is. Breakfast is not worth the money.

Good: The location is great, the staff is great. The window in the room didn't open, I asked to change it, they immediately changed it for a better one. The breakfasts are normal.

Good: Great location, pleasant reception and dining room staff. A warm room and bathroom. Bad: Poor bathroom which had a smell of drains. Shower had only one grab handle and was very cramped.

We arrived early in the morning, the staff was kind enough to let us check in early with a surcharge of 15€. I thought it was the best decision after a 7 hours bus ride!😆

Good: The location is excellent — close to two different underground stations, with all major sights easily accessible on foot. There are also plenty of great restaurants and bars nearby, making it very convenient. My room was quiet and tidy, which made it perfect for the purpose of my business stay. The staff were polite and helpful. Breakfast offered a very good variety of food and beverages, which was more than satisfactory. Overall, for the price and location, this hotel offered great value, and I would happily stay here again.

If you are looking for a center location with just about what you need, this is the place. A plus for room size too! And very friendly stuff which is also important. Bad: It feels dated. Was perfect for what we need to our stay as it was only 1 day in Budapest.

I have stayed at this hotel several times, and have never been disappointed. Great location with plenty of food options, coffee shops & supermarket nearby. Nice to have a room with coffee/tea making facilities and fridge. About the only thing I would change is the addition of an in-room safe. Friendly, helpful staff. Will definitely stay again.

Stayed extra night in upgraded room but stayed in same room instead of moving for last night then wouldnt give us breakfast despite paying extra. After arguing they relented but customer service training needs to happen here. A fellow in the foyer asked us what we thought of the hotel as he had made enquiries at the counter and found person unhelpful. Shame this could be so much better.

Good: The property was very central to all the sites. I was an uber away from central or 4 stops by train. The room was clean and had everything a hotel has. Bad: I wanted to extend my stay a night and I was told that they were fully booked. They didn’t offer me any options. I went back into booking.com and booked an extra night. Not great customer service.

Good: The receptionist (i think her name was Eniko, who was just covering from other danubius property) was excellent. Very friendly , kind and helpful. I was impressed when I heard most of the staff speaking 3/4 languages. Bad: The one thing i dont like and they can improve is the shower. Feels like its old and has to change or refurbish the bathroom. Otherwise everything else was good.

Bad: Breakfast for the English could be better I realise trying to please different nationalities must be hard. Not many English people drink earl grey tea.boiled eggs are surely not hard to procure. One of the conveyer type toasters might be an asset with some sliced bread instead of continental cobs. This is an honest gripe. I still enjoyed my stay here. And would certainly stop here again.

Good: The staff at the hotel was very pleasant and helpful. The woman who checked me me was a sweetheart. Helped me organize trips and metro rides.

Good: A nice hotel located in an extraordinary location, in the centre, close to the main attractions, very close to the means of transport. Friendly staff, willing to help you with any problem.
