The Helia is a fine hotel, though it was a little further out then I would have liked, a 25 minute walk to the Chain Bridge. That said the hotel was equipped with a wonderful pool.

Only good things to say about this hotel. The spa facilities are great, we were in the pools every morning before we went sightseeing. Did look like there were more old travellers, so not a party place for youngsters. Great transport links. Only downside is that you have to pay for wireless internet, as a 4 star it should be complimentary.

The hotel & staff were excellent, but there were two minor differences from other hotels we have stayed in. (1) A bit of a problem getting extra pillows (only 1 per person) as there were no extras in the room. (2) Coffee & tea facilities provided but NO milk, we had to purchase tghis at the local super market. Otherwise a great stay, loved the pools and the sauna/steam rooms.

This hotel was superb. Well run, clean and completely stress free. Only critisism was a bit mean with tea and cofee sachets for the room.

The hotel was located just outside of the downtown area of Budapest. The hotel had there own cabs with professional drivers that gave great service at a normal rate. Watch the other taxis carefully as some will try to rip you off. The hotel was clean and the rooms were comfortable. We found the spa very useful with the steam rooms and saunas and different baths. Well worth the money, very affordable.

I have stayed at this hotel many times on business and leisure trips to Budapest. The facilities of the the hotel are excellent with a wonderfull spa on site .The staff are are all friendly and welcoming. The hotel is slightly away from the centre but there are some excellent bars and restaurants within walking distance. If you want to get to the centre you can catch the local transport, which in Budapest is cheap, efficient and first class, or catch a taxi and it will take you there in less than 5 Min's. This is a very good 4 star hotel which I would recommend for leisure and business trips to Budapest.

The staff were helpful and helped with getting cruise tickets etc. The sauna was a genuine Finnish sauna with a proper sauna stove. Hot enough, that is. There is a steam sauna too. The free use of the saunas and pools are included with the room price. An extensive selection of different treatments, massages etc. available.

it is a good hotel, enjoyed evry minute of my stay, the only hitch being the room service menu is limited.

Thanks to everyone at the Danubius HSR Helia we had a great time in Budapest. We had a great welcome on our arrival and were given a nice room. It didn't overlook the river but we can't complain at all about it. The staff were friendly and well mannered, and really couldn't do enough for us. If we ever return to Budapest, we would have no hesitation but to book again at the same hotel.

We stayed at the Danubius Helia Hotel for 4 nights and found it very clean and comfortable. We also had use of the pools which was a welcome bonus. Rooms were very well maintained and had a very high standard of cleanliness. My only fault was the pillows, we only had one each so asked at reception for another 2 but were told thay had ran out of pillows which I thought a bit like the pub with no beer. The two pillows duly arrived on our third day. We ate in both the Hotel restaurant and the cafe bar and were pleased with the food and the service in both. The hotel was in a nice quiet area with views of the River Danube. We used the metro quite a lot, it was only approx 300 metres from the hotel also the 79 bus goes to Heroes Square from just outside the hotel and there is also a metro station there. All in all we had a very enjoyable stay at this hotel and I would certainly stay there again should I return to Budapest.

The hotel was excellent, clean, quiet, with very good spa and pools. There is absolutely nothing I can complain about.

We loved our stay in Budapest, the Hotel was very close to the DAnube River, so we had nice walks everyday. It was a little distant to the centrum, but we enjoyed our walks. They had a piano player everynight, the pools with thermal waters and the gym were great after a busy day.

We choosed Danubius Helia because of all the different treatments including sauna, warmwater pools etc. Trollybus right outside the hotel. A short walk to Budapests great Metrosystem. Just a few minuts to the city. Close to shoppingmalls because of the metro. Our second time in Budapest and we still enjoy the town.

Hotel Danubius is just a short stroll or ride from all of the main attractions that you can visit in this bustling city. Whether you have gone for sightseeing, shopping or just to chill out and have a good time you won't be disappointed with your choice of city or hotel. You can always try the the Health Spa in the hotel if you just want to relax after a long day in the city, or first thing in the morning after a hectic night on the tiles, but this little treat will do you the world of good and set you up for another day in Budapest. Enjoy!!!

The Helia Spa Hotel is a gem of Budapest. It is in a quite location beside the river. The hotel and rooms are modern, quite and clean. The four pool spa is also a gem. If you really want to relax and enjoy Budapest and the spa life, stay at the Helia. The breakfast is excellent. Don't worry if it's not included in the price of the hotel. It's only a few Euros extra. There is easy access to the city center via an electric bus outside of the hotel and an easy transfer to an above ground, scenic route tram. It takes less than twenty minutes to get to the city center from the hotel via public transportation. The hotel staff is more than happy to answer any questions you have. But, be brave, purchase a public transportation pass and hop around beautiful Budapest. It's a great way to see the city and experience life the way the Hungarians do. The Helia Spa Hotel is the place to return to and start your day on a visit to Budapest.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this smart hotel. Very comfortable room and esoecially enjoyed the fitness suite and spa facilities which were excellent. Very convenient position in relation to the main tourist areas-a pleasant walk along the Danube river to the Par;liament building.

Very good Hotel,clean and with very efficient staff,especially at the front office desk. Check in and out,fast and flawless. Very much appreciated not having had to struggle with the local language,thanks to the capable english speaking staff.

We were very pleasantly surprised at this hotel. The hotel is located in a very good location. There is direct access to bus (trolley/bus), only 1 station (approx. - 600 meters) to the metro station. There are many restaurants in the neighborhood and (as usual) in Budapest confectioneries. A supermarket is about 50m from the hotel. The hotel and the rooms were very clean. In the room you will find everything you may need. Safe, TV, iron, minibar, shampoo ... Everything was available. The staff was helpful at all times and nice. The wellness-rooms were also very clean. The food I sadly can't say, since we did not booked breakfast. In my opinion, are up to 20€/breakfast too much, but the room rate (superior with Danube-view for about 35 euros per night) can't be beat. If I want to go to Budapest, I will definitely choose this hotel again.

Good: Skutečně bohatá snídaně v hezkém prostředí, každý si vybere, bezproblémové parkování za 13€ na den, čistý pokoj o velikosti tak akorát, personál ok, do města Boltem za 10-16€. Je to příjemný hotel, ale čekali jsme víc... Bad: Hluk na chodbě jde slyšet opravdu hodně Wellness je přinejlepším průměrné ( jeden den bylo mimo provoz, ale mohli jsme navštívit jiný hotel s wellness ) Poslední den ráno netekla teplá voda. Trascorsi 5 giorni in questo meraviglioso hotel, camere pulite, personale molto attento e professionale (a me personalmente è successo un intoppo e hanno risolto immediatamente). Good: Hotel jest bardzo dobrze położony. Blisko metra i bardzo blisko przystanku trolejbusów i autobusów. Nieopodal Dunaju. Bardzo fajne 4 baseny i strefa SPA. Pyszne śniadania i kolacje. Miłym zaskoczeniem jest gratisowy kieliszek szampana lub sok oraz karafka wody do kolacji. Yellow bistro & Bar serwuje dobre dania obiadowe i desery. Ceny również ok. W pokoju - czajnik i kawa/herbata oraz duża butelka wody. Wygodne łózka. Niezwykle pomocny i profesjonalny personel. Bad: Jednak dość cienkie ściany.

Good: Skvelý hotel vo veľmi dobrej polohe. Raňajky boli skutočne bohaté a veľmi chutné. Všetko v hotely pôsobí novotou a leskne sa perfektnou čistotou. Mimo raňajok je k dispozícií reštaurácia s výborným jedlom.

Egy éjszakát töltöttünk el itt, és összességében nagyon jól éreztük magunkat. A szálloda jó helyen van, a recepciós kollégák maximálisan kedvesek és segítőkészek. A szoba szép, tiszta, az ágy pedig jaaaj, nagyon kényelmes volt. Egyszerűen imádtam! 😀 A reggeli választék fantasztikus! Szerintem aki itt nem talál fogához való falatot, az sehol sem. 😀 Nagyon barátságos volt, hogy habár a szobákat csak 15 órától lehetett volna elfoglalni, mi már 13 órától megtehettük ezt. Ami negatívum: a bisztró felszolgáló személyzete életunt, érdektelen, mondhatni barátságtalan. Szombaton öten lézengtek a pult mögött és körül, némelyikük kellemetlen cigarettaszagot árasztva magából, és kevés fogyasztó vendég híján egymást kerülgették. Kértünk egy szendvicset és türelmesen vártunk egy asztalnál, hogy felmelegítsék. Csakhogy valahogy elfeledkeztek róla. Nyolc-tíz perc várakozás után udvariasan jeleztük az egyik úriembernek, hogy nem-e elkészült már a szendvicsünk melegítése. A párom óvatlanul (😀) még viccelődni is próbált, mire az illető gúnyosan válaszolt vissza. A wellness részleg: az ülő medencék kissé hűvösek és "darabosak" voltak. A medencék körül gyerekek randalíroztak, fröcsköltek, hangoskodtak, zavarva ezzel a pihenni vágyókat. Hangsúlyozom, hogy ez persze nem a szálloda hibája!!! Nehéz is lehet kezelniük, főképp, hogy a szülők feladata volna ez. Viszont egy idős úr jelezte elégedetlenségét a részleg személyzetének, amit az illetékesek meglehetősen pökhendi kommunikációval intéztek. Ráadásul távoztunkban azt hallottuk vissza, hogy az egyik fiatalember, a wellness személyzetnek egyik tagja hangosan beszéli ki, szidalmazza a reklamáló vendéget az egyik kollégának. Szerintem az ilyen ügyeket diszkréten kellene kezelni a személyzet részéről. Tudom, hogy borzasztóan nehéz jó munkaerőt találni, de jó szívvel javasolnék a bisztró munkatársainak, illetve a wellness részlegen asztalon könyöklő huszonéves kollégáknak egy kommunikációs továbbképzést.

Good: Rettentően szép szoba, tisztaság, kényelem, odafigyelés. A lehető legkedvesebb volt mindenki. A reggeli brutál finom, és bőséges. Medencék tökéletesek, tisztaság és kellemes közeg várt a wellness részlegen is ránk. Az elhelyezkedése szuper, tömegközlekedéssel eljutsz mindenhova gyorsan. Csak pozitív! Bad: Minden nagyon jó volt, a szobában az ágy nem volt a fejtámlához kapcsolva, mivel mocorgós vagyok kicsit eltoltuk magunkat, de egyáltalán nem volt akkora gond.

Good: Nagyon finom és minőségi reggeli. A szálloda gyönyörű, hatalmas terekkel rendelkezik. A személyzet nagyon kedves volt. Tetszett, hogy a szobában a hűtő üres volt és így a saját dolgainkat bele tudtuk rakni. Bad: A szoba kilincse hol működött, hol nem. A fürdőszobában nem volt elszívó vagy csak nem működött, és kicsit fura szag is volt bent. Az ágy eléggé kényelmetlen volt. Nagyon meleg volt a szobában, amit nem lehetett levenni.

Good: Mic dejun de calitate, Spa-ul și faptul ca există o parcare mare, chiar dacă este contracost. Bad: Nu sunt lucruri care nu mi-au plăcut

Good: L'hôtel la situation géographique le petit déjeuner et l'espace piscine spa Bad: Les machines de la salle de sport sont un peu anciennes et certaines ne sont plus en état de marche. Le repas au restaurant de l'hôtel le soir sous forme de buffet n'est pas très rempli/varié.

Good: Πολύ ευγενικό προσωπικό και τέλειο πρωινό. Επίσης τα κρεβάτια ήταν πολύ άνετα, οι πισίνες πεντακάθαρες και η τοποθεσία πανέμορφη, κοντά σούπερ μάρκετ και μέσα μεταφοράς. Bad: Δεν βρήκα κάτι να μην μου αρεσε.

Good: Wir waren tatsächlich überrascht, nicht nur von Budapest sondern auch von diesem Hotel. Ganz freundliches Personal, angefangen von der Rezeption über Zimmer- und Frühstücksservice. Alles ist bestens organisiert. Das Frühstück ist der Knaller, alles, wirklich alles bis zum Ende. Parken für 12 Euro ist auch okay. Das Auto kann stehen bleiben. Man kann mit einem Ticket (Automaten dafür gibt es überall) für 7 Euro den ganzen Tag, mit allen Bahnen und Bussen, Budapest entdecken. Danke für diese herrlichen Tage. Volle Empfehlung. Wir kommen wieder.

Good: A fost un hotel complet, oferindu-ne acces la tot ceea ce aveam nevoie. Bad: Curățenia din cameră ne-a dezamăgit un pic, deoarece pe pat și în spatele lui am găsit fire de păr și praf.

Good: A tisztaság, kényelem és a reggeli, vacsora. Bad: A bejelentkezés sok időt igényelt. A reggelinél az egyik nő munkatársuk pofákat vágott, mert véletlen az útjába kerültem!

Good: Ηταν όλα άψογα. όλα ήταν καταπληκτικά και όλο το προσωπικό πολύ εξυπηρετικό . Το φαγητό και το πρωινό και ο,τι άλλο φάγαμε στο ξενοδοχείο .. πολύ νόστιμα όλα ! Bad: Καθημερινή καθαριότητα ωστόσο δεν έπαιρναν ποτέ τα βρώμικα ποτήρια που είχαμε στο δωμάτιο και δεν άλλαξαν κάποιες βρόμικες μαξιλαροθήκες .

Good: Teljes mértékben megvoltunk elégedve a szállással! Kifejezetten ami a legjobban megfogta a figyelmünket, hogy hatalmas volt a gluténmentes választék a reggelinél! Bad: personalul . zici ca sunt pusi la murat atat sunt de acri.foarte reci cu copiii si nu numai .Nu am asteptari sa se joace cu ei , dar cel putin ar putea sa le zambeasca . ori sa fie un hotel adults only si nu mai au aceasta problema . Ar putea fi amenajat un colt pentru copii in holul hotelului, In jurul restaurantului Yellow sau chiar sub scari . Politica foarte aiurea de a face predarea camerelor doar de la ora 15 . Am ajuns cu 20 de minute mai repede si nu a fost posibila asa ceva . Cand m-am intors la 15:00 holul era deja plin de oameni . imi e greu sa cred ca in cele 20 de minute s-a terminat curatenia in camere .

Good: Au fost foarte curate camerele, paturile au fost confortabil si luminile in camera au fost frumoase. Bad: Meniul de la bistro nu a fost diversificat, apa din piscina mare a fost prea rece.
