Good: The hotel is very good – the location is convenient. There is a large supermarket nearby and public transport stops close to the hotel. The reception staff are wonderful and very helpful with any questions. Bad: I understand that towels and bed linen are changed every few days, but from Thursday to Sunday our room was not cleaned at all, which was very disappointing.

Good: We loved our holiday here—our balcony room was comfortable & very clean, the pool & spa services (Salt Cave & massage) amazing, the breakfast & meals in the Cafe were delicious. We found the Danubius staff to be very friendly , professional & accommodating. Was delighted hotel was pet friendly. The location was perfect—close to great sites & by Uber so much was just minutes away!

Every breakfast and dinner felt like a feast — not just because of the variety and quality of the food, but because of the care and attention you clearly put into every detail. Everything was so delicious that even when we said we’d “just have a coffee,” we always ended up eating more because we simply couldn’t resist! From the fresh ingredients to the comforting local dishes and the beautifully presented buffets, everything was top-notch. The atmosphere was always welcoming, and the staff were consistently kind, smiling, and attentive. It really added to the joy of our trip. We had a great stay at Danubius Hotel Helia. The breakfast and meals were excellent — lots of variety and everything was delicious. The atmosphere of the hotel is really nice, very pleasant and relaxing. The rooms are spotless, modern, and newly designed, which we really appreciated. The view of the Danube River from the room was beautiful! On the downside, the balcony wasn’t as clean as we expected, as it was covered with spider webs. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, and it was a big plus that even though we arrived early, they allowed us to leave our luggage and use the hotel’s common areas while waiting for check-in. Overall, a great experience!

Good: The breakfast was perfect, especially on Sunday—pleasant to enjoy a glass of Hungarian sparkling wine. The spa was a nice bonus after a hot day of walking. Very friendly staff, convenient location and affordable parking. Extra plus: locked parking for bicycles if you’re traveling with one.👍

This is a mass market hotel, mainly used by tour groups and airline staff etc. There are 4 pools (very crowded) and the water is hot (38 degrees) and spa with medical services and therapy, river view. We booked the junior suite, and the bed was wonderful and very comfortable (hard matress). Breakfast was extremely crowded, most foods catered for, as expected for a 4 star hotel. Checkout is 11 am. Please bear this in mind, as some hotels have late checkout, but not this one. We were chased from the room with phone calls, knocks on the door, etc. You can open the windows. This is important to mention, as it is nolonger standard in some modern hotels.

Good: Very clean and good location. Room and bathroom was good size and immaculate. Bad: Air con working though I would have rather had it colder as outside between 30/36 degrees daytime. Dinner was not to my liking, meat was dried up and too salty, though breakfast is superb though you pay for coffee, very strange in a 4 star hotel.

Bad: Not enough toiletries (toothbrush/paste, body lotion), coffee/tea refills in the room, no Netflix app, lots of kids/families in the hotel - it can be loud.

Good: Welcoming hotel with excellent facilities including a spa with 3 separate swimming pools, sauna, treatment rooms, beauty salon etc. Decent rooms, clean, handy enough to metro stn. Decent breakfast. Bad: This hotel would have had a higher score but for the overly soft bed and pillows that offered no support whatsoever.

Good: Pools and spa was very good. Breakfast had a lot of variety and was delicious. Bad: We had an early flight. We asked for an early check-in but they said they haven’t got any ready room. We came back 1 hour before the regular check-in time. They said the same thing but they offered me early check-in with some amount of money with an email. So actually they had a ready room.

A Relaxing Stay with Everything You Need 🌟 We had a wonderful stay at Danubius Hotel in Budapest! This hotel truly offers everything you could want for a relaxing getaway — from the beautiful spa area to the comfortable and stylish rooms. The spa and wellness facilities are a highlight: a great mix of indoor and outdoor pools, several types of saunas, and plenty of massage and therapy options. Everything is clean, relaxing, and well organized. The only odd part was that the saunas were separated by gender, which felt a bit limiting — a mixed sauna would be a welcome addition. Our room was perfect — spacious, elegant, and very tastefully decorated. A small suggestion: it would be helpful to add trash bags to the bins, and in our case, the ventilation system wasn't working, which caused an unpleasant smell. Breakfast was overall very good and tasty, with a wide variety to choose from. Just one small thing — the omelet station can be quite slow, so a bit more speed there would make mornings smoother. Also, the coffee from the machines wasn’t great — we wouldn’t recommend it. The location is about 25 minutes walking till the turistic area but is a nice walk near Danube with great views. I prefer this one eaven if before we stayed in the center. Despite a few small details, this hotel is a fantastic choice, especially for those looking to unwind. The pools, spa, and overall atmosphere make it a top pick in Budapest. We’ll definitely return!

Good: Very clean property. The salt cave and multiple indoor pools were amazing! Breakfast was exceptional! Quiet location just outside of the city center but easily accessible transit to anywhere. Felt very safe and the price can’t be beat; nearly 1/3 of the cost as staying in downtown. There’s a grocery store and convenience store across the street. Bad: Bathrooms are quite small and air conditioning didn’t work the best.

Good: Hotel is situated close to the Hungarian Parliament (good location to be honest). The parking space has many places to park your vehicle. Breakfast has a lot of options Bad: Maybe a you should have some beverages in the minibar. The parking costs 12Eur/day. I see that it is very comon in Hungary to pay extra for parking. I personally don't like this practice.

Good: We have stayed at Danubius Hotel Helia on several occasions, and this year was no exception. Recently renovated rooms, magnificent view of the Danube River and Margit Island, courteous and professional staff, excellent breakfast selection, and well-maintained spa area featuring pools and jacuzzis — all of this creates hotel's cozy and unique atmosphere. Without a doubt, we will choose Danubius Hotel Helia again for our next visit to Budapest. Bad: The only minor inconvenience during this stay was the design of the shower cabin — despite our best efforts, water would still leak onto the bathroom floor.

Good: It was all very clean rooms over looking the river were all done up. It was very comfortable and clean. The spa was very nice all pools were inside though. The breakfast was sufficient aswell. Bad: We felt we were out a little from everything . No entertainment in the hotel

Good: The hotel is very good in terms of what you get for the money. Clean, even though i moved the bed and it was not clean underneath. But the sheets and everything else was good. The breakfast was very good with gluten free options as well and also traditional food. We also had dinner there and it was also very nice. Bad: The location is not great compared to the city center. Also when we went to the pool and wanted to but some slippers because it was mentioned that it’s mandatory (but all the people had the hotel room slippers), they couldn’t add the expense to the room which was an inconvenience for me as I didn t had my card or phone with me. And the most upsetting part was that I couldn’t pay them after, I had to go back to the room and get the card, pay the 4 euro for the slippers that no one else was wearing.

Hotel staff are so helpful , The hotel perfect for families and is in very good location at the side of the Danube river with perfect sight for Marguerite island ,Buda heights from other side of Danube river and our room have a Buda castle ( not so close but we can see it easily ) walking distance for supermarket , bus station and few handed meters to the underground.it was a great stay and definitely will be my place every time I visited Budapest.

Good: Everything was awesome! Spa zone has three different swimming pools with different temperature and sauna in each changing room. Lovely territory, close to the river where you can have a good walk with your dog.

Good: Comfortable beds. Lovely river view. Sensational breakfast. Staff were excellent and pool/steam room access is a highlight. Bad: Needed a space to hang wet bathing suit. The bathroom didn’t accommodate that which is tough for a hotel with a pool.

Good: big clean room that faces the Danube with a little balcony. came to the hotel also for the spa. good combination of spa and breakfast, and they have the useful bar. Tip: for cakes, go to "Trombitás cukrászda" just opposite the hotel, and take the salted cheese muffins. and also the cakes... the prima supermarket in just there on the way. breakfast was good, you will not stay hungry. Bad: the jacuzzi in the pools (air bubbles) shuts down automatically for 10 min. after 10 min. working. so you have to catch a place... there are 2 hot water pools - but only one has the bubbles. far from the city, you have to take a taxi if you wish to avoid public transport.

Good: The location was great, and bolt taxi service was awesome and very affordable to use. Cleanliness was outstanding. The breakfast was magnificent. The spar was nice and relaxing with a proper man's sauna (very hot 🔥), and most of all, the staff were wonderful. Very welcoming, friendly, and helpful. This was our first visit to hungary, and we felt very welcome from arriving at the airport to the hotel. Lovely people. We will definitely return ❤️ Bad: Nothing. Good: Excellent selection available for breakfast. Selection of food for lunch was also good with very tasty food, particularly, soups and salads. Gym, sauna and pool on site were also a real bonus. Great start to day before breakfast. Wife and I are 67 plus. We found out we could get free public transport which was a great bonus. Bus 15 around corner, city centre in 20 mins. What's not to like? Bad: Nothing to report!

Good: All the facilities are incredible, and the decoration is stunning, you can see that everything is throughly thought and taken care of. Breakfast is great, even when the restaurant is crowded. The spa is excellent. Bad: The pools could be very noisy, and the silent hours were not respected.

Good: I enjoyed everything except the quality of the cleaning. Bad: In our room, there were cobwebs and a buildup of dust in the corners. The cleaning does not appear to have been done properly, which is unfortunate, as the establishment itself is truly excellent. Sadly, the cleanliness does not match the high standard of the place.

Lovely hotel, excellent staff, very good location about 15 mins walk from the busy bit. The pool was really nice and a good size. Breakfast was a buffet and plentiful. Bar area was very pleasant. There are bus stops nearby for use of public transport. Top tip, buy a travel card (we got a 3 day one, £10 per person), unlimited travel on buses, trams and underground, all which are clean and frequent. Would definitely stay here again. 100% recommended.

Good: Nice room with nice view on Danube. Very comfortable bed and was near to the location where I had a conference. Very practical hotel that I will probably be using again in the future for my coming meetings and conferences. Bad: Something that I find strange in a lot of hotels is that showers are not equipped with thermostatic taps: set the temperature and you get no nasty surprises. How come so few hotels install this?? A bit far from city centre so pretty dead neighbourhoud in the evening (but maybe that's a good thing when coming for work ;-) )

Well kept, staff was friendly and helpful, room was clean and was able to accommodate our family of 4 adequately. It was close to everything and literal walking distance from the Danube river close to all the boats. Breakfast was also delicious stayed 4 nights and it was great each time.

I have spend 3 night 3 years ago. The Hotel have a lot to offer, I did not use most of it. However, the view to Danube river is so peacefull. You would have the best view of the island. And you can walk cross the bridge to get in to it. Bar, pool and not too far from center nice caffee near by local one not star box 😉.

Good: Hotel was in a lovely location with views of the Danube from our balcony. The room was very clean & very comfortable. Bad: Breakfast some mornings were very busy, and I noticed they had only one toaster operating...They really could do with more.🧐🤔
