We visit St John’s Wood Wellington hospital all the way from Cyprus twice a year as my wife has treatment here. We have never managed to get a reservation for 4 days. Did this time, great value and it’s excellent. Room is a decent size and especially for London, nice lounge area and the check in just really nice (Renata was very helpful).

The Danubius is located in the heart of north west London, a stone throw away from Madame Tussaud and Baker Street Station, about 10 minutes away from Marble Arch. Ideal for those who want to experience London at its best!

Good: Right next to Lord‘s cricket ground. The best location if you are in town to watch a match at the Lord‘s. If you are lucky you may even run into a few former cricketers at the restaurant 😊

Good: The room was one of the best we have stayed in. Great layout for a family and all the space and storage you need. Great location for Wembley Stadium and to make the most of our time in London - within easy reach of St John's Wood, Camden market and Baker Street. Staff very helpful and provided recommendations for places to eat. Bad: Outside looks dated. Don't let that put you off!

Had to move rooms - was in an old, no pleasant room (they did move into a very nice room, however). A member of staff came up to give us new keys. He saw the bags packed and outside the door, ready to go, and did not even offer to help move. He just handed us the keys!! Nobody in the lobby ever greets you when you walk in or leave. Housekeeping, it seems, is always pressuring you to come in and clean the room. One time we had the DND on the door, and still got a call asking when they can come do the room. Ot seems they just want to clean the rooms and go home asap. One day, saw a housekeeper sitting on the floor at the end of the corridor, on her phone. Did not even bother to look up when we walked by, but what was she doing sitting on the floor, on her phone. When we checked out, we were not even asked how our stay was, or anything about our stay overall. In summation, the room we moved to, and location of the hotel, was great. The customer service is non-existent, and needs major improvement.

Good: The breakfast buffet had nice choices. The room was clean and comfortable. However, Bad: When I booked the room well in advance of my stay, I requested to be put in a room where we were far from the train so we didn't hear it. They put us on the second floor and my brother and his wife on the 8th floor. They said our rooms were different which isxwhy they put us on the 2nd floor. They were not. The first night, I heard a rumble. It turned out it was the train! Fortunately i had taken ear plugs and the train didn't run all night long. They do start up in the early morning. It felt very intentional since my brother's room was nice and quiet. My recommendation would be to not make special requests till you get there!!

Good: A lovely hotel with a warm welcome as soon as we parked our car. I wish I’d got names to thank everyone. Ultra clean room which was a free upgrade and a lovely surprise. We had room service and it was delicious and very reasonably priced. Free parking if you have your blue disabled badge too which was a brilliant addition to a really lovely stay. Highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay again Bad: That we couldn’t stay longer

Good: The hotel is conveniently located between two underground stations, St John's Wood and Baker Street. There are also bus stops outside the hotel. Little Venice is a 20 minute walk away. The room is equipped with a kettle and a coffee machine, there is an iron and an ironing board, and we got a nightgown and a pair of sleepers. Beds were very comfortable. Bad: Breakfast was good, but monotoneous, every day the same products. We stayed 6 nights and after a couple of days it became boring to have the same things. There were no options for lactose intolerant, no plant-based or lactose-free dairy products. Also, we would welcome some leafy greens as the only vegetables were tomatoes and cucumbers.

Perfect hotel. Actually beyond perfect. For around 125 pounds a night, my wife and I with our 2 young kids had two separate rooms with two separate full bathrooms, 2 TVs, 2 fridges, 2 single beds and 1 double/queen... You get the idea. It was a typical North American sized suite. Everything was clean. Shower was hot. AC was cold... There was AC! If you don't understand how big of a deal that is here you haven't spent a lot of time in the UK. We could put the kids to bed and still hang out. Even the water bottle was complimentary. Tube is a 10 min walk but honestly a bus that gets you to Oxford Street within 15 minutes comes pretty much every 5 minutes. 24hr convenience store 15 meters from the front door. Quiet neighbourhood. Absolutely insane value for London.

Good: The hotel is really nice and clean. Feels luxurious. Great value for money considering I paid less for the room than some London budget hotels were charging. Air con in rooms, duck feather pillows, great shower, very clean. Iron and ironing board in the wardrobe. Nespresso machine with pods, tea and coffee and water in the mini fridge. Staff very friendly on check in and there is a free luggage store. Bad: It is quite a trek from the two nearest tube stations. 15m each way, which is ok if you don't have to do it multiple times, but we had to due to no early check in. On enquiring they said it may be possible on the day, but they could only guarantee it if I booked the room for the night before too! This would have meant paying £200 just to be able to check in 2 hours early! I later received an email from them via booking.com saying I could upgrade to have an early check in and/or late check out for £30. I selected early check in and it said that it was waiting for the hotel to confirm, which didn't happen. When I emailed again I got the same response about needing to book the room the night before again. Not sure why the email was even sent. Their saving grace was the luggage store and the concierge was lovely. I did manage to check in an hour early in the end with no extra charge though. No issues otherwise.

Good: Comfortable, clean room, breakfast good. Proximity to upscale St Johns Wood High Street for a variety of restaurants, shopping and people watching. Locals rather than tourists. Convenient busses to Baker St Tube station..gets you everywhere. Bad: No walk in showers. I am a bit unsteady. tubs high, some difficulty getting in and out Outside there are brick steps to get to the road. NONE of the lights work. We have been coming to the Danubius long enough to know there are several lights but you wouldn't know it now. It is dangerous, easy to miss a step especially at dusk and at night. My husband reported this to the concierge on duty Wednesday evening (23rd July) but it was clear he had little interest in taking the matter further.

We stayed for five nights while seeing London and the surrounding areas. We are a family of four and our room had two twin beds, which is a bonus! We had a mini fridge. Good: Beautiful rooms that were very clean and well decorated. You got a robe and slippers and a fridge in the deluxe king. The shower had good pressure. The blackout curtains were great. The breakfast was really nice. The scrambled egg was so tasty, and the freshly made smoothies. There was a lot of choice. The tube was a short walk away. We would definitely stay again if we were to watch cricket at Lords as the location is amazing. Bad: When we checked in, the staff spoke far too quietly, which caused a lot of confusion. I don't understand why they weren't speaking at a normal volume. I'm only 33 and not deaf and everyone in our party said the same thing. Also, our friends got given the room we had just been given and had to get that fixed.

Good: We were here to watch 3 days of the Lord's cricket match between India and England and this hotel turned out to be as good as it can get! The memories of waking up, getting ready, having breakfast at the restaurant and then simply crossing the road to join the crowd heading to the game will remain with me forever. We were helped whenever needed by friendly staff, both at the check-in counter and the gentleman at the concierge. There is someone available for help 24x7. The room was big with nice fittings. The Nespresso machine and coffee pods in the room are an excellent touch. The bar had a good vibe on Sunday night and I could catch the Chelsea PSG game on TV, with a few beers and a Pizza. The neighbourhood is one of the best in London for walks, with Regent Park close by as well. The location is well connected by bus and underground.

Super family room, clean and well-maintained. Staff friendly at check-in and check-out. Excellent breakfast, although after a late night we were rushing breakfast - staff were putting things away before 11am and had to be asked for bread to make toast and butter. We were then asked to leave at 11 while eating. Unusual as hotels usually give you some time to finish eating, staff were really unfriendly in the breakfast room. Excellent coffee but only managed one cup by taking it up to our room with us! Felt about as welcome as fart in a spacesuit.
