Good: We’ve been to London four times in the last few years and this years stay at the Danubius has been our most enjoyable. The hotel was clean, comfortable, quiet, the food was excellent, staff were polite and helpful. The hotel is close to the Lord’s cricket ground, which was well served by public transport. We had a fantastic stay and will definitely be returning for next year’s trip. Bad: I can’t fault it at all

We chose Danubius for one night because of its proximity to Lords and we took lovely walk through Regents Park which is also close by. The hotel is not flash looking from the outside but inside it is beautiful. We were greeted by the Concierge who took our bags. All the staff were friendly and professional. Buffet breakfast was excellent. Family room and bathroom was large for three adults. Excellent stay all round.

Good: Comfortable king size bed. Large room and bath with a great tub! Big window. Good breakfast. Area nearby with good restaurants. Bad: The closest tube station is a 17 or more min walk. There are buses closer but we did not take time to figure them out. This might be fine for most people but hard for me.

A bit dated in modern tech terms? But nonetheless an enjoyable weekend break was had here. The Finsbury area is away from the central London hub but offers lots of it's own charm Good public transport from here too.

Good: The accommodation was in a perfect location for us to reach the Wembley Stadion for a concert. It is near buses that bring you to the center very quickly. The room was clean and comfortable, staff was friendly. Bad: Everything was fine. Bigger stores (like Tesco), groceries and backeries are 10-15 minutes away on foot, but that was not a problem for us.

Amazing staff, incredibly helpful and accommodating for our party of 9. We came during a tube strike, we still had amazing time even if we got in more steps than we originally anticipated. Beautiful views from updated, clean rooms. We appreciated the complimentary bottled water and the ease of parking. We hope to visit again!

Good: Excellent breakfast with a broad range of food available. Friendly and efficient staff. Nice setting Bad: On the second evening in the bar a waitress took my wife's empty plate away and also attempted to take my plate and napkin whilst I was still eating some pizza. Several employees at the pay station intently watched whilst I finished my meal and as soon as I had, came rushing across and cleared our table. This was unfortunate as service during the previous evening's meal was excellent. I wouldn't expect anything to be taken from a table whilst somebody was still eating.

Having a duplex room as a family with two teenagers was perfect. The breakfast was fantastic with lots of variety and free from alternatives. Such a warm welcome on arrival and each day and they sorted our bags to the room. Both floors of the duplex had all the facilities so two bathrooms, iron and board, hairdryer, kettle, fridge TV etc so we didn't have to keep going up and down the stairs to get things. Just 18 mins walk to Baker Street underground and then access to everything we wanted to visit from there. Around Baker Street are lots of restaurants and mini supermarkets too. Would definitely stay again.

Great Service From Reception And The Concierge Team The Moment We Arrived...!!!!! Great Room...(Which Was Ready Early) Great Breakfast....!!!! Just 1 Gripe...We Tried For A Drink In The Bar When We Returned...It Was Busy And A Waitress Tried Desperately To Find Us A Table But To No Avail.....She Checked With The Bar Manager..Who Looked Us Up And Down And Replied " We Have No Tables..." Super Abruptly...!!!! Even The Waitress Seemed Shocked...!!!! We Resigned Ourselves To Grab A Bottle And Go Back To The Room.. Maybe Some More Tables Or Provisions Could Be Made On Matchdays..??? APART From This It Was All Amazing...!!!!!!!

Good: The size of the room, the view from the room, the bed with various different pillows to choose from. The toiletries in the bathroom, and the shower was great! The tea, coffee and water in the room and a mini fridge to use if required. Check out time was really late, so no rushing in the morning. The hotel looks a bit drab from the outside but is perfectly kept on the inside, the staff were really helpful and welcoming. The bar area was lovely with sport playing on the tv. The hotel is within walking distance (10-15mins) from Marylebone and st johns wood stations. Very close to lords cricket ground and regents parks. We will 100% stay here again Bad: Nothing

Good: The hotel exceeded our expectations. The exterior did not do justice to the comfort, cleanliness, and spaciousness of the rooms. The built in usb chargers and complimentary water were much appreciated details. And. the breakfast was delicious! We did not expect so many options for the breakfast, but it’s definitely worth getting. An added bonus was its location right next to the cricket grounds as well as walkability to Regents Park and the lovely main area of the neighborhood. We would definitely come back to stay in this non-touristy area again at this hotel. Bad: Exterior was not particularly charming, but again did not detract at all from the wonderful experience

We initially booked the standard double room but then upgraded to a deluxe double room for an earlier check in. Room was clean, had yea and coffee facilities and some basic toiletries. Even had a view of the London eye in the distance. Breakfast offered a great choice and was unlimited. Shower is fixed to the wall and not very powerful. I would say this was the only downfall but very manageable as we only stopped for one night. Staff were super helpful and friendly. Would stay again. Thank you.

Update Aug 2025: booked again via Booking.com and received a notification via the app a few days before our stay, inviting us to upgrade our rooms for an additional cost. Politely declined, as we were only staying for one night and would be arriving late and leaving early. We were then told on arrival that we had been given a "complimentary upgrade" to deluxe rooms, but they were exactly the same as the ones we had last year! Edit: having looked on the website, the Deluxe rooms are apparently recently refurbished, but I don't see why that should be considered an "upgrade" and I'm glad I didn't fall for the invitation to pay extra for the privilege. I compared my photos and the room was identical to the one I had last year, which I'd also booked as a "standard double" on booking.com. The so-called "deluxe" rooms aren't even that big considering the price for a 4* Hotel. The Hotel is still very nice and has a luxury atmosphere in the communal areas, but Breakfast wasn't as good as we remembered, with a smaller selection of hot items and long queues for the 2 coffee machines, which also seem to be the only source of hot water for tea. I think there used to be staff serving tea and filter coffee, which restricted demand for the coffee machines to those wanting specialist coffees and saved others from having to queue. 2 machines seemed inadequate for the hotel's capacity. Would recommend queuing for hot drinks before getting cooked breakfast items, as mine had gone cold by the time I sat down. Like everywhere else, I suspect the increasing cost of labour has caused them to reduce waiting staff, which might be understandable if it were a budget hotel, but it isn't exactly a Premier Inn! Instructions for the Air Conditioning would also have been useful. The unit is very loud and switched itself on during the night, waking me up, even though it was a cool night and wasn't needed. Had to Google how to turn it off. Switching it up / down didn't work. Seems you have to press and hold both buttons simultaneously to switch it off completely, or it just comes back on. Couldn't find any instructions in the room at all and didn't want to phone reception and have them send someone up in the middle of the night. Found it hard to get back to sleep after that. The rooms are quiet but you can hear other guests entering and leaving their rooms because the doors slam shut, so it isn't exactly restful! The location is still good for Lords, but remains let down by the entrance, which is not geared to pedestrians or anyone with accessibility issues (ridiculous in Central London!); but it doesn't seem that friendly for drivers either, as the car park is very small with very little turning space, causing a lot of beeping and frequent road rage! ----July 2024---- Perfect location for Lord's Cricket Ground. I had a 10th floor room overlooking the Nursery End. The main entrance is a few minutes' walk around the corner from what looks like should be the main entrance, directly opposite Lord's. This is a bit of a shame because the pedestrian entrance either involves a lot of steps, or the fairly steep vehicle entrance, which isn't exactly safe or ideal for those with mobility issues, but this was my only very minor complaint. The room was clean and well appointed, with a bathrobe, slippers, hairdryer, iron & ironing board all provided, as you might expect for the price. Breakfast was very generous with a wide range of cooked and Continental options, as well as breads, pastries and a coffee machine with every possible variety of coffee plus decaf alternatives for all of them, which is unusual. The Concierge was also very helpful in looking after our luggage before check-in and after check-out. It isn't cheap but the location, luxury but unpretentious atmosphere, breakfast and excellent service make it worthwhile if you don't mind paying a bit more, or for a special occasion

Good: The location was ideal for attending the cricket at Lords. The staff were friendly and made us feel welcome. Bad: The coffee sachets in the room need to be changed for a better quality product. Dinner plates used for breakfast need to be warmed. The Danish pastries at breakfast were poor quality.

Good: The location is amazing and it is a very good value for money. I’ve always stayed in the renovated rooms so I can’t tell about the other ones. The rooms are clean, comfortable and the staff are very nice, supportive and helpful.
