Good: I have long wanted to spend some time in this hotel....It was divine! Bad: Reception, room, cleanliness, dinner, spa... everything is fantastic!

Had stayed here for 5 nights for a software engineering conference(2019 pre covid era) view from the room was excellent and the room was big was a double split beds kinda room,atleast the room that was alloted to me directly faced the riverfront at night i could also see the lights on the bridges and the famous parliment building from my window. Breakfast and lunch(free since conference) and other snacks,pattisere, drinks(again free) were excellent,quite the variety. Front desk lady was super polite and showed on a actual physical map what all we could visit,where the trams,bus lines were etc etc. Other staff was super polite and friendly too(expected some racism as a person of indian origin,got none like absolute zero racism). Bathroom was slightly smaller than expected but was well heated. Sundecks great for sunbathing too. Buildings around the hotel seems straight out of a cold war/spy cold war movie. Best part was its located near to the metro,bus lines and is in the quite part of the riverfront rather than the crowded part of budapest near the chain birdge. The riverfront was quite peaceful to sit and relax in the evenings.

Good: Price of breakfast was different first day and second day...everything else was great and awesome.

Good: Very comfortable beds, nice view, nice breakfast. The swimming pools were great and interesting (three pools with different water temperature). The staff was friendly and kind.

Good: I am staying at this hotel all time when I travel to Budapest. They are renewing the rooms, the lobby is updated and really nice and SPA facilities are great. Good breakfast, kind staffing, safe parking, confortable rooms, good location nearby Danube and old city town. Bad: Some floors are in renewing phase and there are some working arround (it was not too disturbing for us). On the other hand, my Danubius loyalty card was expired and I need to send some mails to somebody to re-activated it. I was expecting to be done there, at the front desk, not spending time with mails and paper works, but this is not related to the overall impression which is a good one.

Good location of the hotel, close to the center of Budapest. The price corresponds to the accommodation.

Good: Nice wellness, comfortable beds. Bad: Staff can speak louder. I can not understand them sometimes.

We had a very comfortable stay at the newly refurbished room. The bed was big and lovely. Nice bathroom with soft towels and bathrobes. The breakfast was delicious and we had very nice lunch and dinner at the bistro. The staff is friendly and attentive. We will be back for sure!

Good: Everything. Excpecialy stuff.lady on reception, in galley, all of them tried all they best.

Good: We loved the room, which has been refurbished to the very high standard. Comfortable big bed. Lovely bathroom with wonderful soft towels and bathrobes. The staff very friendly and attentive. Good: Nice ambience, lobby area and great breakfast. Bad: Unfortunately some part of the hotel wing was under construction which caused some drilling noise during the day but it wasn’t unbearable.

Good: The pool, the breakfast. Bad: The dinner buffet was expensive for what it offered.

Good: My dad travels to Budapest for a lot of work and stays here mostly because of its spa. He says the hotel is very clean and central. That's why I reserve it every time he visits. Bad: Nothing.

Good: The hotel is extraordinary and so is the staff. Very kind people who welcome you only with smiles and perfect professionalism. I spent a 3-day New Year's stay and felt extremely well. Congratulations to the whole team!

Good: Clean, roomy hotel. Rooms nice, breakfast and jacuzzi all great. It was out of the centre but bus stops and the underground was very close and cheap/reliable. Bad: The pool area is busy and smaller than on the pictures. Bathroom very small

Good: We stayed at the Helia Hotel in Budapest for the umpteenth time. We had a great time again. Friendly service, perfect location, abundant and delicious breakfast, comfortable, clean room. We will come again next time.

Good: Stay in the hotel was very pleasant. Food was really excellent. It is possible to accommodate in the hotel with dog. Fee for dog is quite high, but personal is more than friendly to dogs. You can feel really welcomed with our pet. Thank you.

Good: The hotel was currently renovated, so the rooms looked modern. The wellness area is quite big and there are saunas too. The breakfast and dinner always had good choices. We liked everything about hotel.

Beautiful and clean rooms with incredible view. The best part of our accommodation was the warm pools. The breakfast was delicious and we had a lot of options.

The hotel is very nice but a bit away from the centre but can be reached quite easily by bus. It was raining and too cold outside so I managed to enjoy the spa benefits.

Everything about The Helia is great from the friendly staff to the superb riverside location.

I stayed there for a week in November and everything was the best as usual. Had a power outage in my room, reported it to reception and it was restored within ten minutes. Had breakfast every morning and it was great. Such a good variety of foods. Tasty start to the day. The leisure facilities are exceptional. Used them every day. The staff are always friendly and helpful. Will only stay there when I go to Budapest.

This was not my first and definitely not my last time booking this hotel. Great location close to the Danube and services that make your stay all the more enjoyable. The staff is very professional and helpful and the hotel's restaurant and bar offers a wide variety of meals & drinks. Rooms are well equipped, the wellness and spa area is clean and a joy to return to after a long day out in the city. I absolutely recommend this hotel and cannot wait to return there myself.

Good: Enjoyed the facilities, meals, swimming pool and spa was great. Room service was good and housekeeping services were regular with linen change in between stay. Bad: The gym equipment could be modernised in line with the other hotel facilities.

I would be very happy to recommend it to others.

Good: Really nice place - I have stayed in one of the renovated rooms. I didn't had time to visit the spa center this time, but both restaurants in which I have had dinner are great. Very good breakfast :) Really close to the public transport stops.

Good: The heated swimming pools was nice to spend time with kids. Also, the breakfast included a variety of options. Bad: NA

My husband and I love the breakfast buffet and the relaxed feeling of the hotel. We also loved the small restaurant, "Yellow," where we had two excellent meals with family. The health club is a wonderful opportunity to work out in the exercise rooms. There are two floors: one for weight training and the second for cardio exercises. bikes, treadmills, and ellipticals. Most of all, we love the three pools of different temperatures. The hotel has all we need for a wonderful getaway.

Everything was good, bed was comfy, breakfast was very good.

Good: The pool is excellent, the food is very delicious. Bad: Very good location, just on the river and close to main buildings. The staff were very polite and helpful. I did not understand way was necessary to print so much paper when we check out.

Good: I came to Danubius Helia for the first time in 2003. Then again in 2013. And now for the third time in 2023. It is a great hotel, with a great location near the Danube and a great thermal spa. Thermal pools are the best thing about this hotel as you get this Budapest experience in a clean and quite environment unlike public spas. Bad: Room had a funny odour but I couldn't figure out what it was. Breakfast is pricey but that is known in advance. Room design is dated so it's good that they are working on refurbishing it.

I actuality was leaving Budapest this morning, But flight was canceled so airline put me up for a night At this fabulous Hotel. Front Desk clerk( Female)did not have my reservation from airline, that was another possible stressful situation added to canceled flight. But when I tell you how nice/ caring and professional She was that really Amazed me that there are still Wonderful people in this world. Restaurant staff was great all nice, professional, This hotel is Amazing,alot of Ammenities, Impressive Hotel.August 28th

Good: Thank you to the hotel for making our stay in Budapest more pleasant. Friendly and helpful staff. Delicious buffet breakfast, fresh food was waiting for us even at the last minute. Cozy and clean room with a beautiful view of the river. Fresh towels every day. Spacious wellness with pleasant pools. Parking is possible in front of the hotel, 12€/day. Bad: The bathrobes we had in the room were of one size, rather smaller for ladies. Would like to add a larger size for men.

Wonderful Experience. stayed here for the night after my week at the Sziget Festival and it was needed. Everyone from the Doorman to the chefs were kind and welcoming to me!

Nice and comfortable hotel which located 5mins walk from a metro station. Large spa and pool and nice bar and lobby restaurant complete the pampered atmosphere.

Bad: Quiet hours in the spa and pool were not regulated - there were loud children who were jumping in the pool after 8pm when the hotel states that's not allowed.
